Never average, he's the epitome of Buffalo.....hard working, blue collar, great teammate, and even as a backup always got the job done when you needed him. He always embraced Buffalo too, and was a huge Fan favorite!
Should be a Bills Wall of Famer, along with Moorman and Kyle Williams as well. Probably Fitzy too from the drought era. Of course Moulds still would have to go on too before any of those dudes.
Couple things stuck out: 1) Eric Moulds was a monster 2) Gus Johnson needs to call all Bills games 3) Lee Evans and Terrance McGee had WHEELS 4) Even though those 16 years were TERRIBLE, there were some dang good exciting games Two highlights that are missing (unless I missed them) that need to be HIGH up on this list is Lee Evans against the Jets when we threw a hail mary and he went up against two Jets DB's and came down with it and walked into the end zone. And the second being the Drayton Florence pick 6 against the Pats to break the streak.
I remember the junk about Moulds ordering a Pizza during practice at SR Bowl. That's nothing compared to what some prospect have been accused of doing.
As a life long Bills fan, despite that this video is called “Top 50 Plays,” and I knew the outcome of every game, I was nervous on every field goal attempt.
I’ll be first to admit it here. The first time football made me cry was the Bills beating the patriots. I had no other emotion but relief. Every emotion came out that day.
The cool thing about the Bledsoe Era was that it wasn't The Drought yet- we were a good team & then [it felt like] we finally found Kelly's replacement at QB. Drew, Moulds & Price shredded defenses that 1st year
With Bledsoe, a Pro Bowl QB who took a team to the Super Bowl, we still looked like a team that could make the playoffs and almost did. When Bledsoe fizzled out and we made JP Losman our franchise QB, that's when the word and concept of "drought" started materializing. It just got worse from there.
I'm a life long bills fan and was a kid watching with my dad through a lot of these and I still remember screaming and cheering with Dad at the tv through most of these...I was in 3rd grade during the oldest of these clips
Great job of compiling all these plays. Before watching this, I wrote down all the big plays I could remember during this drought - everyone was on here expect for one... the Jason Peters blocked punt that was then returned for a td by Peters. I think that was a great play that could have been on here. Regardless, nice job and great upload!
Moulds has some really incredible catches especially one handed, what a beast. Not to mention mcgee and Parrish were unstoppable on returns, we were the best special teams for awhile
35:04 (#20) is my favorite. I LOVE how Jerry Hughes (#55) picks up the running back and throws him into FannyHill. They give Mario credit, but Jerry was AWESOME on that play.
Here's some of my thoughts and comments: 57:04 It's ironic that J.P. Losman threw an 83 yard touchdown to #83 Lee Evans not once but twice in the same game! At 58:12 you can see Kevin Everett among other players since his horrific injury didn't occur until the following year. Kenny Albert called the first game that was shown in this video while his dad Marv Albert called the last game that was shown. 59:29 Mike Hollis had a career full of crazy field goals that hit the goal posts! In fact, one of those kinds of field goals came in a playoff game against the Bills in 1996 when he was a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Unfortunately, he didn't last longer than a year in Buffalo. There weren't any highlights from the 2012 season, but honestly I don't remember any extra special plays from that year. It looks like 2002, 2004 and 2014 were the best years of the drought while 2005, 2006 and 2012 were the worst years of the drought. Here are some statistics related to the Bills playoff drought: RECORDS BY MONTH September: 26-31 .456 Win % October: 29-39 .426 Win % November: 25-40 .384 Win % December: 30-44 .405 Win % January: 2-6 .25 Win % OVERALL Home: 67-69 (65-64 at New Era Field) Away: 45-91 Total: 112-160 272 GAMES Overall, this is a great video to remind us Bills fans of the great memories we've had over the best couple decades!
great vid. can't believe I watched the whole thing. not very happy seeing the Vikes on here so many times that's for sure! if you do another compilation like this, I'd suggest trying to get the aspect ratio and volume levels to be more consistent throughout.
funkydunkleman glad you somewhat enjoyed the video but I do these for fun. Basically an idea pops up in my head and I try to put it together with what little time i have as quickly as possible. I don't do this for money or to try to get popular. I think of stuff i would love to see and if there's some people out there that like it then that's awesome, we would probably be good friends
man with some of of the players we had imagine having a qb like allen during this time plus you should do a video of most heartbreajing moments during the drought just so we can be more gtatefull for what we have
Man I love seeing Brian Moorman jumping around crazy after a big win or score he was our best player on the team in some of those dark years. Let's go Buffalo!
Great video Andy. The only two plays missing are TKO int for a TD against his former team and Peters blocked punt for a TD, both plays from the same game. (2004 week 15)
#2 for me is 2006 at Houston. The 2 Evans 83 yd TDs and last second Losman to Price GW TD. I thought we had our franchise QB that day. I never had that much hope in a QB after that throughout the drought. I had a favorable view of Trent Edwards at the start, possible long term answer but never thought he'd be an elite QB. I loved Fitz and will always stick up for Tyrod, but never thought either were long term answers. With Losman's arm strength and deep ball accuracy, I always assumed he would clean up other areas of his game and be lethal. Even in mid 2007 when he came in for an injured Edwards, I had this dream he would win the job back and take us to the playoffs. It started out great when he hit Lee Evans on a deep ball to beat the Jets. Then came back and beat Cincy with an impressive performance. Then it went very bad, like most of his career.
It still blows my mind that Stevie put together three straight 1,000 yard seasons. I mean, he was good there’s no doubt exceptional route runner. But he was really slow and definitely not a #1 receiver. But he’s the only one in team history to do it. Just awesome.
Reed and Lofton were pretty good in their few years together, and both HOF'ers. What's amazing about Moulds, is his longevity (alot like Reed) and that Moulds played with Andre Reed (Reeds last few years), Peerless Price, and Lee Evans through-out his time in Buffalo.....and all were great tandems and productive. Moulds was a monster and played on some bad teams after '99, and still embraced Buffalo (which was rare for stars during that tough era). Us fans embraced him right back, I wish he was in the Hall of Fame. Lets go Bills!
Just check out the stadium shots during the DROUGHT....and tell me that Buffalo doesn't show up for the BILLS at all times. I've been there for better and worse, and there has been some real depressing moments walking back to the parking lot after games.... but I wouldn't trade a thing. The team is finally headed in the right direction and it will mean even more to us die hard fans when we finally win the Super Bowl after all we've been through. BILLS MAFIA STAND UP!

Imagine if Sammy Watkins started his career under McDermott? Probably would still be a Bill and probably would already have Bills all time records. He would've had a good community and would've been held accountable so no drinking and fewer injuries.
Terrance McGee. One of the many Bills players to never get the true credit he deserved. Edit: 3 years later and I said the same thing to myself forgetting this post. The amount of players we had that never got the recognized they deserved is absolutely criminal.
All time favorite bills during the drought, 1. Scott Chandler, Tyrod Taylor, Eric Moulds, Marshawn Lynch and Terrance McGee. First domino that started the drought was firing Wade Phillips. Wow ownership sucked back then..
Seriously, Andy Provin is not a real person but a figment of our hopes and dreams. He knew the drought would end in 2017, it is really scary when you look remember the beginning of this season going into the Jets game with everyone saying the Bills will go 3-13
Wade Phillips and Doug Marone best coaches hands down during this period. If Doug Marone had TT instead of horrific E J there would be no more drought.
Wade Phillips isn't really a Drought Era coach. He made the playoffs 2 of his 3 seasons. When Wade and GM John Butler left that was the end of the 90s era Bills. GM Tom Donahoe and coach Gregg Williams was the official start of drought era, who were the first of many garbage GM's and coaches and who set the tone and low bar for drought era Bills.
Top 5 moments I have been alive to see easily stevie game winner vs carolina sammy game winner vs vikings finally beating new england the game against the packers and dans 58 yarder vs lions
Man, Fred Jackson. Such a great player
Samuel Lasky average but he's great for us
Never average, he's the epitome of Buffalo.....hard working, blue collar, great teammate, and even as a backup always got the job done when you needed him. He always embraced Buffalo too, and was a huge Fan favorite!
Samuel Lasky fantasy stud
He was the man.
Should be a Bills Wall of Famer, along with Moorman and Kyle Williams as well. Probably Fitzy too from the drought era. Of course Moulds still would have to go on too before any of those dudes.
Man, remember when Terrance McGee was the most feared returner in the league?
Pretty decent CB too. Him and Nate Clements were a pretty good duo. Lawyer Milloy and Troy Vincent made a great safety tandem
I don't remember but the speed is awesome
I always felt he was under the radar - he was a playmaker!
McGee was a good player.
I do
Couple things stuck out:
1) Eric Moulds was a monster
2) Gus Johnson needs to call all Bills games
3) Lee Evans and Terrance McGee had WHEELS
4) Even though those 16 years were TERRIBLE, there were some dang good exciting games
Two highlights that are missing (unless I missed them) that need to be HIGH up on this list is Lee Evans against the Jets when we threw a hail mary and he went up against two Jets DB's and came down with it and walked into the end zone. Moulds was indeed a monster.
I remember the junk about Moulds ordering a Pizza during practice at SR Bowl. That's nothing compared to what some prospect have been accused of doing.
Roscoe could fly too.
They didn't cover the Fred Jackson TD pass to Lee Evans either. That was a beautiful 45 yard spiral right in the numbers.
Had Eric Moulds been on a different team with a different quarterback he would have been in the HOF.
Still come back to this video every once and a while to relive the excitement we all had during the darkest times of our team.
Very little excitement. Mostly agonizing, tedious losses.
Completely agree with your #1. Coming back 21 points and beating the pats that day made this depressing drought almost worth it
I'm not even a bills fan but i live for videos like this.
Tenormic3 my man! who's your team?
Andy Provin I'm a broncos fan myself
Tenormic3 Bills/Broncos week 3! Should be a close game
Buf bills fan
Fred Jackson is the epitome of the Bills team. Thanks for the memories ))
As a life long Bills fan, despite that this video is called “Top 50 Plays,” and I knew the outcome of every game, I was nervous on every field goal attempt.
I'm shocked we had 50 good plays in the drought
@@scottnunn7461what’s crazy is we had some amazing defenses during the drought sometimes even 1st in the league yet it didn’t matter
I LOVE THIS COLLECTION OF HIGHLIGHTS
man - Eric Moulds was Good!!
Just think how good he would have been with better QB's. He had his 100 catch season with Bledsoe
RIP James Hardy :'(
33:20 With the game winner.
Terrance McGee!
was great when he wasn't injured!
Marcellus James I
I’ll be first to admit it here. The first time football made me cry was the Bills beating the patriots.
I had no other emotion but relief. Every emotion came out that day.
man i miss those red helmets
It was fun watching this and remembering where I was for some of these moments. I was also in the stadium for 5 or 6 of them.
Eric moulds sooo underrated in bills 2nd best behind reed
Bills lore*
He deserves the HOF imo
He was better. Remember the NFL records YAC all because of Moulds.
He was not underrated. Ever.
Moulds was a beast.
great highlights.Hope they make the playoffs this year.
They have it in the bag ez this year
they backed in,wasnt exactly easy, but they're still in
The cool thing about the Bledsoe Era was that it wasn't The Drought yet- we were a good team & then [it felt like] we finally found Kelly's replacement at QB. Drew, Moulds & Price shredded defenses that 1st year
machswift375 Yeah we all thought that but they still didnt make the playoffs with Bledsoe.
machswift375 Should've been in the playoffs in 2004. They started the season 0-4, and as I remember, every one of those games were lost by one score.
Yea and then the bills let Price go and Riemersma walk after that first season, 2 of drews favorite targets.. smh
My favorite play is when Lee Evans rips the ball out of the Jets defender's hands and runs it for a touchdown. Cant believe you left that one out!!
This honestly made me tear up a bit. I've been watching every game since 2003 when I was only 6 years old
I'm a life long bills fan and was a kid watching with my dad through a lot of these and I still remember screaming and cheering with Dad at the tv through most of these...I was in 3rd grade during the oldest of these clips

35:04 (#20) is my favorite. I LOVE how Jerry Hughes (#55) picks up the running back and throws him into FannyHill. They give Mario credit, but Jerry was AWESOME on that play.

Man we did have our moments!. Let's go Buffalo!

@@nasondeaux441 thx for commenting on this amazing vid and go bills
Damn that's impressive
I was at that Redskins game in the first clip; loudest I've ever heard that stadium. Plus a massive wave too, it was amazing
totally agree, i was there too. The only time i can remember it louder was the 2015 opener vs Indy
really fun to watch, great reel, thanks for putting it together
My goodness! Those hits on Brady and Favre!! Yes yes!!
Fred Jackson though. One of the best Bills ever.
This is the best video on UA-cam !!!!!
Good stuff, thanks for posting
great vid. can't believe I watched the whole thing. not very happy seeing the Vikes on here so many times that's for sure!
if you do another compilation like this, I'd suggest trying to get the aspect ratio and volume levels to be more consistent throughout.

52:23 Amazing moment. I was sitting right by the end zone. I'll never forget that, the stadium was insane!
I remember that Lynch run against the Bengals. It was a great run. Shades of Beast Mode.
man with some of of the players we had imagine having a qb like allen during this time plus you should do a video of most heartbreajing moments during the drought just so we can be more gtatefull for what we have
Hey great video man! enjoyed watching it! GO BILLS!
Drought no more!
Man I love seeing Brian Moorman jumping around crazy after a big win or score he was our best player on the team in some of those dark years. Let's go Buffalo!
that roscoe parish punt return gave me goosebumps
You missed the play with Goodwin burning Revis last year.
Karo French it didn't make the cut
Whoever this is knows there players Goodwin is making a show in San Fran
WHAAAAAATT no way! This is amazing
Great Video Friend
Thank you!

No football gods, I'm not jinxing it
Great video, Provin!
I watched all these through the drought and still was nervous on field goals on this video real bills fan here miss chandler and Kyle Williams
Great video Andy.
The only two plays missing are TKO int for a TD against his former team and Peters blocked punt for a TD, both plays from the same game. (2004 week 15)
So amazing to watch this and not worry about a drought.
Thanks for uploading
Why in the hell was I on the edge of my seat for some of these clips😭
Bless the UA-cam algorithm for this

It's surreal seeing Fitzmagic in a Bills uniform. I remember them days. His game was Jekyll and Hyde even back then lol.

what a treasure vault. Man we're we a deadly run squad with Lynch and Freddie.
At one time we had Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson, and CJ Spiller. Talk about a 3 headed monster at RB
Honorable mention, the fake fg vs Seattle for a td when the receiver hid by the sidelines. opening weekend 06 or 07 i think.
I remember Joe Gibbs doing that, I couldn't believe he didn't know that rule.

First domino that started the drought was firing Wade Phillips. Wow ownership sucked back then..
How did you know that last year was the last year of the drought?!?!?!?!? Illuminati confirmed!
If I had to choose moulds or that obj joke in their prime I take moulds all day!!
Top 5 moments I have been alive to see easily stevie game winner vs carolina sammy game winner vs vikings finally beating new england the game against the packers and dans 58 yarder vs lions

(This is coming from a bills fan so I’m not dissing)
Aaron Schobel was such a beast
Lol at the very first play. Every Bills fan badly wanted that particular sack
