Have you tried the Litter Champ? It's very similar but there is less plastic waste in their packaging.
I wish you showed how you take out the plastic bag when it's full. Lots of people said it is harder to remove it.
It is more difficult because of the extra weight but the process is the same as the original Litter Genie. Check out my comparison video for more about the differences between the LG products. Thanks for watching!
Just looking at it, it would seem to be annoying to use - you need to pull the lever to open it while holding the full pooper-scooper but if you’re pulling the sliding bit, the whole thing will move….is that not the case? I’m considering buying one but they’re much more expensive here in Australia.
I don't find it annoying at all to use. I can't say if you will or not. I do think you have one misconception about how it works. You deposit the waste into the top and THEN pull the slide out to allow it to drop into the bag below.
Is this model the XL or the XL plus? Thanks!

@KittyHelpDesk I just bought The XL plus. I hope Target refills fit. It, not, that is okay as well.
Does any smell escape throughout the day with it sealed?
Not that I've noticed, and I have a really sensitive nose (for a human 😹).
