ER waits are no joke right now. I was in the waiting room for 5 hours with an 8/10 pain and was crying the entire time.
You did the right thing. You always do the best for your kids. Don’t ever change. You both are the best parents and always doing everything you can do for your children.

He is a strong little champ always nice seeing the smile on his face even when things aren’t great he’s still smiling when most wouldn’t I know it’s kind of part of the condition but it is still nice seeing his wonderful smile no matter what ❤

It must be so hard when he can’t tell you anything but you guys as normal got organised and so got him checked out.With 6 kids that’s not easy.Glad he’s fine now.❤️

Does Griffin have a helmet to wear when he is outside. That way if he.falls it will protect his head. Our oldest daughter wears a helmet. We got her.one when she fall at school and hit her head on the concrete.
Yes!!! That would be for the best, I think!! My mind went to a helmet, too!!
Make sure the school write an incident report so they document it. It will save a lot of headaches when they interview you at the hospital. I'm glad he's OK.

I'm glad you aren't blaming the school. It is really easy for parents to blame the school because the only thing they know about the accident is that it was there, hence it is their fault. Like you said, it can happen anywhere, especially with a special needs kid. So props to you guys, you seem like amazing parents

omg hope griffin feels better soon im glad hes ok now and went to the er and got checked. that stinks when things like that happen especially at school. im glad his teachers know what happened and hope it will be solved ik they care about him and he is strong accidents happen. his friends care about him

Am I just imagining things or did Griffin say “apple” over and over again when he was trying to give Will applesauce? If so, that’s so cool. I’m so sorry that he got hurt but I’m glad he’s doing ok!

The school needs to be looked into. Was Griffin at school all day with a concussion? Why weren't you called to pick him up from school? If he was my kid I would be angry.
Do you think he would wear a helmet just for when he’s outside so he can move around the way he wants and if he falls his head is protected. It would suck if they have to let him miss out on recess and being outside because of safety.

How come you don't address the need for a helmet? Did the school recommend one? It seems the logical thing to do since he's a fall risk with seizures etc.

6 hours + is usual in our hospital. Since covid is been slightly less. Definitely did right to get him checked.. does Griffin have a helmet to wear for frequent falls?
Before covid here in Italy if you were lucky you would have to wait in the ER from 12 to 14 hours now with covid at least 3 days to be checked and get some medical care...a total disaster

I'm pretty sure he had a concussion. Most head injuries involve a concussion.

@@SissyBrown Emily doesn't do click bait videos. It's not like her. She probably forgot to mention that the dr said he likely had a concussion.
I couldn't imagine that Griffin would not have a concussion after falling backwards and hitting his head on the hard gym floor.
Pupil change, not eating, gagging, and acting lethargic are all signs of a concussion. Out of 5 of my children, 3 have had a concussion at one time or another when they were younger. Even at the age of 9 months, my daughter fell out of the stroller and the paperwork said head injury/concussion and listed all of the things I needed to do.

@@SissyBrown I don't get the point in criticizing others because of a title in their video, especially when they've gone through a traumatizing situation with their special needs child and may have forgotten to say that he had a concussion. But hey, sounds like you know better...
I had a concussion at school too a older boy knocked me over an ambulance came to the school I landed on my face on concrete

He is minimally verbal. But his mom calls him nonverbal. Like I said, just because someone can’t talk does not mean they’re stupid. they have a different ability and one of them is not speech.

The school seem to not watch them that well that's at least two bad falls he's had tbere.
One of his falls was when Emily was walking with him on the school grounds. I think this latest fall was the 2nd fall there. But like I said , the 1st fall was when he was with Emily, not with any of the teachers.
His disabilities make him prone to falling it’s not necessarily the schools fault.

Griffen and his twin turned 5yrs last month.
Not all head injuries need a CT scan.
He's 5 years old and yes, he still wears a diaper and will probably wear a diaper for a long time. He has Angelman syndrome. Look it up and read about it.
Watch their birth vlog you will know when they were born. He’s special needs so he’s in diapers and that’s their business and not yours. Worry about your kids.
