When you were looking at the pins i was yelling at you "Pick up those pins!" I love selling ephemera. It can be kind of long tail but they don't take up much space to store. When I buy bags of pins like that, there are usually a few that will pay for the entire lot. The rest I just lot together and they will eventually sell. Great finds!! That Hermes scarf is beautiful! The second estate sale's process seemed kind of shady. I have never heard of the 2 list thing. I'm in Columbus, Ohio and I have never had that experience.
Ben, you are so right about estate sales and thrift stores printing out an Ebay listing and expecting that price. It urks me to no end, too!!! So frustrating and unnecessary. The Lake Norman area is very beautiful and there are some very high-end homes around there. Great haul!
I love picking up artwork. I just sold a piece for over $1,000. My investment was less than $1. It was in a lot I bought from a retired archeologist. Some of my greatest sourcing. I bought several sealed vintage books (all Native American) and 3 Native American pieces of artwork with 2 selling already. I really wish I could find more. I am going to start trying to source clothing with my knowledge I’ve gained from your awesome content!!
@@ReadySetResell in California, most Estate Sales I have been to (thousands) use a sign up list. And most resellers start an early bird list, which is absolutely rigged in the sense that dealers and resellers often add their reseller friends and business partners to the line without them having to physically be there. Or to stack a list so 5 out of the first 10 are all working together etc etc. The only fair system is for the estate sale company to only honor their own official list and the only way to get on the list is to be physically in line when the company shows up and hands out the list and or numbers. Most times it is unfair and most times it is due to the lack of due diligence by the estate sale company to have a system and a doorman to control entry
Hello 👋 BEN I really love your videos. And as always this is a BOLO video in many ways. Thank You for showing me how to grow my EBAY business from start to finish...
The Auction Professor has a UA-cam video on how extremely valuable vintage pins/badges are. You may have a pot of gold there. If you haven't already, you definitely need to watch his video. Congratulations on all of your amazing treasure finds! :)
Fantastic video. You showed your followers what really goes on behind the scenes at some of these Estate sales. Some of these companies mark higher end products super high hoping no one will purchase them. Then when the sale is over they swoop in and buy the merchandise for pennies on the dollar!! You have to be careful out there!
The Pendleton skirt is in The Black Watch Tartan pattern. The Black Watch is the regiment that guards Edinburgh Castle. It is also the Campbell tartan.
Awesome video. I love to go on the last day of the estate sales when is 50% discount, I make hundreds with last day pick up. First day, people are fighting over stuff and to expensive. Now when I see an ebay comps next to the item, I don't waste time and leave. A lot of thrift stores and yard sales do that here in my area.
Can't believe I missed this vid! The list to be on a list is CRAZY! Lake Norman, great area. 30 yrs ago several Nascar drivers lived up there- IDK about today. Great finds! Love estate sales!
Sometimes those auction companies make a deal where they take everything that didn’t sell instead of payment. They price the stuff so high knowing it won’t sell. That way they end up with all of the quality pieces. So unfair! Great finds!!! Thanks so much for sharing 💜
I learned some new things, like the Hermes scarf info. Thank you. Maybe you know this already but I wanted to mention it. If you go to the Seller Hub, Research tab, and click Terapeak product research then put in the title of the item in question you can find what the price was on a best offer. That watch for example, that you were talking about, sold for $300. So I would say that is excellent for a $15 pick up. Well done!
You have become a automatic thumbs up for me even before watching....you present so well. You picked some great items......What happened to your upload from yd, say something UA-cam didn't like?
Great finds love that blue and green plaid Pendleton skirt very cute with penny loafers and white tights very preppy love it there’s some keywords for you LOL
“Keep on treasure hunting” -Great new closing line! With each video you blow me away with the quality and variety of items you find. You are definitely not a one note seller or even the worst of the worst: too cheap to pay up for the good stuff. Keep on killing it because you are killing it!
Great finds, I bought a Tiffany key ring at an auction, it has a hammered finish and the sellers thought it was broken and marked it as such! I got it for £5! I cleaned it up and couldn’t believe what a great find it was!
Welcome to the south. Estate sales will sell good high end stuff to special people before you get there. Plus Goodwill’s are so corrupt down here. Most of mine are people getting only high end brands out of the back. We never see those brands
We Call Those Watch Roll's. I would invest in in a $25 dollar Watch Tool Kit and a Multi pack of Button Cell Batteries. Watch tool kits have case openers for both Pop Off and Screw on Case Backs. Comes with Bracelet tools to add or remover links and a Plethora of other uses. Also pick up a tube of Poly watch for Plex Plastic crystals . You can Buff out the scratches of the Older Plexi crystals
Wow! They must have been super rich!! I just tried an estate sale last week and it was super high priced. Good to know that some estate sale companies price things affordable. I will have to try some different ones. Congrats on the great finds!
2:28 top right hand side of the box appeared to be a kilt', (near the Pendleton skirt) if it was pure wool made in Scotland it would be worth a good bit. I sold the last one I picked up for $3 for $70 plus post. The second sale - What a ridiculous system!
I think the brand was gift shop or something along that line. I forget but I had never heard of it. If I was in cincy I would have bought the whole trunk.
Terapeak shows the actual sold price of listings that say 'best offer accepted' in the eBay solds. The Technomarine watch you brought up sold for $300. Nice find, congrats!
I have not finished the video yet but I just had to pause and say, man do I feel you on the frustration of that jacked up estate sale, early bird list, marked up products etc. etc. I feel bad for the amount of time you spent (wasted). I will finish the video and see if your "therapy" help you out. Hope so!
Ben I am writing this even before I finished watching the video, remember I live in Sun Valley, Idaho, we have no Goodwills, but we have a famous thrift store called the Gold Mine, which benefits our local library, anyway, when they get donations, the manager makes the employees check on Ebay to price the items. Irks me as well.
Great video. I like how you showed off what you bought as you were describing it. Would love to see the sold comps too, but I can see already the amount of effort it took just to do this
I attended the Ozark Music Festival and what an experience! I would love to have a pin for a trip down memory lane. That Friday sale was AMAZING! Thanks so much for taking us along! OMG, that watch!
I have never heard of an earlybird list. I also don’t agree with getting a number and then leaving and coming back. I would def avoid that ebay agent sale - crazy. I wouldn’t have given that watch a second look. Good for you🤗
you can use slabwatch to get the best offer prices on eBay solds. The watch went for $308. I guess I have to venture out a bit more to estate sales here in Charlotte as I typically stick to the thrifts and yard sales in the summer. Great job!
Rule of thumb on kindles is if they are on the "needs charged" screen they could have a bad battery ad they will still show that screen even after charging.
I don’t play that early game, and you probably shouldn’t either. There’s always stuff to pick after the mob goes through. Sometimes the prices are too high on the first day anyway. You spend all that time in line just hate the prices when you get inside.
Yep, I’m with you. I would never go to another estate sale through that company either! Btw, I sold an Eileen Fisher sweater for $35 plus shipping within 12 hours of listing it last week!
Sorry for your frustration yeah some estate sales are like that but I would have gotten the Chanel sandals that was a very good price for less than $200 dollars
Also on Ebay they have buyer protection. I hate when garage sales and stuff have eBay prices. Like makes me want to ask them "oh this place is eBay?" I thought it was a yard sale.
when you factor in the amount of time waiting to get in [all the jewelry will be gone if not at top of list] and driving back and forth and then assign an hourly cost to that and then after you paid the high markups, is it worth it?
Yes!!! UNBOX THE PINS! 😁
When you were looking at the pins i was yelling at you "Pick up those pins!" I love selling ephemera. It can be kind of long tail but they don't take up much space to store. I'd list the Ralph Lauren Christmas sweaters now. Christmas sells all year!!
I listed them last night. 😎👍
Would love to see a video on the pins you picked up.
👍👍
So do I!
I would love to see you do an unboxing on the pins. I think everybody would enjoy that. Can't wait. Great haul.
Thanks I think I will do one 👍👍
You are super informative with your finds and I really appreciate the pointing out of brands to look out for. Thanks again!
No problem glad you enjoy and find the information useful!
He's one of the best reseller channels on UA-cam.
Ben, you are so right about estate sales and thrift stores printing out an Ebay listing and expecting that price. It urks me to no end, too!!! So frustrating and unnecessary. The Lake Norman area is very beautiful and there are some very high-end homes around there. Great haul!
😆 I hate seeing it places. I’ve even seen thrift stores and yard sales with the print outs.
I love picking up artwork. I just sold a piece for over $1,000. My investment was less than $1. It was in a lot I bought from a retired archeologist. Some of my greatest sourcing. Ur logic is on point man that estate sale was doing some weird stuff. I tend to avoid estate sales they freak me out for some reason
I like estate sales overall. Just the way that one was ran was off putting.

If you piece them out they will be long tail items but you will get close to 1000 after all said and done
Fantastic video. You showed your followers what really goes on behind the scenes at some of these Estate sales.

Love the scarves and Tiffany items. Wish I lived closer.

Thanks I appreciate the support! And yeah I’m not sure why but UA-cam just wasn’t liking me uploading yesterday. So I had to reupload today.
Wow !!! you did real good. Great job again. Thanks Ben.
Great finds love that blue and green plaid Pendleton skirt very cute with penny loafers and white tights very preppy love it there’s some keywords for you LOL
Yep, and yep on the button/pin unboxing Ben.
👍👍
Wow what an awesome score on the wholesale but that picture and that watch $$$$

Dang that’s awesome! Congrats! 🎉
The silver clothes also prevent tarnish.
Get purchases! I would like to see a pin unboxing. Those should sell well.
Welcome to the south. Estate sales will sell good high end stuff to special people before you get there. Plus Goodwill’s are so corrupt down here. Most of mine are people getting only high end brands out of the back. We never see those brands
Great finds !! Your channel is very educational thank you 🙏🏼
those polo posters are awesome!!!
Awesome Ben!!!!!!

Thanks for the tip. I think I will do that. It’ll save me money getting stuff replaced at the jewelers. Thanks for the suggestion.

Excellent pick Ben!!!
Great finds...luv the sweaters
Ebay print outs are the kiss of death for me at any garage / estate sale lol.
More and more people are doing it and never with sold comps.
Glad you found so much. Estate sales are tough. Gloomy days lately, but today was so beautiful here! I have a few more BOLOs to add. Thanks again!
Today was beautiful for sure! It’s refreshing to have a bright sunny day after a rainy streak.
My favorites were the silverware cover pieces... turning what would seemingly be thrown away or looked over items into profits. Good job
So funny! I know exactly what estate sale company you are referring to. I will never go to another one of their sales.
Would love to see you unbox all the pins! I did pretty well selling a bunch of pins out of my junk drawer years ago.
Nice! I’m hoping there are some good ones 😁
and/or for wallets too ,,the dust covers
Awesome finds Ben! That was great. Yes, would like to see more on the pins as well. Lots of history in there!
😁👍
Wow!!! that watch is an amazing find!!
Thanks!

Look on the auction professor channel. I saw a video on pin buttons. Keep us posted when they sell.
Would be very interested in seeing the unboxing on the pins
Wow! You find the best stuff
😁
Some Presidential and music pins sell for big money, excellent finds.
I would call prince albert about that ring🤪
I’d enjoy an unboxing video of those pins. Great idea!
😁👍
Love the content, great stuff! Wish you did more research on the sold comps in the end though if things were legit. Thanks :)
Would love to see you go through the pins😁😁
Ben I am writing this even before I finished watching the video, remember I live in Sun Valley, Idaho, we have no Goodwills, but we have a famous thrift store called the Gold Mine, which benefits our local library, anyway, when they get donations, the manager makes the employees check on Ebay to price the items. Irks me as well.
Yeah I know a lot of smaller thrifts do it. There are a couple mom and pop ones In Cincinnati that do it.
Yes, please show the pins !
Great video. I like how you showed off what you bought as you were describing it. Would love to see the sold comps too, but I can see already the amount of effort it took just to do this
Thanks for the input I appreciate it! 👍
I attended the Ozark Music Festival and what an experience! I would love to have a pin for a trip down memory lane. That Friday sale was AMAZING! Thanks so much for taking us along! OMG, that watch!
That’s awesome. I bet it was an amazing experience for you. I think I saw at least 2 of those pins maybe 3 from the outside of the bag.
Thanks for another great video!
No problem! Thanks for watching.
I have never heard of an earlybird list. I also don’t agree with getting a number and then leaving and coming back. I would def avoid that ebay agent sale - crazy. I wouldn’t have given that watch a second look. Good for you🤗
Yeah I think I’m gonna avoid that company. Not my cup of tea.
Those Patagonia ski pants are 🔥
Great find brother, super informative thanks a lot
Thank you!
Dansk is also known for its dishes. They sell for a good price
Wow what a hit. Absolutely cleaned up shop. Congrats on the finds and the info. Happy hunting.
Thanks, I’m very happy with the hail.
Definitely follow the first estate company...great prices!
Yeah I’ll be going back to them for sure!
great video, very interested in what services you use to authenticate items the shoe one was amazingly helpful. thanks
An unboxing would be cool.
you can use slabwatch to get the best offer prices on eBay solds. The watch went for $308. I guess I have to venture out a bit more to estate sales here in Charlotte as I typically stick to the thrifts and yard sales in the summer. Great job!
Thanks for the tip. Good to know! I’ve enjoyed most of the estate sales for far except for that second company in this video.
Gucci wallet is real. Hermès scarves can sell for $200-$500 a piece! Great haul!!
Thanks for the info!
Rule of thumb on kindles is if they are on the "needs charged" screen they could have a bad battery ad they will still show that screen even after charging.
I have one that way as we speak lol.
Definitely do an unboxing of the pins!
👍
Amazing finds. Thanks for sharing. I would love to see you open the pins also.
Great! Thanks for the input.
most, maybe all those dust covers are for handbags i believe...
Wow! What an amazing sale! Love the watch!
Thanks! It was a great one for sure!
Dang that’s absolutely insane!!
😀
Unboxing of pins sounds good.
😀
Kilted Skirt. That's your Pendleton skirt..Check out the tartan with Google lens
👍👍
Great finds! Scarves, wallet and that watch!
Thanks!
It was the nipple ring comment that did it for me 😂😂
😂🤣
Nice picking there for only$100! Way to go!
Thank you!
Nice sale!
Great finds. So happy for you
Thank you!
Tip: You see it, You want it, Get it when you see it!
Congrats, great haul, yet again!!! It looks like there could be some good pin finds in the lot you got, do a vid!!
I hope so 😀
6:37 I’m with you, that is actually the worst.
U have just earned a new Sub yes unbox the Pins🙏😇😉
Sorry for your frustration yeah some estate sales are like that but I would have gotten the Chanel sandals that was a very good price for less than $200 dollars
It happens. I just wanted to show the frustrating side of things too. Also, They were heels and comped out under the 195 they were asking.
Outstanding Finds. I need to estate sale with you.
Haha thanks!
When buying old clothes from estate sales... do you wash them before selling/shipping?
