    Looks good. I just got this rod and have not had a chance to use it yet. Intend to do some shore jigging with it. Pairing with a stradic 4000

      i think 4000-5000 size would be a good fit for this rod especially around 250 gr range. Mine certate 4000HD is slightly heavier 350gr i assume you get tired easily working with jigs after a while. The rod weighs 180gr so below most of the 60gr casting shore jigging rods in the market.

    Thank you for this video, have you tried this rod with tide minnow slim 175/200 (weight 27-30 grams), or other long jerk around 30 grams? How it goes? Thanks

      I haven’t tried with long slim lures but I know these kind of lures from other rods I use and I think it will manage just well.
      One thing to note though it might slightly perform less in long distance casting compared to 2 piece yamaga rods like ballistic which have better repulsion but still better choice then a shore jigging rod

    How was the balance of the YB rod to your certate, your reel is just 5grams heavier than a 23 Saltiga 4000, im planning to get one but I dont know if its balance with YB Early mobile 96mmh.

      It feels solid for jigging old but gold reel I love it cause it is more sturdy then new reels and it is basically a 6000 size reel.
      If you aim to use your 96mmh for casting lures and light jigging then I suppose a non sw Stella 5000 would be a perfect match.
      Can’t say about saltiga 4000 much haven’t tried that one yet

    How heavy have you cast with the rod? I saw that its rated to 38 gram but on the video, I saw the tester guy casting heavier than that?

      10-60g rod

    • @InfinityFishing
      @InfinityFishing  Рік тому +2

      this is 10-60gr rated i have tested 7-60 gr weights with the rod. i prefer not using heavier lures then 50gr but for jigs you can easily cast 60gr with this rod and give action

    So far you like the rod? Am thinking of purchasing this for shore jigging as well....

    • @InfinityFishing
      @InfinityFishing  2 роки тому +2

      I only had one chance time off using it so far I liked it, it really is a functional rod with great range so sort of speaking as a all range long casting rod.
      I prefer not to exceed 40 gr jigs to avoid long term damage but easily can throw occasional 60gr jigs and stick baits or swimming baits with some care.
      One note I noticed the middle section ferrule can get loose easily So it’s better to check every once in a while to avoid fractures happening while casting the rod
      Compared to my Shimano rods it was quite easy to take apart the sections after 2 hours of fishing

      Ooo I’m thinking of throwing 50g jigs with this! You think it’ll hold up?

    How's this rod for shore jigging

    • @InfinityFishing
      @InfinityFishing  Рік тому

      i think it has a lot of potential easily manages 60gr jigs but you can feel that it is not designed for shore jigging as well , if you compare to a proper shorejigging rod which is about 200-250 gr lightest this rod is only 180 gr but still you feel like easily strained after a few fast jigging attempts because it is a little stiffer designed for casting..
