@@WalshyFire I did the same for Game of Thrones. I can't help but look more into the lore when I am interested in something new and accidentally finding out about the red wedding ruined it entirely for me. Hopefully this wont be the same
same here. had to know what happened to her. i like the series better too. i hope they deal with books 2 and 3 better also. i thought those books dragged.
Here’s what I’d like to know: How wide was the nuclear devastation? Am I supposed to believe that this crazy Senator had the power to set off nuclear missiles all over the world or was it just local to North America? In other words, are the people who managed to escape the silos at the end of the series the only human left on the entire planet or are there other people somewhere and they just didn’t come near the silos because of the toxic zone?
There aren't any living people in the world.outside silos. That is the reason why whole operation was planned for 500 years. They wanted to be sure no one outside silos will survive. There were many people involved in the plan. Senator Thurman was only one of the highest . Silo 1 is is full of people.from military, politics , intelligence. 9000-10000 people.together. And there was only one city destroyed by nuclear bomb. Atlanta. You can see ruins on screen from.silo 18. They needed world unharmed so it could be restored after 500.years when they planned to release people out. And thatswhy they used nanobots not nukes, to wipe out only humans.
The only thing i hate about this story its the destruction of silo 1 that make zero sense to destroy it when its the key to all the others silo and beyond ....
So essentially. When they go out to clean the glass they are releasing the bad nanobots? If no one cleaned the windows and just started walking all would be fine
I am glad I saw this and not have to suffer through two more seasons. I think the TV show moves to slow and now seasons are not continuous. What I mean is season 4 might be 2 years away and season 4, if it’s not cancelled count be 4 or 5 years away.
I find it difficult to find any good created male characters in the narrative.. no really care after the disastrus episode 8 .. it was so bad.. and it will be really important to explain about the kids and that to be a good story of how they survived .. if Solo is out that makes -1 male characters maybe had some importance... tiring trend
Stays true to the books? Are you serious? Did you actually read the books? The character personalities are way off. Juliette's character was ruined and made timid.
The show is a SLOG to watch and I was not about to waste more time on it after these 2 seasons that could have easily been 1 season lol thanks for the rundown
Again we see decent books made into tv/movies that MUST include the , how shall i say it ? gaynesses ... Example ...Walker ( in the book ) was an old man , why in the tv series it’s an old woman with an estranged/divorced wife ??? like what the fuck has that to do with the story line ? Interracial marriages , East Indian characters that still have an East Indian accent even though as far as we know they have been living inside the silo for over 140 years .... We see this over and over and over and we’re getting tired of it !
How, in your mind, does living underground for over 140 years force people to have a white american accent? Having accents and different sexual orientations aren't only an above ground experience dumbass, they can happen inside the silo as well
I thought these gays and othe minorities were supposed to be the snowflakes. Always sed white guys writing entire paragraphs of nothing but whining. Weirdo behavior.
Anybody here after Season 2, Episode 9?
Yes I’m tired of this slow ass show 😂😂😂😂😂 hurry up
Yes

@@UnblockmeCherishExactly! The pacing is killing me
@@UnblockmeCherish yea, how dare they have characters talk in this show, just make it all action like a Micheal Bay movies because those are soo good.
Reading the book(s) after a series/movie is the best. More than often, the world expands and reveals itself for every chapter. It's magic.
Did this with game of thrones and currently with silo. I agree
I agree. The other way around inevitably ends up disappointing.
I dont know why I just watched this and ruined the season for myself, lol.
Even reading or listening to the books does not ruin the show, just adds an extra layer of enjoyment. Who knows how the show will tell the story
Nahhh it will still be good
@@WalshyFire I did the same for Game of Thrones. I can't help but look more into the lore when I am interested in something new and accidentally finding out about the red wedding ruined it entirely for me. Hopefully this wont be the same

@@grey7513 But then id have to like...read.
It was disappointing that the survivors of silo 18 didn’t do anything about the other Silos after reaching the seed.
I read the books after watching series 1 since I had to know what happened next.
Spoil it for me
Wish I didn't. Not because it spoiled it for me. Honestly I like the TV series better so far.
same here. had to know what happened to her. i like the series better too. i hope they deal with books 2 and 3 better also. i thought those books dragged.
To be fair, the season is some what faithful to the pacing because not much really happens in silo 17. It's in silo 18 that the action is.
i read the silo books and totally forgot how bernard died.
Bernard gets sent out to clean, however he doesn’t go outside and gets burned in the airlock.
So I just finished watching season 2. I'm itching to read the books now.
Love the book! Couldn’t wait for seasonn 2

Loved the books when I found them. I was playing Fallout 4 as it had just come out around the same time and it was the perfect World to be in lol.
Yeah Silo is basically a postmodern Fallout

Why did you overdub the word Silo almost every time you said it?
Bruh why did you point it out 😭😭
@nomi_4773 what the fuck is going on

Thank you!
Thanks for watching
Why the hell did I watch this, lukas kyle is one of my favorite characters from the series, now just to know that he dies somewhere along the line...

The dust around the silos is bad nanobots released by cleaners I thought?
We shall find out
Yes, that's correct
So essentially. When they go out to clean the glass they are releasing the bad nanobots? If no one cleaned the windows and just started walking all would be fine
@@PaulCotton the ‘argon’ or just gas in the show, is the bad nanobots. It fills the airlock before the outer door opens
So was only Atlanta hit, or was the whole world uninhabitable for decades?
The book reveals that Atlanta was hit. However it's not clear the extent of the blast.

I thought that the nuclear explosions happen with the opening of the DNC.
The constant animation of the fotos is really annoying and not necessary.
If silo 1 was in charge how didn’t they know about the toxic dust parameter ?
You will enjoy the books and find the answer there
In the TV show at least it is assumed this is known. Which is why they have a whole section on cleaning in their "bible".
Can’t believe Wafflehouse was behind the whole thing
This missses a lot of the nuances detailed in the books and in some instances is misleading. You whould just reading the books, there really good.
Is there another video that explains it more accurately? I tried reading the first book but the writing style was too boring for me.
What about the companion book “Stories”?
