    Thanks Claus. I have used so much of your knowledge in my playing which is improving daily. Focusing and soloing on simple loops in 2 or 3 chords using the three tonics is so enjoyable. Thanks again.

    its actually pretty amazing what you can do with just those two strings. most people playing for years play all this mumbo jumbo all over the fret board and this in its simplistic form to me sounds great hows it blended in with the chords.

    I am sure you answered this already but do you think that alternate picking is better than economy picking? I have been studying 3 notes per string scales in all keys and all modes. Do you recommend alternate picking or economy picking while practicing?

    Question. I have some familiarity with the C major scale shapes all over the neck. I know the shapes remain the same but just have different root positions for other scales but, if I look at the fretboard, I get thrown by the dot inlays. Other than playing without looking at the fretboard how can I overcome this mapping shift resistance?
