Randy my middle child joined the national guard at 17, worked two other jobs besides going to his junior and senior year. I told him Jon you need to take time to enjoy your life and he turned to me saying mom I don't want to be you at your age working full time job plus all your part time jobs. I want to enjoy my life at your age. Now 20 plus years later he has an awesome wife and family and enjoying his life with his beautiful family . He works full time national guard and is doing well. I still struggle and keep on trying to get a head. Randy thank you for sharing your life struggles with us and I understand the path you have walked. God plus you
Big R, it is not about aptitude. People learn different and develop at different spreed. I’m with you, I’m one of five girls and did all the right expected stuff but In comparison to my four siblings they did minimum and always got ahead. I did the right stuff and had to work twice as hard to goal. It is not the size of the mountain, it is building a mountain, keeping it and doing well at it. You are very accomplished, cut yourself some grace. You’re doing great!

I loved your college story. Same thing happened to me. I was in broadcasting and had my first time directing a news show. The crash of Savings and Loan companies had that day and we covered it, got the video back and the editor machine ate it. Had one of my people completely drop a story, but I had a back up prepared, I did everything right and went above and beyond and got an F because I ended up adding a commercial when one of the machines crashed during the show. I did learn that most businesses don't care about what all you went through, they care about the end product, and your end product at ITH is incredible!
Randy, you are a mentor to many! We all have been kicked down in one way or another and lost some self esteem. Sharing your story is a direct example of licking your wounds and to pick yourself up by the boot straps. Keep moving upwards and onwards no matter the pace.

You guys hit 100K. Congrats. I know the giveaway is gonna happen soon so thought I’d argue my case. I’m a college student in KY and once I graduate I’ve been looking for housing options until I get a family and a tiny house looks like the best bet. So you know if I got it it would be be well used. Love what you guys do, keep it up.
I bought a shed. But it was built 16" on center with 8 ft walls. I reframed headers and added my own house windows. Setup a 24 volt solar setup. 200 sq ft and im still under 20k. I do wish I had know about this before I started it. Lol. Would have saved me a lot of time.
@@Roobah nope. They brought it and set it up on blocks. Trailer would have added more to it. I'll have about 15 in it when I'm done. And be off grid. It eould be nice if it was small.enough to move myself. But I dont plan on moving it a lot.
I love the palm tree on the end, and the flowers. Put a retractable screen door, a fold down deck with slide out steps, a retractable awning, I would do stucco on the outside, shutters, and flower boxes, once you plan to stay put somewhere, put skirting on it. Put some colorful lights on it. On the inside, I would want the countertop to be a bit longer to come close to the bed, and then there would be room to put a Randy Rack for your pantry items, and still have room for it to have space underneath for a chair. I would put some shelves above the window wrapping around in a u-shape, for books and a stereo receiver, DVR, and lower shelves for a turntable, and Blu-Ray player, set up a speaker bar next to the TV, that can also be used for audio entertainment. A twin bed, to be up like a day couch, and bed at night, tall enough to put a 3-drawer dresser underneath, like some dorms have, and that another thing, if you were in college, use as your dorm room. In that case, call it the Incred-I-Dorm.

My parents had all girls, and my sister had all girls. When we all get together the women never stop talking and laughing, having a great time! The men all sit quiet looking like deer caught in the headlights! 😄 We asked one time why they were all so quiet. They said we girls never stopped talking long enough to get a word in edgewise!!! Said we even talk over each other we talk so much! And we do. So true. 😁

You guys hit 100K. Congrats. I know the giveaway is gonna happen soon so thought I’d argue my case. I’m a college student in KY and once I graduate I’ve been looking for housing options until I get a family and a tiny house looks like the best bet. So you know if I got it it would be be well used. Love what you guys do, keep it up.
I bought a shed. But it was built 16" on center with 8 ft walls. I reframed headers and added my own house windows. Setup a 24 volt solar setup. 200 sq ft and im still under 20k. I do wish I had know about this before I started it. Lol. Would have saved me a lot of time.
@@Roobah nope. They brought it and set it up on blocks. Trailer would have added more to it. I'll have about 15 in it when I'm done. And be off grid. It eould be nice if it was small.enough to move myself. But I dont plan on moving it a lot.

Put a retractable screen door, a fold down deck with slide out steps, a retractable awning, I would do stucco on the outside, shutters, and flower boxes, once you plan to stay put somewhere, put skirting on it. Put some colorful lights on it.
On the inside, I would want the countertop to be a bit longer to come close to the bed, and then there would be room to put a Randy Rack for your pantry items, and still have room for it to have space underneath for a chair. I would put some shelves above the window wrapping around in a u-shape, for books and a stereo receiver, DVR, and lower shelves for a turntable, and Blu-Ray player, set up a speaker bar next to the TV, that can also be used for audio entertainment. A twin bed, to be up like a day couch, and bed at night, tall enough to put a 3-drawer dresser underneath, like some dorms have, and that another thing, if you were in college, use as your dorm room. In that case, call it the Incred-I-Dorm.
