This is exactly what I needed to hear! I just moved into a new home and I'm in such a rush to furnish and decorate it but I know I shouldn't be. I keep trying to remind myself to just enjoy the process.

Awesome video!! I’m about to move to very first house and even I knew I don’t have to buy everything right away but I keep thinking what should I get and felt like overwhelmed, to remind myself it’s okay to keep using what we have and find my style! Thank you so much!!❤️

We are getting married soon! Going to live in on-campus apartment for a year while we finish up school, then move into a new house. Would you recommend buying cheap fixes (garage sale used table, coffee table, couch, desk, etc) for our apartment, and wait till we have a house to get permanent items? Or should we go ahead and start buying nicer items we know will go together to save money in long run. I’m just worried about them not fitting our house in a year.

i currently live in an apartment with my fiance and are in the process of buying a home. we lived in this apartment for a year and a half now. we got furniture that fit the size of our apartment bc in reality, homes are typically larger than apartments, and the furniture will most likely not be what you want in your home. that being said, we are not getting all new furniture right away either. patience will be key. we need to figure out exactly what we want details wise and then once financially able to get those things, then we will do so. not that we aren’t financially able to now, but we dont want to rush getting expensive items we dont really like. just bc we need to “finish” the space. we will take our time getting it all together. just my opinion! it worked well for us doing it this way.

Those small accessories and knickknacks look bad anyway. They're just clutter and cost money.

Oh you mean I shouldn’t throw away all my old furniture? Because I was gonna dump it all in a ditch. Seriously are you from Mars or something? Who throws away all their old furniture?

I was literally going to throw it all away. Buying everything new. Just put it in the curb someone picks it up or tide garbage truck takes it
