Main thing that took me by surprise was driving on opposite side of the car was harder than I expected. I’m used to driving in the uk so cars here have right hand drive gears on left. In Spain it’s opposite way round and took a bit of getting used to. I was too far right in lane a few times cos of the position you are in car so needed more space on right than I’m used to. Also went to change gear with left hand a few times. It’s easy knowing everything is opposite way round but you can’t know what it feels like til you experience it. So if driving on opposite side of the car just remember you need to make sure there is more room on the passenger side. Driving on motorway and dual carriageways were good to get used to lane positioning.

Good starting video before travel to Spain.
