Bless you for doing this. There was a time in my life when my food, clothes and other needs were met because of caring and kind strangers like yourself. You're a gift and it means more than you know to someone who could only ever imagine getting a book in good condition and popular!
My favorite lil book fairy 🧚♂️ I just love watching your videos. Your vibe is always such a breath of fresh air. I’m so proud of your UA-cam journey. I still loved watching your Walmart clothing hauls back in the day *wink* To see you go from a neutral girlie with creams and beiges to a beautiful kaleidoscope of color, warms my heart 💜 Thanks for providing people with the opportunity to escape their reality through the joy of reading 🥰🥰🥰
@@ShawnaciSchroeder thanks for taking the time to reply I'm in the UK and just wanted you to know your positivity and joy is spreading worldwide to people you've never met
Love this idea! I’ve been trying to get through my physical TBR and every time I finish a book and I know I won’t want to reread it, I put it in a little library 😊 little libraries are my favorite way to grow my TBR too! Between the regular library, little libraries, and Libby; I don’t remember the last time I bought a book haha. Love the idea to thrift books for the little libraries though! I’ll have to do that soon 💕
you’re such a sweet heart for doing so much for your community!! 🤍😭you even put diverse reads which is amazing. this world does not deserve the queen shawnaci 👑🩷
Love this idea - you have inspired me to unhaul some of my books (especially now that my reading tastes of changed)! For fantasy recs, I would say "Legends & Lattes", "Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Fairies", "The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches", "The Night Circus", "The House in the Cerulean Sea", and "Divine Rivals". All of these are accessible and enjoyable for most people.
this video is so lovely - i never really thought about the little book libraries and how they stay stocked until now, will definitely keep in mind when clearing out the house!! :)
I get a lot of my books to donate a LFL'S at church rummage sales and library sales. Many times you can get bags full for not much money, plus the money they make goes for a good cause! I always keep a bag in my car too.❤❤❤
I give to 4 LFL near me on the regular. Love doing it. One is in front of the high school so I try to put romance in there and one is in front of a little grocery store and when I check my books are always gone. So glad others can enjoy them.
You could look into cozy fantasy, I’m not sure how new or old it is, but that’s definitely a thing now. Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree is one I can think of. I’ve heard mixed reviews but more good than bad. Also YA fantasy is a little more digestible too.
I wish I lived you there, oh my gosh how can I tell you the love about book of mine. But I don't have physical books but I have z library where I read....amazing😊
The Salvation Army I feel is where you get the best prices and you can fill up many more free libraries if you like. You are doing such a wonderful thing ❤
Young Adult/Fantasy Recs- Delicious Monsters; Blood Like Magic; Blood like Fate; and the Children of Blood & Bone series by Tomi Adeyemi; The Poison Heart; Beast of Prey; Skin of the Sea, Soul of the Deep.
Hi Shawnaci, what's the title of the purple book with the flowers on it? The cover on it looks super pretty! I couldn't see the name of the book or even the authors name, but just by the cover alone, made me interested!
How do I find free libraries in my area? I know there’s like an “official” little free library ap but I know other communities just have their own but I don’t know where or how to find them. Suggestions?
Great video! I really wanted to hear your thoughts on a book I’m currently reading called “Blessings” by Chukwuebuka Ibeh because you’ve inspired me to pick up more diverse reads! Let me know what you think ~
Loved the video! And btw your dress is gorgeous. I love the fact that you chose a variety of books to donate but i was wondering if you could also include some gay romance books? I feel like it would benefit especially people that might be in the closet since it can be nerveracking going to the store and buying those kinds of books themselves. I dont mean any harm with this comment, i just wanted to make a suggestion.🥰✨️ what you do is an amazing thing regardless of the books you chose to donate.💕
I love second hand. I thrift kids and teen and adult books with own money. I love those I do a kids book and teen and adult book giveway at applebees( 3701 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, LA 70002) i have given away 1200 books in 7 months
Why wouldn't you put any type of fantasy in there? Everyone has such different preferences. It shouldn't matter what type of book is put in there because someone will end up liking/loving it. I love fantasy and I'll read any type of fantasy. Though i am happy there is someone out there who just wants to give to everyone and let people have the opportunity to read.
@@ShawnaciSchroeder oh no, don't get me started on this....okay YA romantasy picks: a fragile enchantment by Allison Saft, divine rivals by Rebecca Ross YA dystopian fantasy picks: shatter me by Taherah Mafi, The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken YA (high) Fantasy: the Daevabad trilogy (city of brass) by Shannon Chakraborty, Legendborn by Tracy Deonn, Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas New adult romantasy: serpent and the wings of night by Carissa broadbent, heartless hunter by Kristen Cicccarelli, ACOTAR by Sarah J. Maas, A fate inked in blood by Danielle L. Jensen Adult (high) Fantasy: The Adventures of Amina Al Sarfi by Shannon Chakraborty, Lord of the rings by J R.R Tolkien, most things by Brandon Sanderson, poppy war by R.F Kuang (though this could be argued as new adult I think), anything by Robin Hobb Magical realism- the unmaking of June Farrow by Adrienne Young, ink blood sister scribe by Emma Törzs, Cozy fantasy: A Fellowship of Bakers and magic by J. Penner, Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree, can't spell treason without tea by Rebecca Thorne, Emily wilds encyclopedia of faeries by Heather Fawcett, the Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst (Aka way to many things but this is all I can think of right now.) Honestly, just look up booktok fantasy books and you'll find what most people want right now. I prefer to find recs lesser known but most of the things I've written down are more well known and/or newer releases. Plus like I said, what's good to someone will be bad to another so even if you randomly choose a book in a book store to put into a free little library someone will most likely find the home it was meant to be in.
You’re literally the Book Fairy for these little libraries🥹
The sweetest compliment 🥹🥹
You are so kind! Thank you for being such a good leader in the book community! ❤

Loads of YA fantasy series out now by diverse authors. And any that I've picked up have been pretty good so far. Might be harder to thrift them though

I haven’t read that one yet! Thanks for recommending!
Sometimes you can find good books at the Dollar Tree.
❤❤❤
What happened to your donation tab? I wanted to donate for books
I’m not sure! I didn’t take it away so I’ll have to see how to get it back! Thank you for being so kind 🥹
Here’s an idea. Why not ask for donations to be sent from your followers? That way you can still fill the library at a fraction of the cost
