Hi Ananta, I am self preparing from UA-cam lectures and I have a 2 year old Arun Sharma Cat books. Is there any difference between the latest edition and the older edition? Do these books change drastically after every year?

Hey! Putting my experience here if it helps. I attended demo classes for both TIME and IMS and researched several coaching institutes. After research I joined IMS and I am happy with my choice because of the two main reasons: 1. IMS mocks are the closest to CAT whereas TIME mock tests are harder than CAT which at times scares the candidates. 2. Secondly, as IMS is less commercialised teachers focus more on one to one. I can go to class anytime and the teacher would keep a class just for me to resolve my doubts. Over this Ims has a referral policy which when applied gives you 10k discount.
Offline coaching is a total waste of money it's just like using a matchstick to burn yours/parents hard earned money. Instead go for online coaching like SoGo100 by Mission CAT. Also you can use their free YT concept videos to clear basics and practice the concepts learned on some good practice material.

It depends completely on the individual. Coaching helps you remain disciplined but if you are self disciplined and motivated you can study from free videos as well

No for LRDI there is no one perfect book. You need to solve a lot of previous year questions and mocks for practice
