Katherine Campbell it shouldn't be tough though.. my husband and I have a passionate love affair & we love each other so much, it makes things natural and easy. However, their situation is different, coming off of a reality TV show where he was dating multiple women. They need to move on and make the decision to not look back... what's to argue about so much? They chose this and knew she was from Montreal ... love shouldn't be this hard.
Well, I think everyone has different experiences in relationships and while I agree love should feel easy and natural (which I think they very much do, they're very comfortable with each other and were intuitive with one another since the beginning of the show!) they are dealing with a lot of outside pressure that hasn't been relieved for the last four months. If it's meant to be for them, they'll make it work, hard/tough times be damned :)
the bottom line is you have no idea of what is going on in their lives, so your judgement is about you, not them
So funny reading peoples comments about these two now, when Nick was clearly forcing enthusiasm and Vanessa was faking for the camera.....what were people seeing that made them think this was a genuine couple?

Nick seems a bit serious, articulate and likes to over analyze. Vanessa seems the same. Their personalities are quite similar. That would make them compatible in some aspects and oppositionist in others. Depends on how they can balance that. Nick seems to like a challenge. Every woman who declared they loved him he dropped like hot potatoes. Raven and Nick got along so much better and even he said he related to her more. She was sitting by him so easily looking serene. She is sweet, vibrant agreeable and fun loving. But he didn't have to fight for her love therefore boring for him. Vanessa is mature, has a job that impacts people's lives and has strong opinions as evidenced when she called him out on straddling Corinne. He likes that challenge. The difference this time is that there was no other guy Vanessa could feel strongly for. With Kaitlyn and Andi they chose the similar safe choice not the guy who could challenge them. They look like a couple who are still getting to know each other. On screen they obviously have passion. But in real life they've already started fighting actually had first fight on screen but it depends on how they work out their differences. Some couples love that and can get over the fights it's when you have lack of communication compromise and forgiveness where problems occur. We shall see. The pros is that they both seem mature and committed to working on it. They both have strong family ties. One of them has to learn to check their ego when they fight. Because they both have opinions they will have to learn how to fight and then move past it. She likely has a fiery Italian temper so he will need to give in more happy wife happy life. I must say good for him for being proud to be American but maybe they can move to Canada a few years so their kids can learn her culture as well.

A connection is missing! I feel like they don't connect with each other. Compared to how he looked at Andi (who he once loved) when she popped up on the show compared to how he looks at Vanessa is completely different. I feel like if she's too boring for him although she is very beautiful and has a great personality.
EXACTLY! I felt like he had a stronger connection with Raven and Rachel than Vanessa. I know he is capable of having that connection because we've seen him before but they're not connecting.

okay well they're not kaitlyn and shawn. every relationship is different.
It's more sexual chemistry with Kaitlyn and Shawn. Relationships should always go much deeper than that (not saying Kaithlyn and Shawn's don't go deeper, I just wouldn't know). Vanessa and Nick are taking things slower and getting to know each other, which is very smart! If more couples did that, maybe there wouldn't be so many divorces!

Jump to conclusions much? Did you watch the show? Nick is never at a loss for words, but, yes, he was at this moment. Who knows why. A lot depends on how you are edited by the producers, too, and what time of day it is. They could be adding extra pause. Or leaving them in, as most of us like to think before we speak. Sheesh. All I kept thinking was how content Nick finally looks because he found his true love....
