The plaque area at the bottom of the Ruby rank is pretty wide, maybe they made it like that to accommodate t500 leaderboard ranks 👀
There really is such a disparity between low and high diamond, I feel like we need an entire extra rank with four divisions (above or below diamond) in addition to a top 500/1000 rank
Yesterday was my first day on The Finals. I've played a good bit of Tribes, COD MW, multiple Battlefields, Overwatch 1, Apex, R6 Siege, Valorant, and Hunt Showdown. I mention all these because, know each game is doing different things, but the Finals has a great variety of features that are done really well in a unique package. From what I understand, the AI in game announcers get hate, but I think it adds alot of life and gives the game an identity. I'm surprised the game isn't more popular, but the only reason I played was because it was free and on my watch list from when it released. So, with that, from a new player's perspective, one of the biggest things holding it back from being huge is because no one knows about it. I had a great time. Obviously it hasn't had a chance to test against time, but, right now, it's now my FPS of choice.
I am hyped for whats coming this game has so much potential

i always find myself spawning over 150m away this is something they need to adddress, spawns are terrible.
Let’s not forget about the occasional solo spawn literally directly in front of another team.

And if there is like 1 third of the obj time remaining you spawn really really far, like 200+ m
All that said, this is meant to make defending the cashout easier, it wouldn't be fun if you had to fight the team you wiped again after 20 secs, they spawn far so they take time to get to the cashout and 3 fights occur during the cashout instead of like 5
@@AdjustSZN it would be cool if they added small vehicles to the map. I believe they showed off a small scooter or moped. That could be added to help with the far spawns
it's supposed to be balanced around being team wiped when you have a cashout, you get spawned far away so you dont just get back in 3 seconds and the enemy doesnt have a chance to steal, if you get teamwiped you should lose the cashout
Ottr respect to you for staying with what you like and not just doing what’s easy for views. I’m sure it sucks seeing the numbers go down but it will pay off. I think the potential of this game is off the charts. I think a faster pace gamemode will help get the finals to become increasingly popular
Back in BF 3 days we had fast paced conquest in Close Quarters DLC. Time needed to take the point was like 3-5 sec. The finals could have such a gamemode, even on existing maps
The Finals need official ESports Tournaments so pro teams can compete during live streams with commentary.

Its not in the books right now because you can't even spectate in a Custom Game. Also yeah, the playerbase is still waaaaaaaay too small
That'll never happen. They need to adjust how invites work imo. That's one of the key issues in building a team online. Until then, many will continue to avoid because its not exactly fun when you're paired with people who aren't good or don't know what they're doing. Other times it's people focusing solely on the stupid challenges objectives.

@@OoGuillotine me coming to the setting to make a colorblind change to adjust the color difference, and then the objectives are not in the right color. Dont forget it's killing your eyes.

I really hope they add an Emerald/Amethyst rank for top 5000 or 1000 so it gives you big cusshion to land back on if you decide to try and go for Ruby.
If Embark is reading this, I absolutely love playing this game! Been absolutely hooked and been running games with friends since day 1! Keep going and optimizing the game, because it’s soo much fun to play.
it doesn't matter how much marketing they do, they already had THE BIGGEST marketing they will ever have at launch, ALL the top FPS streamers/content creators that tried out the game, tens of millions of views across youtube videos/streams within the first week over 200k people came and over 190k left, the game got a player base, and once that player base was there, they left because the gameplay was poor, its unbalanced down to its core foundation and absolutely no comp scene, whole structure needs a complete rework which they have no intention of doing, which is the MAIN reason a FPS title has longevity, no one plays games casually 12-16 hours a day, and that is where this game fails, its a mesh of a bunch of trendy things and merged into one pile of mess.
I really hope they add a mode with no teams and the one who has the most kills in a certain time wins. If they want to keep the cash / money deposit theme then they can make it very similar to the Digital Money mode except it is solo and you dont have to get the coins and deposit them but instead a certain amount of money is automathically transfered to your account when you get a kill and a penalty amount is substracted if you get killed, and they could make the respawns faster, this way the focus is in going rampat and killing / stabbing everything that moves. They could even make it a temporary mode like Therminal Attack is right now to test it first and if it works then they can keep it.
I LOVE the currents modes, but i feel like a simple mode where you can play solo and the focus is in killing could be really fun too, specially for some casual folks that are hesitant to play the game because they find it too complex or they think they wouldn't have fun if they dont have a friend to play with.

I disagree completely with no need for additional ranks. The skill level between players who meet d4 and those at d1 is wildly different. There should be another rank. Yes this will make it harder to get to the top, but the problem now is that because so many people get into diamond, you have high diamonds in plat lobbies. I get d1 and d2 while I'm plat3. Its unreasonable to lose rank while in these types of lobbies since I'm up against people who are FAR higher of a skill level then me. If I get hard stuck then let me reach a rank where its actually at my skill level. I shouldn't be unable to progress past plat if I play at a diamond 4 level, but not at a diamond 1 level.
The match making definitely got better but it needs work and splitting up the peak-skill players away from the good but not quite peak players would help a ton. I see plats who are WAY worse than me and some who are extremely good, even better than me. This range shouldn't happen as often as it does.
Also the matches do not feel consistent in any way. When playing Apex, all matches at a certain rank felt similar. With the finals, you sometimes play lobbies where you're somehow cracked compared to everyone else, or suddenly you're getting bent over by virtually every player in the lobby. This NEVER happened in other ranked games that I've played. This tells me that the ranked system is currently failing. Like I said, its better than before but needs tweaking
I think a solid replay system would be amazing for really good clips and stuff, would probably boost the game on socials and stuff
The game needs competition so a new sweaty rank would be cool, they gotta do something with 3rd team and 3rd stack tho. Like give extra money defending the cashbox , so getting one as a 3rd team is not that strong.

I've recently got 3 more friends into the game and they absolutely love it, spread the word people!
Solo bank it had 3sec respawn time and was probably the best mode I've played in the game just because of the constant action, I didn't really care about the objective in it, all I did was chase the action all match, if they add free for all it would be fire
A previous comment mentioned this, but if they did add a conquest style mode back in the day on older battlefield games where it was close quarters. It could draw more people in. After playing the playtest for Combat Champions I think it could work in my opinion.
I feel like they're going to show off ARC Raiders at summer games fest, but maybe even both games. that would be insanely hype if they showed off both games back-to-back. they'd steal the show

I feel like a top 500 would be perfect for the ruby rank and in return, make diamond 1 more accessible.
I’ve been top 500 since early season 2 and I wish I could grind more, cause diamond 1 is already like 4,9% of the ranked player base just let them push for another rank like top 500.
So what map would you like to see next? Id personally like to see a tropical map like Miami or something.

@@alicatdotcombest advice for that is to get familiar with the ping system (it shows range) and a good ranged weapon you like. Pop in to power shift and start doing damage.

Played in beta and the start or launch left, then the game is fun, but stuff seemed so op me, and the lads just dropped it i must look back into this
I honestly think Terminal attack was a prefect addition b/c it's so different. Higher stakes, more tactical and satisfying cutches.

The biggest reason game isnt popular is the Sunk cost fallacy. Many of my friends love the finals but they don't play it regularly cuz they already have so many hours in valo and apex for example

Terminal attack is great, the problem isn't the game mode, it's the player count which is limiting the amount of game modes they can have in the game at any one time.

It is not the player count, it is the game itself, if the game is good they will play, if the devs are shit they will leave, bad game development and turning on a blind eye yeah that is Embark Studios many negative feedbacks on how they approached Arc Raiders development
The Finals is a great game I played it a lot, but it is just explosions and stuff, cashout then die repeat cashout, it doesn't have personality as a game, something like valorant, or overwatch which has specific characters with some story involved. Characters are what players usually want.
@@flam1113 Arc Raiders isn't even released yet, so not sure what you are talking about. They have done a great job with The Finals, so I'm sure they will do well with Arc Raiders too. It's just completely false to say that The Finals has no personality. The music, the world building, the maps, the announcers, the brands, world destruction, great movement, fun loadouts, etc.. Saying that "hero characters" are required for a game to be successful is an insanely untrue claim. I played Overwatch a ton, and the game is dying for good reason.

This is one of the few games I've seen where players are consistently clamoring for marketing to be done as much as balance patches
I always advocate for strong assault rifles on the medium class because it makes the gameplay faster and punishes players that are in bad positions and playing recklessly hopefully they make the rifles stronger again (revert Fcar)
Any other console players struggling to get into Ranked matches. I can queue for more than an hour and not get into a ranked match. It is sooooo annoying
Yeah, I played with crossplay off since launch until about 2 weeks ago. The long queue times were getting too annoying. Now that crossplay is turned on the queue times are really quick...usually under a minute.

I think team death match is a horrible Idea for the game. Rogue Company's Devs added Deathmatch and it cannibalized the player base. It's not really fair to compare this game with that but maybe a variation on the already established bank it mode where you have two teams of 5 or 6 and each team has a cash goal to reach with only one terminal and two cash boxes that spawn.
The game mode should be called Millionaire. The goal is to cashout a million dollars with every death giving you coins as well as two cash boxes on the field while both teams fight o hold control over the one terminal as well. Maybe this could have a default 10 second respawn cooldown or maybe a lower cash goal. Cash will be distributed between best to worst player accordingly on the winning team
i got burned out of the game, came back and realized they nerfed light cloak and heavy barrier. i could put in the time to figure out what's good now but xdefiant is around the corner, so maybe i just won't
Playing Xdefiant made me realize how much of a gem The Finals is. I found XD to be so vanilla and boring.

man, I don't really care that much about the new season, since we got no more nerf after nerf, at classes that weren't broken, light became super weak, fcar barely does any dmg against H. I got bored playing light and to be killed by the flame thrower, by the charge missile, the tournament is only about HHM or MMH mostly with heal. For the first time in a while the game became very boring and frustrating, after I reached diamond I found no pleasure in the game when it's all about broken H all I want is a little balance

Kinda. If you return it's damage then it's the best whepon by far again. So it's tough
@kotasake That's why I figured they should nerf the fire rate and mag size, so it's an actual Heavy AR. That way, it forces players to be more decisive on their shots, and they get more bang for their buck.
I think most of the guns need buffs. TTK in this game was already long to begin with. Now, with all the nerfs, nothing feels powerful or good to use anymore.

I hate that I'm actually gonna mention this out, but I think the Finals might die if they dont change the playstyle of the game itself, shifting towards hero based shooter would be more ideal than just Light, Medium, and Heavy. Also Embark doesnt listen to the community, just look at how they ruined Arc Raiders genre not only as an extraction but also made it a TPS

In the context of the Titanfall/Apex lore, yes it makes sense. However, if you don't know anything about the game or the backstory yet, it's a pretty weird thing to have a rank called "Predator". Mainly due to the potential immediate word association with something like child predator or whatever. It's not the first thing that comes to my mind, but I see how it could happen.
Still think the game would have a massive surge of new players if they could manage “old gen” instead of “new gen” Ik it’s time to move on but idk about you guys but most people Ik are on an old gen console, people know about the game and have told me it looks fun but that they don’t have a the current console

With it being Ruby I assume it would be between Diamond and Platinum but that might be due to me playing R6 (which has ranks in the order lowest to highest being copper, bronze, silver, gold, platinum, emerald, diamond, and champion) and the fact irl diamonds are rarer than irl rubies.

1 map is not enough for season
1 map is like as big as 3 maps in any other game like cod, combine that with the fact that each map has different variants and the the entire thing is destructible. 1 map is more than fair in a game like this.
