Omg I just realized I never left a comment here. Well, this is the best milk tea recipe I’ve ever tried! I’ve used so many recipes that used fresh milk, condensed milk, evaporated milk, etc and they never tasted like the ones you get from boba shops. This one tastes pretty identical!! Highly recommend this recipe! It tastes so good.
Hi Angel` I have tried countless of milk tea recipes in the past, and I must say, yours is the best I have encountered so far. Thank you so much for the video! I love milk tea
Well the purpose of the creamer component is to add richness and thicken the liquid, non dairy creamer is constantly used in the market because it is affordable and practical, other forms like fresh milk, condensed milk or half and half can be costly not to mention a lot of people especially east and southeast asians are lactose intolerant and they may get an upset stomach if they drink a full cup of bubble tea with these forms of creamer element
Omg I made this today and it is REALLY GOOD! taste just like how they make it at Chinese restaurants. But now I know exactly what's in it and can make it right at home for fraction of the cost! Thanks sooo much!
@Nguyen Bui - yes, you can use Oolong tea instead. The flavor will be different though compared to the one in this recipe, so just make sure to pick an Oolong tea that you like. : )
Thank you Angel Wong. I tried making boba tea for the 1st time yesterday, following the steps on your video and it came out amazing! As for right now I woke up to make me some again and it tasted even better! So thanks so very much!!!
Hi Angel! Thank you so very much for this video! I had trouble figuring out from which country bubble tea originated. . . till I found your recipe! Thank you so much for the detailed video and explanations! Your video skills are so great!
So happy... Im late to the game, but I became immediately obsessed w/ bubble tea. People around office were surprised to find I was making my own boba pearls this weekend!! "who would do THAT?..." they remarked! Im actually keeping a journal of recipes so I can track experimentation. I am so happy to find an authentic, OG recipe :D Thank you :)
I got my first taste of milk tea in taichung taiwan 🇹🇼, from then, i got hooked, long before the milk tea craze here in the Philippines, i miss the taiwan authentic milk tea taste that i got used and loved.
Hi Angel, I lived in Taichung for 4 years. I mist have went to Chun Sui Tang at least twice a week. The food was also amazing there! I miss Bubble milk tea. I'll give this recipe a try, thanks!
Now I remember why I wish I never left Thailand, and don't think it was the Buba tea, Great video, thanks so much, now to go back in time and enjoy it again.
I lived in Taiwan for an year as an exchange student and O enjoyed 珍珠奶茶 so much I wish my home country had it as well but unfortunately not ahah thank you for the video
Lowkey Jane use 180 mL hot tea and 50 cc condensed sweet milk. mix the condensed milk into the tea to dissolve it first, creating a fast, swirling motion with the spoon to creat the bubbles (this is a very important step) add it to the shaker with ice and shake up and away from your face for only a few seconds (if you shake too long, the tea will become watery and will not taste good) if you want to make more tea, use the measurements of 250 mL tea and 60 cc condensed milk, or 350 mL tea and 60 cc condensed milk. hope this helps anyone who’s trying to make tea with condensed milk :)
IF I want a chocolate one or some other flavor, do I add the powdered flavor instead of the creamer or in addition to the creamer? Or is it better to use chocolate chips instead of the tapioca pearls?
Hi Angel, can you please show us how to make honey green tea? I tried adding honey to green tea at home but it tastes nothing like the one they sell in the boba tea shops.
Can you do a video making Coco bubble tea (as in the brand), as long as there aren't any copy right issues. Or, call it something else, using the deliciousness of Coco. :). Many thank yous.
I am so glad I found your videos. I appreciate the amount of time you put into your professional videos. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber Angel from The Bay
I want to try this recipe so much but does it need to be cane sugar or can I just use normal white sugar. Plus do you need a martini saker or could you use something else
Taiwanese bubble drink is soooo popular in Indonesia, and now I'm living in Netherlands, they don't sell it here :( so I want to try make it by myself, and so glad that this recipe is authentic taiwanese, thanks angel
You have like a family resemblance to the handsome Christian actor from Princess Weiyoung and Autumn's Concerto. I can't remember his name because we call him Prince Naan Bread because of his name in Princess Weiyoung. But it's a compliment! Thank you for the lovely video!
Hi angel wong I tried this recipe and it so good but I substitute green tea thanks for the recipe and I panned that I'm gonna make this at my Lil bro 7th months
There's boba place back where I lived in Illinois and another here in Arizona that have a milk tea that is virtually identical tasting (and delicious). I've tried to recreate it myself, and I'm pretty sure they both use cassia seed tea. Does the ratio of tea/sugar/creamer work with that version too?
What the sago tapioca? Where to get it? I understand that it takes a long time to cook and it has to be used very soon after making it to avoid it becoming tough
5:11 when I heard "One for me and one for you." I got so happy lmao

I love the video presentation. Somehow reminds me of the pre-flight orientations by flight attendants. Your voice is calming.
Haha you're so right it does remind me of those pre flight presentations. And it is very calming
Yes but the part when she drinks it and say ummm reminds me of porn lol
Hello ua-cam.com/video/AjPmxDaL9_Q/v-deo.html
I was raised in Utah but grew up drinking alot of boba tea because my mother is from Taiwan, my dad is from Samoa.
Hi Angel`
I have tried countless of milk tea recipes in the past, and I must say, yours is the best I have encountered so far. Thank you so much for the video! I love milk tea

I tried it with condensed milk instead of creamer powder. It is SO good! Thank you!!
Glad you like the drink recipe:)

Hi Angel! Thank you so very much for this video! I had trouble figuring out from which country bubble tea originated. . . till I found your recipe!
Thank you so much for the detailed video and explanations! Your video skills are so great!
I tried your recipe. but instead I used Oolong Tea. For the shaker, I used a bottle. It was delicious!! Thank you!!
this isn't the "authentic" recipe i was looking for because it includes powder creamer, but this actually tastes pretty good and its really easy!!
In Taiwan they actually use creamer in their milk teas. I saw it with my two eyes. That is why I was so surprised when I saw it
Dairy is hard on the stomach… unless you are a good portion European decent.
So happy... Im late to the game, but I became immediately obsessed w/ bubble tea. People around office were surprised to find I was making my own boba pearls this weekend!! I lived in Taichung for about one year and their Naicha or milk tea is really one of my favorite.

I had THE greatest Taiwanese cha milk bubble tea in London's Chinatown. Delicious.
Its nice to learn how to make it.Thank"s for sharing.
Angel first video 📽️ ☺️ and on her teenage days ☺️☺️☺️
Looks fantastic, gonna definately have to make some.
What about using condensed sweet milk instead of the creamer and cane sugar?
Not that same flavour ad most boba shops. but it does have a nice taste
thank you for this simple and delicious recipe.
IF I want a chocolate one or some other flavor, do I add the powdered flavor instead of the creamer or in addition to the creamer? Or is it better to use chocolate chips instead of the tapioca pearls?

Is the creamer sweetened or unsweetened?
thanks in andvance
I don’t like creamer can I substitute it with real milk and how much should I use to mix with tea ?
can I use brown sugar? because where I live they dont
sell cane sugar.
Yes, it's okay to use brown sugar, but you can also use regular white table sugar too (if you can't find organic cane sugar).
ok thank you!

Hi Angel
Coffeemate really makes the difference. I've made my perfect milk tea first time ever in my life. :-) Thank you for your recipe.
HA Luong without milk?
Reyes Castaño coffeemate is a creamer brand, basically a creamer is powdered milk :)
This is one of my favorite drinks..thanks for sharing..
Aah! Thank you for this! But what how much cane sugar and Non-dairy creamer would I need to make a whole pitcher of milk tea?
Thanks for the awesome history lesson !! I really enjoyed that 🤗
I want to try this recipe so much but does it need to be cane sugar or can I just use normal white sugar. Plus do you need a martini saker or could you use something else
It's okay, you can also just use normal white table sugar. Instead of a martini shaker, just stir and mix well in a glass.
Taiwanese bubble drink is soooo popular in Indonesia, and now I'm living in Netherlands, they don't sell it here :( so I want to try make it by myself, and so glad that this recipe is authentic taiwanese, thanks angel
+Nanda Ratna Astuti so sad there's no bubble tea shops in the Netherlands! Hopefully this video recipe will help. :)
There are actually, but you'll only be able to find them in the bigger cities.
+Angel Wong's Kitchen there's is actually a few bubble tea shop in big cities , but I rarely see it unlike in Indonesia. Yeah sure, thanksss :)
+The Silver Rivers yes you're right, I've seen one or two bubble tea shop in The Hague, sadly it's quite far from my place :(
Your videos are so clear and well edited but it's a little slow. Thank you so much for the recipe!

Hi! Can I use fresh milk instead?
What tea do ppl usualy use to make the authentic one? Earl grey? Ceylon? Assam?
Thanks miss angel😘😘😘
Such nice recipe!
Taiwanese people see very hospitable.
Can i use brown sugar instead of cane sugar?
Using a shaker for making milk tea is a smart idea.
wow.. while in Taiwan visiting my fiancé.. I tried this.. I love it.. I tried also watermelon milk too do you have a recipe for this??
'Loving' ‘Taiwanese' Milk Tea, it's "Totally Awesome"!! 😄 ❤️️
Thank you for the recipe, you look so beautiful and gracious when you show the martini shaker.
Brenda Vazquez š
THANK U!
FINALLY I made good milktea I recommend this.
I love your sweet voice, very pleasant voice n your awesome bubble tea menu 💝👍👍👍
Hi. I liked the tumblers u used to brew tea.Which tumblers did u use?they have a good size for the drink.
What did you do to your tapioca pearls? Did you also put sugar in it?
Thank you ! It's very useful.
@Angel Wong's Kitchen - If I wanted to use this recipe but make a hazelnut milk tea how would I do it?
Hi i just came back from taichung and bubble tea is the thing. How does your recipe taste as compare to 纯粹喝?
Nice presentation
What is the best kind of tapioca to use?
You have like a family resemblance to the handsome Christian actor from Princess Weiyoung and Autumn's Concerto. I can't remember his name because we call him Prince Naan Bread because of his name in Princess Weiyoung. But it's a compliment! Thank you for the lovely video!
I can't seem to find that tea in Canada. Amazon etc only has Red Rose Orange Pekoe... would it taste the same?
Yes that’s ok to use too,
i need to make one right now!!
Wonderful! I have been trying to make my own Milk Tea at home but it is never the same as the bubble tea shop. Thank you!
How many ml does the martini shaker that you’re using holds?
The key is tea,right?
And it has to be black tea for the same result?
Can i use any brand of black tea?
I love the video! Although I want to try it with fresh milk, what would be the equivalent of non dairy creamer to liquid milk? 🤔😊
this looks so yummy! I have try making one. Can I use fresh milk over thecreamer as a substitute? or maybe evaporated milk?
Hi angel wong I tried this recipe and it so good but I substitute green tea thanks for the recipe and I panned that I'm gonna make this at my Lil bro 7th months
Would you soak the tapioca in syrup (sugar+water) along with the cane sugar or just have the cane sugar? I dont want it super sweet. Please reply!!!
You need to dissolve the cane sugar, so combine sugar + water together and let the tapioca soak. You can also use less sugar too.
It looks delicious I love ice tea I'm going to try it
thanks Angel, cool video
How many ml of water do you use in this recipe?
Is this the same milk tea as gong Cha like the plain pearl milk tea that they have at gong Cha, is this the one
There's boba place back where I lived in Illinois and another here in Arizona that have a milk tea that is virtually identical tasting (and delicious). I've tried to recreate it myself, and I'm pretty sure they both use cassia seed tea. Does the ratio of tea/sugar/creamer work with that version too?
can i add also matcha powder too?
What the sago tapioca? Where to get it? I understand that it takes a long time to cook and it has to be used very soon after making it to avoid it becoming tough
Thank you for sharing. I’ll have to see if if Hawaii has Red Rose Tea bags.
Where is your mug from? The one where you steep the tea.
That looks good!!! Thanks for sharing:)
