My husband worked for the railroad Terminal Railroad in St. Louis. He was getting ready to switch out an industry when luckily he noticed a couple drunks climbing on the cars he was about to tie onto. He was able to talk them into climbing down and stumble their way out of there before he started working.
I heard of one man that constantly hopped trains, despite being caught and reprimanded multiple times. His last ride ended with his decapitation by a low bridge. His body rode with the train across a whole state before it was spotted. What was left of his head was found a month later near the bridge. I heard this from a video about people doing stunts that got themselves killed. Btw, I was unaware that Iowa Interstate had a heritage unit. Finding they have one for the original Rock Island is a nice surprise.
When I was in Brakeman I rode like this on those quite frequently. Especially on heavy switch out. That's just part of the train crew. He'll flip the switch on the back end of that move.
5:57 That's very dangerous. Being around train tracks can be very dangerous. Trains can be very quiet or masked by the sound of another train. The danger may not be apparent but they can sneak up on you until it's too late to get out of their way. Many people have been killed by the train they didn't see coming.
Have you guys ever thought of putting a cam at union pacifics bailey yard it is non stop action 24-7-365 days a year 2 hump tracks all kinds of train action
This is why, as an engineer, I have no sympathy for people like this if something happens to them. That includes all of you modern day "Hobos" and thrill seekers.
Foamers taking trespassing to the next level riding on trainz lol
Bros be trespassing to the next level, love the Iowa interstate heritage unit

The Ferromex SD40 has a SD40-2 dynamic brake housing. Very unusual.
