I’ve been growing my hair out for 10 months it started off as a buzz cut around the sides and about 2 inches on top and now it’s almost reached the bottom of my neck. Wish my hair was down to my waist 😭😭😭
I have hair like yours. I'm thinking of getting this brush because my hair is so damaged. I think it has a lot to do with my brush. What about the 100% boar bristle? Which is more gentle? boar bristle and nylon combo or 100% boar bristle? My first priority is to brush with minimal damage. Second is for scalp treatment (like you demonstrated). Thanks.
love ur vid..great info. have a dupe from target with boar bristles and nylon bristles and heart it. i am natural and use it daily to remove shedded hair and promote hair growth.
For cleaning the brush, could I use a drop of dawn soap mixed with warm water instead of shampoo? Most shampoos have oils in them that coat the hair. Whereas dawn soap removes all oils including the oils from your hair that the brush soaked up.
That expensive boar hair brush is not a piece of dish ware. Why spend $200 on a natural hair brush to destroy it? That brush only remains viable by rejuvenating itself with your scalp oils. If you strip your boar hair brush of all oils, it will be destroyed. Once the brush is destroyed it will have microscopic jagged edges that rip your hair out. If you need a brush you can disinfect right now get a 100% plastic bristle one. God bless you.
@@doejohn6197 Use whatever you would use on a weave or human hair to keep it healthy. I use shampoo on mine. This brush comes with instructions on care too. Like I said if you need to pick up a plastic brush for the winter do so, and save this expensive one for another time.
@@howconnie okay I this is my first ever mason brush I’ve ever had and I want to treasure it as it deserves. So I’ve been searching everywhere to see which type of shampoo is best because there are so many out there. Most shampoo have oils in them and I know they seal the hair and prevent it from absorbing anything else so I was afraid to use those as I want the brush to absorb only my hair oils.
Prior to the pandemic I would have said, ‘Absolutely’, but recently I lamented the money I wasted on foolishness. This is an amazing brush, but I consider it grossly overpriced. I would purchase it again for $75 handcrafted in America. If it’s just a factory full of robot churning out brushes, my max is $20.
@@howconnie Thank you for your reply. You may be pleased to know that they´re handmade in England :-) But glad to know they´re good - nothing worse than wasting money on useless items - especially a brush because you can´t exactly re-sell it. Lol! Have a nice day.
I could not stop laughing at the image of a bird lodging in your hair. I use a Kent brush just like the Mason Pearson to give brush my sometimes itchy scalp.
Hi.. I think I want this brush. I'm natural and will pay for quality products. How is it? Is it hype or the HG? HOLY GRAIL..LOL. PLEASE respond ..thank you :0)
TheRew413 I got one of these brushes and they are pretty awesome!!!! They feel great on your scalp. Lol- my problem with this brush though is that it makes my hair kinda frizzy- it might just be my hair type though :/ I use it along with a regular brush and it works pretty well :3 hope that answered your question
I have hair past my waist
And it's painless to brush with this brush
It's amazing!
that's great

It is a nice brush, very gentle, and it feels good.
Loved this video! Great review
Glad you enjoyed it! God bless you
You took me out with that “Some bird desperate for a tree” comment 😂😂😂
Laurahanna Starzzz 😆 God bless you
Is there a brushing tool for the brushing tool?
I have been wearing twist lately so I rarely use it.
It depends on your regime, I went on a no heat challenge, so I rarely use it. The comb in this video is holy grail.
Ok ..thanks
i'm wondering about "the stuff" that you are removing from your sculb?

Hi thanks for doing this review.
Do you still use this brush and do you still like it after 9 months?
Question, why can't you just pull the hair out of the brush with your hand? Will it mess up the bristles?
You can pull the hair out of the brush with your hand. But the manufacturer provides a tool that’s supposed to make the brushes last longer.
What are you wondering about, I would need more information to address it
Do you still love it?
I moved and lost it. But I loved it til then, it’s just expensive
Lol @ "Hey! A moving tree!"

Amber Amici-Walker did you just say a moving tree? You are so rude
