i agree!!! i'm a long-time subscriber. i've learned so much from unmesh! years ago, i cleaned a private international school, and the head of the innovation center (computers & tech) randomly brought up his dilemma of needing to teach his students photoshop, but not knowing a good way, since he didn't use it himself. i enthusiastically shared the piximperfect channel and why unmesh was the best teacher on all of youtube. no doubt he's been recommending this channel to thousands of students every year since then!
EXPORT as 16bit ProPhoto or Adobe RGB as a starting point. The results will be significantly better with this as a foundation. Convert to SRGB when completed. GREAT tutorial!
Awesome Method. If you want to get this effect and avoid hotspots straight out of camera, best to use a polarising filter when capturing your images. It really saves a lot of time.
What I really appreciate about this channel is how good things are explained, i've been using photoshop for a long time and i'm always learning from watching your process. From techniques, mindset and angles that we can tackle a problem when it comes to images. Thank you for sharing your expertise and experience with the community.
Great stuff! I had some large ugly dark spots on a snowy forground so I'm hoping by taking a similar approach to the dark spots to remove or blend them. Your videos and knowledge is mind blowing!
My best method for this at the moment is select highlights with lasso/colour range > create clipping mask on duplicated layer of original > feather > select pixels in mask > remove tool / spot heal sampling all layers
I've needed this video for years already! Thank you, I'll definitely implement it next time! Until now I've done healing brush/remove tool and then reducing opacity. Works pretty well but it could change the skin texture if there are a lot of highlights.
Thx, this is brilliant, works fantastic! However there is always a little telltale sign that something is just a little wrong. I tried and tried, it looked fantastic, but it seems impossible to get the blend 100%, no matter what I did. Then I did everything you did, but carried on in camera raw. Using the new "point color" (btw what a tool!!!) in the color mixer, I matched the color in the original hotspots, and adjusted so i could blend to perfection even @ 400%. It's magic, nothing less !!!
Sheer brilliance! Please keep up with this new series. Although you've gone over some of the topics in other videos, I have learned even more new techniques just from the first 2 videos presented. Thank you!

since i was never taught photoshop and had to figure out everything on my own, i would always create a duplicate layer, use the spot healing tools to get rid of all the white and match the color around it, then lower the opacity. i did somewhat recently see a tutorial using selective color, adjusting whites (i think), and then changing to relative or absolute (can't recall which one, whatever looks good), and then opacity changes if needed. will definitely try this method out and see if i like it.
Re your comment at the end about using different colours for different areas, you can do it simply by painting the colours there instead of using a solid colour layer.
hello unmesh your the best guy tought photoshop to people keep rocking , i recently started learning and i am glad that you did a beginner photoshop course that reallly really helped me ,now i am into a small trouble after finshinh that begginer course i was not able to choose what to learn next from your videos can you creat a playlists accordingly to lear photoshop step by step ?
I think the best way to learn is in context. I assume you are using Photoshop to edit your own images. In that case, keep shooting and editing your projects. Then when you find a problem you cannot solve, try to see if you can find a new solution in Photoshop. Photoshop is amazing and really interesting, but at the end of the day, it a tool to help you do the work.
I swear Indian teachers are so brilliant and talented. Bcz of your tutorials I'm earning good money from fiverr ❤. Thank you so much sir. Your student from Pakistan 💐
Sir i hope you can teach me, how to change colour of some shoe or hoody mockup using pantone colour without destroy the texture, thanks for anyone too who can share to me how to solve this problem
I don't know why you used the "Channels" to create the selection. You could have obtained the same result by just Control+clicking. Maybe I am wrong, please let me know! Excellent method, excellent tutorial!
No! This is the reason why you still need Photoshop- because it has all these very advanced features and workflows. Lightroom is more suited to, for example, documentary photographers, who do not need to retouch or manipulate images heavily.
@@Skabargas and, in this case of the video, the glow were exactly were models now use them. I don't like anyway. Oily skin and inner glow done exaggerated both look the same.

Great technique. I do a similar technique using the Luminance Range masks in Lightroom. Works really well if Photoshop is a little intimidating😅!
