  • Today we're going on a rock hunt at the gorgeous Tobey Falls in Maine. Petrified wood (I think?), gooey green slime, bugs, slate, beautiful scenery, and other goodies are just waiting to be discovered. I cut a whole 30 second clip of me singing "Teddy Bear Picnic" out of this video, so you're welcome. If I sound out of breath, it's because I was.
Pro tip: Go to Tobey Falls in October and you might see salmon jumping up the waterfall!

My husband just said, this is you, where ever we go you come back with pockets full of rocks.
If you'd ever like to visit Ireland, there are some really cool rock hunting beaches, my favourite has a really good selection of marbles and onyx, granites, flint, basalt, sea glass and one beach has a type of shell that can only be found on that beach. only that beach in the whole wide world. And the river near us has gold in it!!!
Also we have a guest section so can host you as well and show you big tourist places like The Giant's Causeway, and all the places that the tourists don't go too. Best beach in the UK is only a 10 minute drive away. And cool caves too.
Confuse the heck outta customs by bringing back a suitcase full of rocks LOL...

    ‘These rocks are slippery’
‘I’m alone I. The middle of nowhere no cell service so I’m trying to be careful’
    *jumps across rocks almost falls*.

Would be nice, but there has not been any petrified wood found in Maine. Closest would be some plant fossils in the NE area of Baxter State Park, it is the state fossil. Slate can take up forms that look that way, I know. The falls are a nice place to just sit back and do nothing and keep an eye on the doggo.

Catastrophizing... then it's "OOOH! Look at that rock! Wait there's an orange sock (I think it's orange, maybe it's just rusty orange). Isn't it pretty here? Why yes it is! ...My internal dialog when I'm just a tiny bit manic. Thanks for sharing!
