I think this is an amazing scene. follow the reactors emotions, disgust for the wall street bros, pity for Arthur, the mixed emotions of Arthur shooting in self defense then murder. the confusion on their faces as Arthur as dances and enters Sophie's apartment.

• Subway - Joker (2019)
Dance represents control of your body or say yourself and expression of your being, joker is basically a resentment story, after killing those guys for the first time Arthur felt the control in himself as he dances after that.
Arthur descends into madness, slowly transcending into the Joker. Possessed by chaos.
One wrong day was all it took for him to turn.
"madness as you know is like gravity, all it takes is a little push"
Pretty sure it took his whole joke of a life to get him there…
This is one of the best channels to watch reaction mashups for movies
"Y'all kicked the wrong clown today."
He was Arthur at the start of the video and by the end had fully become The Joker
That dance in the bathroom was like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon. That was the Joker emerging.
This also the exact moment he became Heisenberg.
Can't blame him, those guys were crypto bros
I remember watching this in theaters and man oh man those rounds fired in this scene were SO LOUD! Like far more than usual. I felt like I almost crapped my pants I jumped scared so hard.
That dancing scene is where I realized I was watching something special
This scene is a based on the 1984 subway vigilante shooting case.
Joaquin Phoenix DESERVED that Oscar!
No cap.
A kill Bill edit would please the masses. Appreciate the work you have been putting into these videos 🍿🥸🔥
Just a reminder, Arthur only killed the people that hurt him.
Fun fact: the gun that Arthur uses is a Smith and Wesson Model 36, which only has a 5-round cylinder; Arthur fires 7 shots in this scene. This could be interpreted as a continuity error but I like to imagine it's another case of Arthur's 'unreliable narrator' tendencies showing their ugly head again.
This shit happens at nightly, usually in the city. Its a zoo after the sun goes down.
i started laughing when the girl with the pink lipstick said "misogynistic"
Love how these people critic actions in the safety of their non troublesome life... bet they wouldnt act according to their so called standards/principles if placed in the ssme situation
LOL Having watched a ton of reactions at this point, I always find it ironic how a of reactors tend to hate on characters for acting in a way or doing things that they've all probably done at some point in their lives. I mean, there's a reason why the phrase "Nobody's perfect" isn't just hyperbole.
"Y'all kicked the wrong Clown t'day..."
A dark butterfly emerging from his cocoon.
I've always interpreted the dance scene as an almost Medieval thought process on the "Dance of Death".
Great movie.
I wonder if any of these reactors do any information on historical events because I had zero sympathy for the Joker character. This scene and the opening was both reminiscent of The Central Park Five case when they referenced wilding in the scene and the train scene was clearly about Bernard Goetz. The racist who shot four innocent teenage black males.
if the joker had a theme song. It would Snap by slipknot
blabe dance like samurai/ but it's swhiwa dance/ dance of death all be good
"Memories can be vile. Repulsive little brutes, like children I suppose. But can we live without them? Memories are what our reason is based upon. If we can't face them, we deny reason itself! Although, why not? We aren't contractually tied down to rationality. There is no sanity clause. So when you find yourself locked down in an unpleasant train of thought, heading for the places in your past where the screaming is unbearable, remember: There's always madness. You can just step outside and close the door, and all those dreadful things that happened, you can lock them away. Madness... is an emergency exit"
Legal demais 😊
Do Arrival next !
this shows why most reaction channels are horrible. It's supposed to be a reaction not constant color commentary. most reactors talk way too much. popcorn in bed is my favorite reaction channel because she doesn't feel the need to constantly talk.
Notice the villains are of course white wall street guys. I'm not racist but I'm also not blind & if you watch the news it isn't white wall street men that have people afraid to ride the subways of NYC. This movie is heavily inspired by Taxi Driver & this specific sequence is clearly inspired by Bernard Goetz subway incident , which again was not white wall street men. Even a great movie like this has to play the Hollywood pc game. I wonder if the same people who are fine with the "bullies" getting killed if the "bullies" were young minority men? Specifically young black men? Most wouldn't know how to react because they aren't used to being realistically challenged with opaque racial issues cause Hollywood is garbage. For the record I acknowledge that for most of Hollywood's history they made minorities the scapegoat for everything & it was awful too. That being said going 180 the other way is two wrongs make a right logic.
I agree with your sentiment, but I thought the final straw was their social status. We've seen he was sadly accustomed to violence in his area, but... If these three well dressed, educated and comfortably well off men were the "cream of society" - that's an indictment on society, not Arthur.
You are a sub human racist vermin. It wouldn’t have mattered if the perpetrators were POC. Because criminals are criminals, and it’s also very telling how your low IQ self thinks it’s impossible for Wall Street men to be thugs. 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
It wouldn’t have mattered if they were people of color, criminals are criminals, once you pose a threat to someone s safety they have every right to take you out. And you are a sub human racist vermin, it’s telling how your low IQ self thinks it’s impossible for white wall street guys to be dangerous thugs. As a matter of fact your mayo kind commits most mass shootings, school shootings, terrorist attacks etc. look in the mirror before opening your rotten mouth, you sub human racist vermin.🤡🤡🤡🤡
some of these reactors are dumb being drunk and belligerent = being killed now?? first 2 yea ok i agree with that he was defending himself but the last one was straight up murder
No it wasn’t. By law maybe... but law is corrupt and false oftentimes.
Or so you want to say Slavery was ok because it was legal after all.
Meh they all deserved it
Why didn't he become Genjuro?
Not the real joker just a dude in joker make up it’s like they remade taxi driver and put jokers make up on a dude.
Worth going to jail 4 life no wound them yes
the first shot the joker fired caught me off guard as well, like i knew it was coming but it was just so... simple but brutal
I legit didn't think Arthur was gonna kill those guys, I thought he was just gonna go back home and sulk
"Killed the bullies, got the girl." or at least imagined he did.
The first two he would’ve easily walked on self-defense, but the last killing was definitely murder
@@enclaveleader6245 Good luck trying to use that in court
Self-Defense is only applicable if the same amount of force being used against the offender is the same amount of force said offender used against the victim. For this scene, the asshats were kicking and punching Arthur so Arthur would’ve had to use his fists or feet back to claim self-defense. The moment he pulled and shot his gun made it not self-defense but involuntary homicide or a crime of passion. Sadly, the law doesn’t consider the moment but the objective facts 😞
@@MBStudios That's not how it works brah
@@gui.a.bbeckers941 in what way? What you say self-defense is or the way the courts are gonna see it?
Well, no one saw what exactly happened and he has a history of mental illness so may have walked on that one too...
I like how everyone quiets down when he starts to dance.
3:13 the all at once gasp is just perfect 👌
The absolute most terrifying thing about this movie is that the way things are in 2023/24, you could easily see something like this happening. The tag line should've been "How much can one man take?" A true lesson in psycho analysis.
This is how we make a psycho of each other.
ppl are shocked that no one is nice forget what city joker takes place in
Many Reactors Use and Sympathise with Arthur More then Travis in Taxi Driver. to me Im sympathetic with both Characters not just one
4:03 something funny about joker making the audience justifying murder lol
Nah we don’t need him too. We feel it’s justified regardless... because it is 🙂
@@terrencemoldern2756 you’re too old to be edgy
@@nocarebutyes3436 if you call justified actions edgy then I guess I’m guilty. Still true though
@@terrencemoldern2756 you think like a school shooter. shoot the kneecaps but to murder a man crawling away doesn’t seem justified.
@@nocarebutyes3436 keyword “seem”...
All I get from you is how you think murderers, thieves and rappers should get to get away with their crimes simply because they in the “last minute” decide to stop attacking you and run away.
When I took the course to get my concealed weapon’s permit, one of the things they teach you is that you can never shoot someone in the back, because if their back is to you, they’re not/no longer a treat to you. Shooting the first two men was self defense, but the third was running away, and therefor cold blooded murder.
No that’s nonesense. You aren’t wrong about the law part but it isn’t cold blooded murder.
If you call that cold blooded murder then I’d be curious to hear what you’d have to say about Hitler getting shot in the back or something.
Yes it’s the law... slavery was also legally protected under law too once...
The law is broken. Period.
No it wasn’t cold blooded murder, the justice system is broken and extremely flawed. Just because something is legal doesn’t automatically make it right. The guy deserved it, he forfeited his right to live the second he attacked joker. He brought it to himself. Pathetic Neanderthal. It wasn’t murder, he deserved it.
They F’d around and found out. The end.
It was not just a dance, it’s a ritual whereby he embraced himself into who he is. As a person who struggled with a mental illness that is totally rejected by the society, those three men were final straws that broke the camel’s back. He did it on self-defence and justifiable because they physically assaulted him. When he isolated himself in the bathroom, he took his moment to perform the ritual and channeling his inner self. Although justifiable, he has completely transformed into a different person.

1:40 literally picks a buzzword that doesn't even relate. Lmao
Lmao she says that as she wears the ultimate representation of misogyny on her head.
Uh they aren’t being misogynistic Osama. No getting your a** kicked doesn’t call for being murdered.
You should have included Kazzy Reacts. Hers was the BEST reaction to this amazing movie
can't disagree. kazzy was definitely Team Arthur, but torn about the third guy.
Arthur just needed a hug 🫂 and a real friend, to talk the daily struggles and share a laugh🥲
