For me, as much as I love the idea of RAAM’s stage on a train, as a reference to the final stage of the first game, my idea is in a ruined city, where it can be a mix of Rebel Outpost and the Arena Of Judgement, Arbiter’s stage, where you have the COG and the Locusts fighting in the background, and when you do the Ultra, a building in the background gets collapsed because of a Seeder rising from the ground, and then when you continue the Ultra with a recapture, you then see the Seeder gets burned by the Hammer Of Dawn From what I see, Microsoft doesn’t get a fuck about this franchise, and if they did, they would’ve continued long ago, and the last update we had barely counts
The problem is he isnt as memorable to most people because his boss fight was a joke whilst Raam had the hardest fight in the series (on Insane anyways ) [Though I can see why some people might have struggled more with Miraah TBH
Have you seen his boss fight m8 its a joke besides Raam had more backstory and a huge part of the story from GOW he has more options and things that can made into movesets if you want skroge in a other fighting game as a guest character go make a Crossover with all fighting games heck combine other fighting mechianes Into it but soon there will a chance
Terrence Hunt With Skorge, he was more of a filler enemy fight and wasn't as impactful on the lore and world of Gears. Plus, I think there is the issue of balance, compared to how his Chainsaw blades will have to be extremely underpowered for the sake of balance. To flat out compare the abilities of RAAM to Skorge. The Kryll that RAAM can summon make much more sense mechanically for a very unique play style. His instinct meter, shield and overall design gives the developers A LOT more to play with. What if the Kryll could just be a flat out shield like Glacius, could the Kryll be a basic projectile that could be the most durable. Skorge is average while RAAM has a lot more to offer in terms of being a fan favorite and gameplay mechanics.
Skorge wasn't as well known as RAAM. Sure, Skorge does have that dual chainsaw staff, but with enough skill an practice (bare minimum, years), anyone could use it, whereas RAAM was not only a boss character, but he is the only known Locust that can control the Kryll. So in the end, I do believe RAAM made a better fit than any other gears charactrr ever could, but hey, that's just an opinion, MY OPINION. Thanks for reading. (MatPat reference because why not. lol)
Theronking18 Well, we didn't really know much about RAAM until Gears of War: Judgement Day. All he did at the time of the first game was kill two people, walking in slow motion, executing the two guys in slow motion, and then we had his boss fight. Skorge's appearance was pretty consistent throughout the game. We learned he was the high Kantus priest, he was the only one who could control the massive, city eating, 10-mile long Riftworm, and his body armor made him immune to bullets (like RAAM's Kryll swarm did), etc.
Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn Ok, you got that right. They do seem pretty even, but the one thing that RAAM did have a one 1-up over Skorge is that you actually got to play as RAAM in the RAAM's Shadow DLC in not only multiplayer, but in campaign as well.
But that's what made him so boss like. Think about it, the first GoW game and you just happen to see a menacing force like RAAM walking. You knew in your right mind that this guy was someone not to mess with. I just think since he was like, the first boss in the first ever Gears game made him so likable and they executed it perfectly in terms of introducing him. He killed off Kim right away lol your own team member!
Disappointed in his lack of stage TBH, if anyone hasnt seen it UA-cam a video of the last stage (aboard the train) of Gears 1 in the remaster and that stage is GORGEOUS it could have been amazing as a level, even if the backgrounds were a bit barren to save framerate
Or in a ruined city where you have the COG fighting the Locusts in the background, and when you do the Ultra, a Seeder rises from the ground, and when you continue the Ultra with a recapture, the Seeder gets hit by the Hammer Of Dawn

think Zangief with poison. use qcf+k to counter single attacks, 3x punch to set poison, and throw into st.mk>st.lk>qcb+p. his command throw has startup invulnerability at 2 frame start up and it hurts. use it.
RAAM is a true grappler. The thing to focus with RAAM is trying to use command grabs, flip outs and grabs to get your opponent to let up enough so you can open a combo. Just remember that RAAMs Kryll Storm (Instinct) is incredible yet difficult to manage. It can ruin your combos so familiarize yourself with his AD animations so that you keep from dropping a combo. If you lockout an opponent while in instinct with two bars of meter, you can very well get a 90% or higher damaging combo. Patience is key with RAAM so Zoners have it easy but if you get in, don't let up and watch for any opportunity. RAAM is medium/high-skilled character to use, so keep at it.

Utilize his command grabs and his rush attack
+Niko Murphy thanks for the tips.
+Tiger Spirit DEFINITELY. This helped a lot, and I'm actually able to keep up with more experienced players.
