Love the build! This is the 2nd one ive built of yours and both have been epic to use appre appreciate the vids, made each of the two out of metal just due to being a single dad who doesn't always have time every day to jump on to restart decay timer. I was able to change a minor thing when it came to the very last section of the roof running long wise where the flyer access "garages" are. At the sections you put two double door frames next to each other stacked 2 high in the middle of the 3 separate ceilings running width wise (for visual reference time stamp in your video 1:01:43 - 1:01:49), I added the sloped wall right and left to the tops of the double door frames which gave support to the roof sections in the middle running long wise. allowing one to connect the attics on each side of large Dino door bays without having to run the sloped roof pieces the entire way through cutting the two off and creating a barrier. This gave me an extra 3 sections (4×2) to store stuff related to the flyer tames accessing those "garages" or extra sleeping areas or whateverthe imagination uses it for instead of it being used by overlapping sloped roof pieces. Just dropping in to let you know something I noticed while building my foundation. While placing the ceilings, I lost foundation support for a strip 3 wide down the center of the build. I play Win10 version on a nitrado server. So this could be an issue on Xbox as well. The way I fixed it, was by adding a line of a single foundation snapped to the front that went down the center of the build all the way to the back. This might not work on official servers however without some tinkering, as my server has clipping enabled, so I just placed them right through the ones that were already in place. I'm unsure what could have caused this, as I had all the foundations and pillars placed as in the video.
I ended up with the same issue. My way of fixing it was to demolish the original 18x6 base foundation and fill in the empty space snapping the foundations to the outside foundations. The end effect was the small gap in-between the foundations all became filled in and there was just one giant solid foundation underneath. After that the rest of the ceilings feel right into place.
I have just Finished the structures list and it is around 300 foundations :) My largest build is around 2250 Foundations, the Dino Factory. The ceiling part, i had the same problem (single player offline). But i managed to get it done. At the part where you can't build any ceilings no more, place a stone fence foundation at the edge of the last ceiling. Amazing build in fact building it right now but I have a problem, the wooden ceiling floor all have foundation support but for some reason right in the middle they don’t do you know any way to fix that?
No support down the middle of the base? I am not to sure everything was supported but Ark can be funny :) Try attaching some walls from the foundations to the ceilings above some times it just needs to be connected
Hi Pilgrims Project, I wanted to share some findings I have learned about building past the limitations of the ocean platform. Do note that I was using creative mode and no clip to figure these things out. We all know that we cant normally build outside the boundaries of an ocean platform. The ocean platform can't, however, override the rights to build in the surrounding area if a structure is pre-present before placement. Furthermore, once the pre-placed structure is connected to the ocean platform all of the structures within a set range do become overwritten as structures placed as part of the ocean platform and can not have any more built on them. I so far have learned that the range down-under seems to be about 30 to 36 blocks depending on the place you build at. the interesting news is that this limited area does allow you to separate the ocean floor foundations from the build and still have it hold integrity. So if you build a 22x22 foundation floor under where the ocean platform will go and build a structure no lower than about 30 blocks under the water surface, you can then connect that structure to an ocean platform to then disconnect the structure from the foundations and it should float. I don't yet know if you can pass that limit yet or what the limit of the structures to the sides of the structure is. I hope this info can help since you are a master builder in ARK, I look forward to seeing your next ARK mansion/castle.
Hey nahtan just read your message sorry for the late reply. That is really interesting I was wondering if the depth of the ground below the platform would make a difference but didn't think of building up towards the platform, I will defiantly have a go at this idea. Just need to experiment some times :) I have just started a new platform base using vacuum compartments as a wall for the water pen and built it over a shallow shelf below the water that is only about 10 to 12 walls deep. I have built the compartments around the rocks and built a base inside them below the water
I have a few tree houses on the channel but I could try something a bit smaller and made from mostly wood. That would be easier to gather the materials and just have a smaller base on the platform. I will defiantly have a think about that :)
fixed the issue by attaching a wall connecting the foundation under the area to the ceiling that you cant build passed, i guess the wall will serve as a support beam lol.
I find this video highly confusing. You seem to skip a few steps here and there, leaving me to figure out most of the foundation build my self. Atm I am no longer than the corner pillar build, and m very lost as how to build it like in the video. I might just be stupid, but for me, there are missing some steps.
@@ThePilgrimzProject I found out that the vid is built kinda backwards, what with the finished part shown first, not last, as I am used to it being. But generally having issues with the tutorial, but fighting through it. I REALLY wanna build this longhouse.
The more I look at this vid, the more confused I get. You should show how to build, then what result is, not as you do it... I am adament to do this built tho, but it takes the twice as long as it could have.
The building looks great but there is way to much free space which makes the inside look bad! If this was a tutorial you missed the mark. You sped through important parts. Like the fence foundation part in the beginning
Yeah I did underestimate the overall width of the base when I built the rounded corners I admit, but I thought it worked out well for the roof design and flyer storage I try to map things out on the still pics it's a little hard to judge how much info people want. Glad you liked the build though and thanks for the feedback :)
Sorry about that, I thought the pics would make it easier to see what I was doing but I did not always have a good shot of the build. My new editor can take hd pics right from the video, so I should do a better job of showing each step of the build from now on

Hi Pilgrims Project, I wanted to share some findings I have learned about building past the limitations of the ocean platform. Do note that I was using creative mode and no clip to figure these things out.
We all know that we cant normally build outside the boundaries of an ocean platform.

I have a few tree houses on the channel but I could try something a bit smaller and made from mostly wood. That would be easier to gather the materials and just have a smaller base on the platform.
I will defiantly have a think about that :)
@@ThePilgrimzProject thnx 👍 i want to build a treehouse myself but yours are to expensive and little to difficult. 🤣
after seeing this video: "I need to use more catwalks"
cant place ceiling down the middle because foundation support is required.
fixed the issue by attaching a wall connecting the foundation under the area to the ceiling that you cant build passed, i guess the wall will serve as a support beam lol.
How big is this build?
I want to build this on another server but I can't calculate how big this is
I would say about 24 foundations long and about 12 wide for the base
Is there a mats list?
working on it atm :)
@@ThePilgrimzProject ty
Where can I find materials list
Pinned in the comments should be the top comment below the video
@@ThePilgrimzProject thx dude
Que pasada de mansión vikinga madre mía como me gustaría tenerla en mi server
I find this video highly confusing. You seem to skip a few steps here and there, leaving me to figure out most of the foundation build my self. Atm I am no longer than the corner pillar build, and m very lost as how to build it like in the video. I might just be stupid, but for me, there are missing some steps.
Hey Just saw your messages, where are you stuck?
@@ThePilgrimzProject I found out that the vid is built kinda backwards, what with the finished part shown first, not last, as I am used to it being. But generally having issues with the tutorial, but fighting through it. I REALLY wanna build this longhouse.
The more I look at this vid, the more confused I get. You should show how to build, then what result is, not as you do it... I am adament to do this built tho, but it takes the twice as long as it could have.
Hey where are you getting stuck I can try and help :)
The building looks great but there is way to much free space which makes the inside look bad! If this was a tutorial you missed the mark. You sped through important parts. Like the fence foundation part in the beginning
Yeah I did underestimate the overall width of the base when I built the rounded corners I admit, but I thought it worked out well for the roof design and flyer storage
I try to map things out on the still pics it's a little hard to judge how much info people want.
Glad you liked the build though and thanks for the feedback :)
Skyrim house love it
Great build terrible tutorial skips thing left and right and not too easy to follow
Sorry about that, I thought the pics would make it easier to see what I was doing but I did not always have a good shot of the build.
My new editor can take hd pics right from the video, so I should do a better job of showing each step of the build from now on
