Of all the many many solos by Joel on UA-cam, this is still my favourite - it just has everything. Unbelievable fast passages, quotes, blues and you just never know where he’s going to go with it (well the first time hearing!). Outstanding.

Completely fantastic, however, I'd add that the excellent scat solo was written out beforehand. Thus is not a fault tho - as it is a great, perfectly structured solo. . .BTW most of Monk's tunes lend themselves to lyrics.
