I need more content like this. Honestly have been dealing with chronic burnout for over a year now, recently left my 9-5 job and am trying to start my own business and feel like I have no sense of balance at all. I skip meals, eat too much takeout when I do eat, don't drink enough water, am glued to my computer constantly, don't have a consistent workout routine anymore, and feel like I am constantly giving too much of myself to others. Really trying to have the motivation to take better care of myself and get "back on the wagon".

I totally resonate with what you said in this video about falling into bad habits. After getting married and moving twice within two months I still haven’t gotten back into the swing of things. I am working on changing things but falling back into those unhealthy habits is too easy!

Your videos always make me feel like I’m hanging out with a bff. And as a fellow mom Siri is lifesaving. Especially because sometimes my hands aren’t free but if I wait to do something (put a memo in my phone or on the calendar) I WILL forget. I was thinking the other day about how technology (e.g. my robot vacuum, a dishwasher, online grocery shopping) impacts my day as a mom and I’m genuinely so thankful for all of it and the way it helps me be a more present person.

I’ve been inspired to rehaul my life, declutter everything as I’m finding all of my freaking time during the day is cleaning and it’s stealing so much of my time and joy and also means I forget to eat all the time. I’m working out hard and not fuelling my body properly so… riddle me that. Not exactly ideal.
I’m decluttering toys, clothing, kitchen stuff and doing one load of laundry a day so it doesn’t pile up and then I’m also ordering salads for the week so I have pre made salads for my lunches as that’s what I like mid day the most.

Ough I get this!! I’m a mum of a 19 month old boy and he was a high need baby and he still is very high need. Don’t get me wrong, he’s an angel and I love him soooo much but he just needs a load of attention and has very fast mood swings. On top of that I’m super self critical/perfectionist (only with myself not with others) and am trying to be super mum. I’m exhausted and feel so angry on the inside while I know that it’s no one’s fault but my own… I Topf need and crave balance in my life and I also need to set boundaries for myself to take time off, eat healthy and be kind to myself.
It’s sooo helpful to see that even you are struggling with the same issues. I never thoughts that’s how you feel. You always seem to do it all. After this video I don’t feel alone anymore. Thanks for that 🥰

I have been in a business work life balance funk for a while. Getting habits back on track, I just finished the audio book the gap and the gain and ah. So good. Started pre setting daily intentions by journalling and using an app blocker on my personal phone to block socials. It's made a big impact on my productivity and happiness. It's a good listen if you are into audio books

My advice Sarah-
I am like you. I am DRIVEN and I pour everything I have into my kids. My work ethic drives into my parenting ethics. I think this is great BUT when you go too ham, you WILL burn out. The first three years of my first daughters life - I was super mom. I didn’t even use my phone if she was awake! But after having a second child, I couldn’t keep that bar up any longer. I’ve had to learn balance!
Anytime you can take a look inside and truly listen to your body as a mother, do it. If you need a break, take the break! If you need more gym time, take more gym time.
Becoming an adult is hard and becoming a parent is hard and it all just gets harder and harder to self reflect and ask for the things we need and GIVE OURSELVES PERMISSION to give ourselves what we need to survive.
Anyways so your advice back to you. LISTEN to your body.

This has been me and our household! Decided enough was enough and made Sundays a dedicated meal prep day to make food for at least the next 2-3 days so that i would actually get to eat a proper lunch. Was amazing for the one week I did it 🤣 thank u for the motivation to get everything back on track…it’s so hard with a toddler and a baby but we got this 💪🏽

Don’t kill your self we are animals and you are not procrastinating is just that you are in a state where you need to be with your body and your mind. It took me 3 years to become myself again. After I had my son I was exactly like you saying I was procrastinating but then when one morning I wake up and start everything again I realise it wasn’t me it was a natural process for some women take less and another like in my case 3 years. It is ok anyway

We’re all completely different (ofcourse) but think it really is just a season.
All seasons look different and all seasons have different adjustments/adaptations.
I use to feel like the things you do which id often do when my boys were smaller were “bad habits” but they were really just serving me for that season and it took me time to accept that rather than judge myself for it ❤
Is natural for us to want to advance our lives to serve us better but sometimes it’s also helpful to accept parts and release our internalised expectations because the load has shifted now. And what’s required of you as a mama now means you sacrifice SOME things for a season.
I certainly know as a young mother if I watched this and another video coming (aware it’s to help) I’d struggle to accept myself and have this idea reinforced that I need to be/do better.
I don’t know if that means anything but the core of it is - it’s okay and it will change life always does x

I’m not even a mom and I feel like my habits that are usually good turned the other way.
Bad Habits:
•Eatting out to much
•Not enough meals at home
•Going to bed late
•Spending too much time on my phone
•Not having a schedule for the day (basically no routines
•Consistent Gym time
Good Habits I Want to Establish:
•Eat at home
•Go to bed by 10:30pm
•Have a Morning & Night Routine
•Schedule Phone time
•Make it to the Gym at least 3x this week.
I will start this by looking at my current routines.

I find doing small things for myself during the day makes me always feel better, if the kids are playing I’ll quickly go do skincare to feel half normal again 😂. If I know I have things to do in the morning I’ll set the bag up the night before so I’m not running around being chaotic the next day lol
