Season 2: (Leader, Charismatic, Thoughtful, Reasoning) Becoming a true leader with persuasion and a non-violent approach as he tries to work with Hershel and his family on his farm. Rick starts to develop a minor violent approach, as well as a ideology to do whatever it takes to keep his group safe. Moreover, he is forced to kill two men in a bar and his best friend Shane, hence the violence. Season 3: (Destabilized, Partially Violent, Reasoning) Leading his group to become well stabilized and well structured in the prison whilst coping with the loss of his wife (thank god, she was the worst) and handling attack attempts form the sadistic Philip. Rick is also starting to develop a more violent, but tactical, approach as seen when he fist attacked Woodbury. Season 4: (Destabilized, Violent, Caring, Badass) Keeping his group stabilized in what seems to be an impenetrable fortress and has developed it to be moderately civil with agriculture and posts. He also has to deal with the psychopathic Philip once more when he destroys his prison and costed him hope of securing a stable environment around him for a change. Moreover, Rick loses Hershel, who has been the father of the group, which devastates all. Rick begins to feel in dismantle due to his positively successful group and environment dissolve in front of him as they lose each other for a great while. We see how Rick truly cares for his son as he bites the rapist and murderer Joe's jugular. ( The most badass moment in the show imo) Season 5: (Stabilized, Rutheless, Violent, Caring, Rickinator, Badass) We begin to see Rick become ruthless with how he runs his group and truly shows how he no longer has fear of rivaling groups. This is demonstrated when he kills the cannibals without remorse and promises to kill Gareth with guards around him killing his friends and eating them. Rick also develops his relationship back with Carol when she helps to kill the cannibals and save the day. ( Most badass Carol moment, next to when she kills the bikers) Season 6: (Reasoning, Violent, Thoughtful, Charismatic, No Empathy, Badass) Rick develops a reasoning methodology of leadership as seen back in seasons 1, 2, and, 3 due to Darryl. Daryl and Rick have the best relationship in the show, they are true brothers and balance each other out. Their relationship has toughened Rick up, kept him in control and helped him to do what is necessary. Everyone needs a friend, even in the zombie apocalypse and Daryl is Rick’s and their friendship has made him a stronger person and kept him from going full Ricktator again as seen in season 5. Season 7: (Powerless, Fearful, Revengeful, Caring, Destabilized, Violent) You meet a man who’s powerless, terrified for his own life and his son’s family’s life, and everybody else beside him as Negan is strutting around with Lucille. Rick, for the first time in his pre-and-post-apocalyptic life, is powerless. He is reevaluating everything he thought to be true in this world. He is terrified for his life, and the lives of his children, and the group. He now knows he is outnumbered and he has lost, regardless. The world is a much bigger, scarier place than he ever imagined. Throughout the series Rick has gone from diplomatic leader, to “Rickinator,” to pacifist, to hardline powerhouse to fearful and scared.
This transformation is great. At first I thought that it was just his look. But you can see that he's changing also mentally first he was helpful emotional and clueless. Now he's a mad man cold hearted and still emotional. He protects his people sometimes having to live with the losses of others. He's kinda turning into Negan. Negan wouldn't killed Glenn and Abe if Rick's group didn't fuck with the Saviours and killing lots of Negans. This video is great
if you think about it Rick and Negan are actually kind of similar, the difference between they is that Rick actually want, ask and think about the others opinion (you know, his group) and Negan don't he just think about his opinion and been in charge. The difference between a leader and a boss, the difference between Rick and Negan.
Negan's group messes with everybody. They would eventually find Alexandria and take the place even if Alexandria hadn't launched an attack on their outpost. Negan is getting into the audience's heads and justify everything he does. He may have greater purpose like rebuilding the society with hierarchical system and he's not a crazed killer like the Governor, but he kills with a wide grin on his face and when he said he's not providing protection for his subjects, he's depriving them of what they originally had and terrorise people. He's an amazing villain considering how many people are willing to justify his cruel rule over the communities just because Rick and his people didn't want to sit back and wait.
he would've killed someone. Thing is Alexandria is relatively close to Sanctuary and it would've been found out someme, since Jesus and Hilltop basically know where it is it was a matter of time. Then Negan shows up and kills someone ANYWAY since it's his go-to card when meeting a group.
when Negan asked if he understood that Rick belonged to him, and Rick nodded, I was so heartbroken and just so shocked to see him like that. lol the whole time I was yelling "But you're Rick Grimes!!!??" haha I'm a bit behind on twd and idk if I'll ever go back to it, but Rick's character development is so interesting, and I love it.
The music that was used in the background of this is perfect. A great song that the beat and tempo increases more and more and it fits well with his character progression. Starting off slow, just like he was, unsure of what was going on or what to do. But slowly increases as he learns and experiences more and more, doing whatever it takes to live. Its beautiful
No matter what anyone says or thinks about Rick Grimes, by comparison to every other character, he really is, technically, the better human being, despite all that he’s had to do to survive; The point I’m driving home is that Rick Grimes is quite possibly the most selfless character in The Walking Dead; Nearly everything he does is for the sake of everyone else and for the quality of life of everyone close to him and everyone that’s on the same side as he is. Rick may be a brutal, imperfect survivor at this point, but, in the end, he acts selflessly - in fact, compared to every other antagonist, he even has the most humanity. The world they live in in The Walking Dead needs people like Rick Grimes so that the entire world may continue to survive and still be ruled be good, decent, and righteous people.
Great fucking comment. Iam so sad they took him out at season 9. I hope they will put him back where he belongs. Rick Grimes is the best twd Character no matter what others say.
Ricks evolution season 1: "We have to do everything we can to stay civil" season 2: " We need to do what we can to survive even if we have to do the ugly" season 3: " I just lost my wife and killed my best friend so I am feeling kinda crazy right now. YOU CAUSE ME TROUBLE AND I RIP YOUR FUCKING THROAT OUT! season 5: I dont take chances anymore. I will kill anyone for no reason. If I find a community I will kill them and take over cuz why not. Fuck life. Your either my group or dead. season 6: At this point your life just depends if I am in a good mood. If not your dead. If so your welcome in our community. season 7: WAHHHHHAAAAAAAA. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. GGGGGGGGGLLLLLLLLEEEEEENNNNNN. FUCK YOU NEGAN YOU KILLED MY BUDDY. season 8: HAHA NEGAN YOUR FUCKED NOW. The saviors are done. its my way or the highway...... WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH. CCCCCCCCCCCOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRLLLLLL. season 9: Man I have been FUCKING CRAZY at times, yet now i am feeling chill. I am just gonna sit done , plant tamotos, hangout with the family 2.0, hell I might even build a bridge cuz why not. The other 60% of season 9: What the hell happened. season 10: Rick- where am I? I am the goddam main character. Andrew Lincoln- Shut up man I was tired as hell. Dont worry though, I am gonna get a few movies so calm down.
I just love the parrallels between Rick and Shane. In the beginning you can see Rick has a lot of patience for the group while Shane's patience is already running out. Shane was a few years a head of Rick when it comes to doing what it takes to keep people alive. I love how Rick slowly starts becoming more and more like Shan as the series goes on. Only difference is Rick has his family/friends to pull him back in.
My favorite rick moment was when he killed that man in the hilltop after he stabbed Gregory, he was so used to death by that point and protecting himself and his own (not Gregory but his group) that he just looked at those people of hilltop and said "What?"
Infinitex with the beautiful work as always. This is by far your best video and very well edited. I've seen all of your transformation videos and this one just takes the cake. Keep up the awesome work!
I've been binge-watching the shit out of TWD and although I know Rick is someone you dont fuck with...I guess I forgot just how much of a bad muthafucka this guy really is. People tend to like Daryl more, he's a solid #2. But Rick Grimes man...damn
Rick developed into a walker smashin’ savage. I stg we all love these character developments like how they went from terrified of walkers to terrified of humans and became savages
Shane would have never even thought of giving the Alexandrians a chance. He would have just took over. Rick his colder now, but he's still Rick - not shane. Rick still gives a damn about the people around him and not just himself and what he wants.
Shane wanted to steal his wife though and was highly motivated by that. so Shane may have been right about some stuff and adjusted to the world faster but nonetheless he was pretty psycho for not even wanting to give Rick a chance to learn. for wanting to just murder him, his "best friend" and partner just to steal his family. with the hollow excuse that "he can't protect them" or some shit. so it's not that "Rick is Shane now" people always say that but nah. samhane was right about most of the arguments they bad but he was hot-headed, not tactical enough, and was pretty much psycho about Lori and stuff
Mister March no, just no, stop making shane the bad guy all the time, he was an emotional hothead but not a bad guy., Rick did become shane and still is sometimes, he said the same things shane did, then je became the governor in season 5, with the dark eye shadowing in multiple scenes, merle told rick that the governor killed people and said never waste a bullet, well, rick said the same thing when he kiled gareth, look at the scene when rick stares down pete in the dark with his right eye completly dark, i wouldnt be surprised if he becomes like negan now, he kinda absorbs some of their souls
Cjischill Shane only shot Otis after he refused to leave Shane behind Shane was going to give himself up so Otis could make it out to make it to Carl Otis said no Shane then killed him because he knew only one of them had a chance to make it out
"Maybe not today, Maybe not tomorrow, but NOTHING, is gonna change that nothing......your all already dead" Beautiful. Just beautiful. This showed off rick so perfectly in his changes throughout the seasons. From a young cop trying to do the right thing, to a man killing anyone who got in his way, to someone broken from loss, to a man finally ready to lead and fight against his oppressors. The music choice was really good too, I loved the instrumentals, I'm very much a fan of piano pieces being used in "evolution of" style videos. Amazing video, I loved it so much!! :)
This is the greatest edit I’ve ever seen. I honestly forgot just how many people he kills throughout the show. And how many die because of his actions. Truly a 12/10 character is what Rick Grimes is.
So many of these edits ignore the women... especially Michonne who was the key to Rick's strength and his comeback and willingness to fight. This one didn't, thus it is a truer representation of Rick's actually transformation. Great job.
God you’re one of them people who finds everything sexist it’s a tv show and a UA-cam video show a male characters transformation and you’re saying Michonne should be in the video
It's amazing how far they all come at first they didn't know each other and had serious trust issues but now there all like one big family who will do anything to protect and keep each other alive a little longer.
This is definitely one of the most badass story evolutions ever but I hope they have Rick deciding to keep Negan alive like his comic counterpart to show that his group is better than the Saviors. Than you can really see some great development as Negan and Rick become close during the whole Whisperers showdown which Kirkman said they will be doing.
He missed a few important parts like Shane’s death for example. Still near perfect work! But it’s on just the one character which makes it even better!
The part 6:20 was hilarious, Look at ricks face when he gets pushed down😂Then jesus says hi, the rick pulls out his gun like, (did this nigga just do that?)
Absolutely amazing video! Music graduation as his character is going farther and farther is stunning. Perfect selection of moments throught all series. Thank You!!!
Rick is the one with the longest and most radical character developement of them all, yet people hear Negan say a few jokes and already claim he's a more interesting character lol give me a break

Leading his group to become well stabilized and well structured in the prison whilst coping with the loss of his wife (thank god, she was the worst) and handling attack attempts form the sadistic Philip. Rick is also starting to develop a more violent, but tactical, approach as seen when he fist attacked Woodbury.
Season 4: (Destabilized, Violent, Caring, Badass)
Keeping his group stabilized in what seems to be an impenetrable fortress and has developed it to be moderately civil with agriculture and posts. ( The most badass moment in the show imo)
Season 5: (Stabilized, Rutheless, Violent, Caring, Rickinator, Badass)
We begin to see Rick become ruthless with how he runs his group and truly shows how he no longer has fear of rivaling groups. This is demonstrated when he kills the cannibals without remorse and promises to kill Gareth with guards around him killing his friends and eating them. Rick also develops his relationship back with Carol when she helps to kill the cannibals and save the day. ( Most badass Carol moment, next to when she kills the bikers)
Season 6: (Reasoning, Violent, Thoughtful, Charismatic, No Empathy, Badass)
Rick develops a reasoning methodology of leadership as seen back in seasons 1, 2, and, 3 due to Darryl.
Season 7: (Powerless, Fearful, Revengeful, Caring, Destabilized, Violent)
You meet a man who’s powerless, terrified for his own life and his son’s family’s life, and everybody else beside him as Negan is strutting around with Lucille.
Cas Harren inaccurate for season 7. It started out with him powerless and scared, but by the end he's fighting back and has no fear of Negan
Cas Harren good breakdown
I like'd martinez
I actually liked Shane. He adjusted to the apocalypse way faster than anyone else. If you think about it, him an Rick are a lot alike now.
But he lacks brain, hence the big difference he cares only about himself
This transformation is great. At first I thought that it was just his look. But you can see that he's changing also mentally first he was helpful emotional and clueless. Now he's a mad man cold hearted and still emotional. He protects his people sometimes having to live with the losses of others. He's kinda turning into Negan. Negan wouldn't killed Glenn and Abe if Rick's group didn't fuck with the Saviours and killing lots of Negans. This video is great
Thank you!
if you think about it Rick and Negan are actually kind of similar, the difference between they is that Rick actually want, ask and think about the others opinion (you know, his group) and Negan don't he just think about his opinion and been in charge.
He's an amazing villain considering how many people are willing to justify his cruel rule over the communities just because Rick and his people didn't want to sit back and wait.
negan first impression is killing 1 person when they meet community group
he would've killed someone. Thing is Alexandria is relatively close to Sanctuary and it would've been found out someme, since Jesus and Hilltop basically know where it is it was a matter of time. Then Negan shows up and kills someone ANYWAY since it's his go-to card when meeting a group.
HOW AMAZING WAS THIS?!!
rick grimes is a legend
4:15 jesus christ... Officer friendly been gone for a long time
Season 5 rick was fuckin ruthless and I loved it
I love how the 28 days later theme has basically become the quintessential zombie background music.
Just realised... No wonder the guy who shot Carl didn't seem him. Carl was wearing a camo top! 😂
Exactly because the brown coat is the tree bark and the soldier shirt is the tree leaves.
I've seen every walking dead episode ever and looking back on moments like this gives me the chills
AMAZING AS ALWAYS!! I can't wait for season 8!
Seth Spartan Oh wait- one of the most terrible things happen. I’d suggest you stop watching the show now before that one death ruins it all :/.
Hello I'm from the future season 8 has been came out.
Carl is dead in season 8
Can't wait to seanson 9
when Negan asked if he understood that Rick belonged to him, and Rick nodded, I was so heartbroken and just so shocked to see him like that. lol the whole time I was yelling "But you're Rick Grimes!!!??" haha I'm a bit behind on twd and idk if I'll ever go back to it, but Rick's character development is so interesting, and I love it.
I love how this transformation was built up from Season 1 to now! Now that is great character development!
You know. Watching a man slowly transform into something he said he wasnt going to be is quite freightening. A beautiful performance by the actor.
Lol I love that you can tell Andrew's accent gets a little more natural sounding by the season
1:11 " The Day will come when you won't be"
*Negan Lines the group up*
Rick YOU DONE FUCKED UP lmao
No matter what anyone says or thinks about Rick Grimes, by comparison to every other character, he really is, technically, the better human being, despite all that he’s had to do to survive;
The point I’m driving home is that Rick Grimes is quite possibly the most selfless character in The Walking Dead;
Nearly everything he does is for the sake of everyone else and for the quality of life of everyone close to him and everyone that’s on the same side as he is.
I watch this every day
Before going to a job
Rick season 1: simple police offiser
Rick season 5: SIGMA
The best transformation video of any character Iv ever seen this is a true master piece like if you agree
28 days later music was a nice touch. Best zombie music ever.
Ricks evolution
season 1: "We have to do everything we can to stay civil"
season 2: " We need to do what we can to survive even if we have to do the ugly"
season 3: " I just lost my wife and killed my best friend so I am feeling kinda crazy right now. DONT FUCK WITH ME!"
season 4: " I lost my way, but I need to stay civil. Life is about building a community. AND FARMING"
The second half of season 4: " FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK I FUCKING LOST EVERYTHING.
Perfect example 👌
Creative
the most npc shit i’ve ever seen in my entire life
@@8johh wait until you play a video game.
The 28 days later theme goes with anything Zombie related, love it.
DAMN! Thats a epic transformation!
And the video is nice too!
I've seen a lot of these types of videos about Rick but holy shit this one is better than any of the others! Grade fucking A job!
“The day will come when you won’t be”
My favorite rick moment was when he killed that man in the hilltop after he stabbed Gregory, he was so used to death by that point and protecting himself and his own (not Gregory but his group) that he just looked at those people of hilltop and said "What?"
Season 1 rick: Normal guy
Season 5 rick: Psycopath
Season 8 rick: Badass
Season 9 rick: Hero
Infinitex with the beautiful work as always. This is by far your best video and very well edited. I've seen all of your transformation videos and this one just takes the cake. Keep up the awesome work!
Thank you so much!
That was possibly one of the most epic videos I've ever watched
I've been binge-watching the shit out of TWD and although I know Rick is someone you dont fuck with...I guess I forgot just how much of a bad muthafucka this guy really is. People tend to like Daryl more, he's a solid #2. But Rick Grimes man...damn
Best character Television has ever seen in years, Rick is a True Badass. I truly Believe he’s Unkillable.
that cocky middle finger Negan throws as he's fleeing had me dying XD
He was never the same after Lori died. And Hershel wasn't around long enough to help guide him through that mourning process.
You can hear Andrew's English accent get better throughout seasons
Rick developed into a walker smashin’ savage. I stg we all love these character developments like how they went from terrified of walkers to terrified of humans and became savages
Rick slowly knows that shane was right... He was always right.
Cjischill Shane only shot Otis after he refused to leave Shane behind Shane was going to give himself up so Otis could make it out to make it to Carl Otis said no Shane then killed him because he knew only one of them had a chance to make it out
Cjischill go back and re watch the scene if you don’t believe me
4:24 Ive never heard rick cuss like that lmao
"Maybe not today, Maybe not tomorrow, but NOTHING, is gonna change that nothing......your all already dead"
Beautiful. :)
Thank you so much!! I appreciate it a lot!
The Warleader Productions bfnfmmfmfmfmfmfk
You can see Rick getting colder and tougher through the seasons
Awsome job on the video i like the theme from 28 days later added to it keep up the good job
Thanks man!
Great job.
Thank you!!
Feminist
God you’re one of them people who finds everything sexist it’s a tv show and a UA-cam video show a male characters transformation and you’re saying Michonne should be in the video
@@moelester3238 God, you're idiotic for misinterpreting his comment entirely.
One thing I really liked about the walking dead was the evolution of the “civilized” mind turned savage
“We don’t kill the living” kills 600 other people
It's amazing how far they all come at first they didn't know each other and had serious trust issues but now there all like one big family who will do anything to protect and keep each other alive a little longer.
Very well put together. If I was not a fan and saw this for the first time, I would binge watch immediately. Good job.
really well edited. really impressive
That was like the biggest and best trailer for Walking Dead that I have seen.
Hahaha😂😂
Absolutely amazing video! Music graduation as his character is going farther and farther is stunning. Perfect selection of moments throught all series. Thank You!!!
Thank YOU for watching!!
The best character in a tv show!!!Andrew Lincoln should be winning the Emmys every year!!!
This Video is so so goooood! The Metro Exodus Soundtrack in the Background is a perfect choice! Rick is the most badass dude ever!
#1 FAN ! soooo good pudding !!
Man that s so COOL video man...THAT music...that scenes...I love this video !
Anyone els want to watch all seasons of twd or just me
This was probably the best video I've seen in a really long time! Hats off
Thank you!
Amazing! I love this!
I overall love all your walking dead videos! The way its structured and how it hits the fans i love it! Keep it coming !!!
Thank you!
He had the biggest beard in season 5
This video made me remember and realise just how great this show is.
Carl in Season 1 Episode 3: DAD!! DADDD!!! :O
Carl in Season 8 Episode 9:
Dad, I love you.... :(
Music is so intense, like rick has been through so much and he's still barely coping.
"I had a friend, I don't talk about him"
There are no words to describe how much I love the character of rick grimes and his evolution
Rick is the one with the longest and most radical character developement of them all, yet people hear Negan say a few jokes and already claim he's a more interesting character lol give me a break
There were actually a lot of 'savage Rick' moments in season one that I didnt see until I rewatched it again recently
the story of rick grimes didnt start off well got shot and yet lived and now ricks last chapter now he is dying realy slow
he lost wife son and a lot of friends they all died i cant wait to wacth ricks last chapter
I know it's so sad
After the throat bite in season 4 was when Rick truly transformed. Never looked at him the same after that.
Que the 28 days later theme music ... and action. "I am Rick Grimes bitches.
Good video compilation.
Pure art, thanks for making this
Loved the sequence of events Rick went through, really makes me appreciate all that they gave to adapt it from the the comics
Watching this let's me really question how Rick and Carl still want to keep Negan alive.
Why is Andrew such an underrated actor? He deserves an Emmy award for his acting skills.
Infinitex: WATCH IN HD!
UA-cam: Best I can do is 720p.
