So touken ranbu is a video game but the characters/voice actors are singers who make music' what's the story of touken ranbu if there is no story then I'll have to wait until the anime
There isn't a "story" per se, but a basic outline of the setting of the game. The player is a Saniwa sage bringing historical swords to life to fight against those who are trying to change history's events. That's the gist of it, pretty much. So the characters are personifications of swords found in real life (With some exceptions, but I'm not a sword history person so don't ask me XD). It's an online browser game.
Also, the people that are singing are not the voice actors. They are called "Utaite". They do song covers and post them on Nico Nico Douga. There are also a few on UA-cam. This cd is basically filled with image songs. In a way, it's like a theme song. You get an idea about the personalities and such of the characters.
An example would be the song on 6:14. The character is Namazuo Toushiro. The song is called "Kibou no Uta" (Song of Hope). Before the song begins they show a quote from each character and Namazuo's was "I won't look back in the past!" which shows that he is optimistic even in times of was against the Kebiishi (those that are trying to change the past).
His song translates to:
"Sing, Sing! Let's sing"a song of Hope! Take my hand, and lets take a step of happiness. Run, run to anywhere. Go straight and cut through the past. I'll take your hand and take you with me. Forward, forward. To the future. I want to tell you that there's nothing to fear. The sky is clear and birds take flight."
