    I would suggest getting a cheap Solar charge controller 10A one will work perfectly(Pwm) . Get a old 19v laptop charger.
    Everything will set you back R300-R500
    Connect the laptop charger to one of the solar inputs +/- on the Controller.
    Connect the ups cables to the with the battery cables on the input .
    This will ensure if you use bigger batteries that it will charge effectly and not damage the battery.
    I use to do the same as this but it decreases the batteries life span.
    The Solar charge controller just helps to manage the battery better.
    Lead acid batteries has 50% effectiveness where as lithium has 80-95% which means you can drain it much more and get more out of it and you can just set the cut off voltage on the controller according to the batteries specification.
    Hope this advice helps👌

      Just be careful to not buy too cheap had a problem once with really cheap one that it would just cause the ups to restart whole time. Hooked up an other one and worked great.

    • @p0we111
      @p0we111 Рік тому +1

      Hi Sean. I am using this setup in my house with a 45ah battery. I am able to keep on the wifi,1 x LED light and a 42inch TV that is 1year old so I guess pretty energy efficiant. All this was on for 2.5hours more than once.
      Im not sure about the xbox,never had one connected.
      If you dont want to spend money and buy a battery right away,take out your car battery for a test run to see how well it does...

    Dankie vir die vid JeanB, maak dit saak of die UPS "pure sine wave" of "simulated sine wave" is?

    • @p0we111
      @p0we111 Рік тому

      Hi Gerhard. Ek het al n hele paar UPSe so gekoppel en noot gekyk watse sine wave dit uitsit nie,so ek glo nie dit maak saak nie.
      Ek dink waar dit wel saak maak is met die goed wat jy daarop gaan koppel wat "sensitief" is soos jou TV of rekenaar. Die pure sine wave (volgens my) gee mos n skoner,meer akkurate krag uit wat beter is vir daai toestelle.

    Could this power up an old gate motor? The ones without battery backups?

    • @p0we111
      @p0we111 Рік тому

      Hi. You will have to cheack the watts of the gate motor and make sure its less than the watts of the inverter.
      If you dont use the motor too often, I'm sure it will be okay and would last 2hours...

      Hi. The AC draw remains the same as you can only use the available watts. 600watts for the smal UPS.
