    Oh I miss the country of my ancestors and am so thankful I could live there and learn some of these things in the west country whilst there. One day my yurt, made of ash from England and willow from Wales etc will be put up again in Australia where I now live.

      Indeed the climate and terrain is so different in Australia compared t the UK. Sincerely hope you fulfill your vision of setting up your Yurt and being able to spend time in it ~Peace~

      My schedule is a nightmare with barely 30 minutes free a day but I'd happily take a day off to make that short trip to see you and whatever is going on there - you'll have to remind me nearer the time though as my memory is getting worse, lol

    I envy your passion and lifestyle. You’ve worked hard to bring us each of your videos with each episode full of a life time of inspiration. The friendships you’ve made, the endorsements of fellow UA-camrs... all earned. Hard work and dedication. Clearly put, respect... you’ve earned it! I could go on for a thousand and three words but you’d only blush.... just keep up the good work and the trickle down effect... cause every post you have means worlds to someone somewhere. You have a knack.... knack away.... knack away..... ~~Cheers~~

    Great to see that at least some part of people in the UK are already preparing for when you guys leave the EU. Also great to know that you people will at least have bowls to eat out of and spoons to eat with … ;P
    tnx for sharing another Zedocumentary, and a great tnx to those at the event being willing to show of their skills on camera so that i could enjoy them. Looks like a lot of fun and i saw some amazing stuff i didn't think would even be possible on a lathe. Definitely something i hope to get into at some point in my life, and seeing the age range of people actively involved i seem to be pretty much free to choose when ever it suits me. Tnx to all and i hope you had (and will have in the future) a blessed event ~ Peace !

    Love the video
    The folk music is great it's an art form that unfortunately has faded away here in the USA
    I noticed that some people rap the rope many times around the mandrel and some only a few times does the number of raps increase speed or is just preference

    • @Zedoutdoors
      @Zedoutdoors 5 років тому

      The music at this event was great, some real talented singers and musicians. reg the mandrel there's lots of variables such as type of cordage used, the height of the lever point, etc therefore it tends to differ with each one ~Peace~

Hopefully next year I plan to film a video of one being made as it's quite a long process so i'll need to take out a few days to film it ~Peace~
