This is such a terrific launch. The research, the historical commentary, the background of the Space Castle itself. This is a leveling up from the podcast, and I'm here for it.
Though i was born in the mid 80s i am more a 90s kid though i still love a lot of cartoons and movies from the 80s. My favorite theme to the cartoons from the 90s that i was able to watch was X-Men and am so thrilled of Disney reviving the series in a continuation.
Dude, the 90s X-Men theme is an all-time banger! I might have to do a 90s intro video at some point. There's so many banging themes and intros, like Spider-Man, Power Rangers, Doug. Thanks so much for watching!
The 80s were the best times to be a kid, I was lucky to be born during the 80s. Thundercats and Transformers were truly great shows to watch. One show that should've been mentioned is Dino-Riders.
Editing for TMNT was often rushed to get shows out on time for airing, and this caused quite a lot of color mistakes from the animators. It was very common to see a shot of one color bandanna change to another in the next single cut then go back to its correct color in the next switch.
100%. There's also a hilarious error in I think the second episode, where they're all on a rooftop, and Leonardo opens up a hatch and climbs down... but he's also still standing there, at the same time. They forgot to remove the one frame before they animate him climbing. 🤣
I'm still wishing for a return of SilverHawks to Toonami. I mean, they brought back Duck Tails, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (and all of the annoying retcons to go with them), and ThunderCats. I missed them so much. 😢
Up till maybe before 2006, Pizza Hut was still good. But some of my 80's weekday afternoon memories (from my kindergarten days) ...were looking forward to watching Heathcliff and Dennis the Menace when I came home from school. And stayed tune to G.I.Joe or Superfriends, that came on after the 1 o' clock Japanese monster movie during summer vacation. Though with the surprising Mickey Mouse and Friends Halloween special Disney Channel announced, Disney really should find a way of having Mickey appeal to all audiences (than just preschoolers) if he's wanting to be kept around.
The Mickey cartoons with Chris Diamantopoulos were a step in that direction. They were pretty great. Heathcliff and Dennis the Menace both ruled - great call! Excellent theme songs, too.
@@spacecastleshow *camera looking at him alive* *camera switches to Jason Statham reacting* *camera switches to Burt Reynolds dead* it’s so amazingly dumb lol.
The kids still say "lit", right?

Thank you so much, Dani! This feels like the direction Space Castle needed to go, and I'm proud of how this video turned out!

There is only one intro that can rival the Thundercats intro…the intro from G.I. Joe the Movie! That intro was incredible.

Dino Riders frickin' RULED! Buuuut... is it an all-time great intro? Up for debate! Thanks so much for watching and tossing your hat in the ring!

Brilliant. Love it!!!
Thanks! Much appreciated!

I would love a SilverHawks reboot so bad. Copper Kid was my dude!
Goldbloom swearing got a good chuckle
He's sassy.
I love cartoons
Heck yeah, dude!
Yes. The occasionally clothed Thundercats...
The built-in underpants still confuse me.
I couldn't help but notice you're really good at YouTubing Deets
I couldn't help but notice I love you.

Wow. I had no idea the animators from Thundercats went on to do some of my favorite anime.
Yeah, it's kinda crazy! The level of talent that worked on Thundercats' intro is staggering.

@@Beeromancer I think Burt just fell asleep filming that scene, and they re-wrote it on the spot.
@@spacecastleshow Lol. Yes!
But what about Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors!?
The theme song is dope as hell, but the intro... always just felt like clips of episodes spliced together. That song, though.
