Thank you for reacting to King George. Yes, this is a very sad song, about a choice he had to make. Do you notice what he's not doing on stage? He's not running around, jumping, doing back flips, wearing ratty, torn clothes. He's just standing there, singing, in nice clothes. THAT right there is a great country artist. He lets his songs be the performance, not him. The people came to hear him sing, and that's what they got, and they love it.
No Cheyenne is like the Super Bowl of Rodeos. My take is that he actually did make it but wanted to see his girl instead. And when she left him, he realized the Rodeo was all he had left.
My all-time favorite GS song, and I am a huge fan. This one hits right in the feels. Even more powerful in person with a quiet arena, and you know that haunting fiddle is coming to rip your guts out.
Well, you got a new sub. 👍 If you like George Strait you would probably like Chris Ledoux. I recommend "This Cowboy's Hat". Great storytellers. BTW, as someone who has friends that used to be rodeo riders it is like an addiction for them. They are adrenaline junkies.
If you recommend it I'll add it to the list! I can see how it's a complete adrenaline rush. I'm just now getting into rodeo and 8 seconds seems like forever! Thank you for commenting, recommending and subscribing! I appreciate you!!
I know you've already figured out that George is the GOAT of country music based on your other videos. He has dozens of songs I could recommend, but since you do seem to hone in on the storyline a lot I will recommend "Love Without End, Amen". If you want to see George's more fun/uptempo side, I would go with either "The Fireman" or "Lovebug".
I'll check it out Love without end amen! Thanks for recommending it! I appreciate you checking out a bunch of my videos. I hope I could entertain you for a few minutes today!
Ah.. makes sense... I just started watching Rodeo since I started watching these videos... and I find myself holding my breath for the 8 seconds or less... its crazy to watch. Thanks for watching and leaving some knowledge for me! I appreciate it! I'll see you on the next one! Cheers!!
It’s understanding a cowboy. He saying he loves her enough that if that’s what makes her happy then he’s not going to make it more painful by guilting her, he understands and so he is going to do the only thing he knows. By leaving phone dangling and looking back was him showing his heartbreak he couldn’t even hang it up which is rude and cowboy are known for their manners.
LOL I dont think Brilliant and me are friends but theres always a first for everything! Im having a great time with country and finding people like you are making the journey more than worth it! I appreciate you champ! Cheers!
Loy Lee I’m from North Carolina, and I was raised on this old country. A lot of this new stuff is more pop to me than country, so subscribing to you and watching you “get” the lyrics just makes me smile.
Thanks Austin! I appreciate you watching and leaving some great comments! I needed to hear that today. I took a few days off for mental health and to come back to your kind words has definitely brought my day for ok to awesome! I appreciate that! Cheers!
Since nobody has mentioned it yet when he says I can still make Cheyenne he’s talking about the biggest rodeo of them all This is a very very sad song very powerful another song I would recommend is rodeo by Garth brooks
I never knew that Men that professionally put themselves in the way of getting kicked in the face by angry livestock and guys that tell dick jokes to strangers could go through similar life struggles and emotions. This one hit me in the deep gut! thanks for watching! I'll see you on the next one! Cheers!
Ok, you have the best reaction videos. Just watched This cowboys hat, and had check out your others. You really need to do he stopped loving her today by George Jones.
I really wanted to see your perspective as someone who is on the road. I unknowingly lived this song 20 years ago but just recently come to figure that out.
George Strait has so many amazing songs. Hard to pick a favorite. I think you'd enjoy: "A Showman's Life." A duet with Faith Hill. It's a song for anyone the entertainment business. I think my favorite is: "Check Yes or No." Because it reminds me of a girl I had a crush on all through grade school.
Hey Champ, good to see ya again! Showmans life sounds interesting.... LOL Check yes or no definitely sounds like something back in grade school! I'lll check them out for sure! Hope youre doing well over there! Stay safe! Cheers!!
You need to listen to George strait oceanfront property he's got 50 number one hits he is the king of country music. Pluse I hope you get far in ur in your comedian what you do
Sorry bro,it's like batting, you'll be unsuccessful 75% of the time. Then you'll have a good run. Relationships are what they are. She knew going in ,why she was there. Nobody's falt.
Man, aint that the truth! 30% is hall of fame numbers LOL gotta take the good with the bad and when you get bucked off, gotta get back up and try for 8 seconds lol I appreciate you watching and leaving a great comment! Cheers!
@@LoyLeecomedy not a problem. Been there, got the buckle. You ride enough, you'll end up on your back. Pop says i bounce good. Best compliment ever. Keep em coming. Little different, but check out Kenny Chesney. Long list. Maybe start with No shoes,No Shirt,No problems. I'm a sailor now. He inspired me to go to sea. May give you an appreciation for how music can change your life. Enjoy....
Comedy is very similar in that regard. Its such a balance of being on the road and away from home and being home with my wife. I found it profoundly similar when you remove the angry animal trying to kick you in the face! Lol thanks for watching and leaving a comment! I appreciate you! Dont get kicked in the face by an angry farm animal!
Give Jinjer Pisces live studio video a try. A lot of people react to it and you might find it fun. ... Ukrainian Metal band... Thanks for the reaction.
@@LoyLeecomedy oh, cool. There's a chance you'll really like it. (you'll get a lot of Jinjer fan veiws) I love Jinjer...but definitely if you like to have a comical type reaction there's a lot of fun things you could comment on. A lot of people who react to it make funny comments.
Im a barrel racer n come from a rodeo family n you learn to accept. That my brother ln dad both team rope we go to his ropings he has, i seen my dad n bother loose alot of relationships cause everyone wants to date a rodeo man until they see how much we'll be on the rd . N he did say he was coming home nnshe said nevermind nnnot making one short go round doesn't mean your not good it jst means he had a bad day at wrk.
LOL this guy!! lol Growing in boston and seeing the pure joy the Sox of winning a championship on the old timers face when they won for the first time in in 86 years (beating St Louis) is something that will always stick with me.. .and seeing the old timers in St Louis after the Blues won, was totally worth it.. I never want to see the B's lose the cup but better than losing to the Blackcocks in 30 seconds lol... I appreciate you subscribing! I think we can be friends lol Cheers!!
The Patriots beat St Louis to win their first Super Bowl, the Red Sox beat the Cardinals to win their first World Series in ages, seems fitting that the Blues would get their first win against the Bruins.
@@gabrielmauller8137 LOL only fitting.. Greatest show on turf! Good times.. I do love St.Louis as a baseball town... its Boston, StL Chicago. I bought a bunch of the StL Championship pucks and sent them to my friends' fathers. It was only fitting. I feel, right now, there isnt a lot of those "First championship in my lifetime" moments to be had, and we got to see a lot of them!
Just to be fair, not making a short go dosen't mean he sucks at rodeo. He could have missed a markout, or could draw a poor horse, or a pile of other things. Missing a free throw dosen't make an NBA player shit at basketball, but that is still all on the player in that moment. In rodeo, a full half of your score depends on what animal you are given to ride. If you buck off, miss out, or the horse dosen't buck, you just waved bye bye to your entrance fee and drove God knows how far for nothing. But hey, there is still probably going to be a rodeo dance, or at least a bar full of buckle bunnies and you have nowhere to be untill the next rodeo.
makes sense... I went off the "again" but as I'm getting more acclimated to rodeo, the more the "hand youre dealt" makes more sense. LOL buckle bunnies Hilarious! thanks for the perspective! See you on the next go around! Cheers!
Fair enough. I was the guy that sucked at rodeo until my brains grew in. I did get a few buckles, and fewer bunnies, but it was fun in my teens and twenties. Now I am in my forties and every morning I wish I would have given it up younger, but I still have great friends and memories. I like the channel, keep it up! Oh, and more Chris LeDoux when you get a chance.
So rodeo question...so i dont know the right words to ask but whats the premiere rodeo circuit to watch and whats your favorite circuit if those are 2 different ones... Like, I started watching whatever is on ESPN but without context. How and where do I start this rodeo fan journey? lol thanks a ton!
@@LoyLeecomedy Well, for the full show, with all the events, the PRCA (professional rodeo cowboy association) is the main deal. Most of the televised rodeos will be PRCA events, and the money won at them count twoards the standings to make the NFR (national finals rodeo) in Vegas in December. If you are just looking for bull riding, the PBR is pretty hard to beat, and is a bit more of a "rock and roll" type of show. There are tons of state and local rodeo associations that put on rodeos and bull ridings and those can be lots of fun. I guess there are lots of team ropings and barrel racings that are put on locally, but those can be a bit boring if you don't care a Lot about those events. I used to date barrel racers, thank God for beer stands at those things. The best way to get a feel for rodeo (and rodeo cowboy culture in general) is just to go to one. I don't think it really translates as well on TV.
You have uncovered the meaning of sadness.
Every time I think I do, something happens and redefines my thoughts on sadness... I'm not crying...
Oh, also, rodeo guy is a country music trope. I'm sure you figured that out. But I am high and chatty.
Yes... It's a troupe that hits kicks me straight in the gut...minus the 2 tons of angry beef trying to kick my brains in, I relate to the lifestyle

Another great George Strait song is SHE LET HERSELF GO.
He loves rodeo life, more than home life. The rodeo is obviously tough but he doesn't want to give up.
Yea, for me very relatable. He's given a choice, and takes ones. Being on the road is lonely, but thats the life he wants

A common thing in cowboy songs is choosing the rodeo over your GF BF songs li,e someday soon or everything that glitters is not gold

George strait Amarillo by morning
Some rodeos mainly the ones on a big surcit will last up to 4 or 5 in the morning
George is definitely not pointing at the girls. He starred in a movie, pure country, and wouldn't kiss his co star, as she was not his wife
He didn't make it to the finals of team roping or bronc riding, most likely

Dude stop pausing every 20 seconds. Number one rule while listening or watching a King George video, is you NEVER EEEEEEEEEVER pause it.
Yea.. sadly I got to or risk being blocked for copyrights. Great song
Thanks for watching even with all the pauses!
Its not so much that he's not good it more likely that he is past his prime and the competition is getting younger
I'm bailing. Way too many stops. It's annoying as hell.
i had to move on dude...quit pausing so much.. pick your times to pause ...not every 10 seconds
pausing every second word is way to much i can see once or twice but this just kills it for me and i only made it 2:44 thumbs down for me.
