@@grandcapo6449 Because the scammer didn't give the money for the first exchange, that's how the scam works. They make you preoccupy with counting the money to make the cashier focus on another thing rather than the transaction. We call it distraction. I had an 80 year old black man with a cane saying he was blind and needed help. My guard was completely down but ended up catching on a nice he started to push his luck. Guy coulda got me if he didn’t push it and a lightbulb went off in my head..

That's when I knew he was full of shit. He had then asked for $100 but I closed the cashier and said no that's it.
I was having trouble figuring this out too for the people having trouble... The final result is the Customer gives him 10 dollars of his own money to get 20 from the store.
I used to do this to my friends in high school after watching the real hustlers... It used to be extremely funny watching them agree with the math as the money in their hands shrink.
Seems pretty easily avoidable. Just count stuff up and youll be good. I mean even just that first part, you simply dont give them the money before you count, unsure why anyone would. That'd be like them paying for an item, giving you money and you assume they gave you enough, only to realize they were 30 dollars short and already out the door with said item.
Simple way to deal with it. Tell them to place the money on the counter and use that as the your “escrow” while doing any suspicious transactions. If they try to touch the money, then stop the process. Normal people understand and scammers get suspicious. Otherwise, only do the original transaction and end it there.
Why am i so confused He gives 8 ones to cashier Cashier gives him 10 dollar bill Cashier says “i only got 8” so u give cashier 2 more bucks to make the 10 n then use the 10 they gave u n ask for 20 Wouldn’t the store have lost 10 not 8?? R did i miss something? Im extremely bad at math obviously lol
I walk in store But $2 item with a 10 n store gives me 8 ones I give store 8 ones n they give me a 10 dollar bill They notice i only gave 8 so i gove 2 more to make it even So now i have the 10 bill n they have the 10 ones because i made it right by giving him the $2 on top of the 8 I then point at the 10 omes i gave cashier n hold up the 10 they gave me and ask for a 20 They give me a 20 I gave them 10 ones in the end So os it not they lost ten instead of 8?
The scammer gave 10 ones and the clerk gave him 10 dollars. But then the scammer asked for a 20 with the his 10 and the clerks 10. Pocketing an extra 10 dollars. And since the clerk didnt complete the transaction he thought that the 10 ones he were holding was the scammers money.
To avoid the scam just count the money he gives you before you give him a 10 back. That way he won’t confuse you into giving him more money. So when he gets the 9 dollars he should’ve made sure it was 10 dollars before giving him a 10 dollar bill. And after both people have the 10 dollars it’s over.
Fungal Cream No: I don‘t fuckin‘ get it!!! I live in Ukraine & they always do that. With every single fucking purchase!!! To me money doesn’t belong to me. (it is not mine) So: maybe that is why I don‘t understand how it works.
Firt I dindt get it, but pay atention on the transaction. When the guy gave him 2 extra dollars, the transaction was closed, but he also gave the cashier 10 dollars which now has 20 in his hands, but 10 are from last transaction, so the guy got a 10 dollars bill for a 20

Why not just stop them next time and play dumb when they ask for another transaction. Say "wait, I'm kinda slow, let me get a pen and paper or use my phone calculator to keep track. I don't wanna change scam you by accident and lose my job"
This just happened to me TWICE. I knew something was off but I couldn't notice it at the moment, and I didn't want to be a dick about it so i shrugged it off until I went on break. Then I decided to do some research and realized that I just got scammed

Same here
I was having trouble figuring this out too for the people having trouble... The final result is the Customer gives him 10 dollars of his own money to get 20 from the store.
I used to do this to my friends in high school after watching the real hustlers... It used to be extremely funny watching them agree with the math as the money in their hands shrink.
Never let the customer guide you and never let them take money out of your hands.
Money in.....check...... money out...... stop.
“And I’d go walk out of the store right now”
Yeah i could never do that im too stupid 😂
Simple way to deal with it. Tell them to place the money on the counter and use that as the your “escrow” while doing any suspicious transactions. If they try to touch the money, then stop the process. Normal people understand and scammers get suspicious. Otherwise, only do the original transaction and end it there.
Thx for teaching me your ways🙏🏼 ran out of money for that 🍃
Does anyone want to do this just to see if it actually works every time they do a transaction? I don't see any risk in it and you may score.
He says across the country, meaning USA, but two of the videos were Canadian...
For real lol!!
lol. Someone can't add and subtract. You aren't $8.00 short; you're $10.00 short.
"We are showing you what to watch out for" Or... "We are teaching you how to do this to others"... ???
I just lost £70 by this scam 😬
1:56 the store is NOT down $8 wtf. the store is down $10 why would this explanation video get this wrong? ridiculous
This happened to me yesterday at my work.
Did he get away or what?
Life_Or_Death it happened to me yesterday and I owe the store $250
What happened?
it happened to me today and the dude took 300. not my proudest moment
Stereo sound much?!
This is how i've been paying my bills for years now.
Still don't see it after soo many replays lmao
Nvm
Why am i so confused
He gives 8 ones to cashier
Cashier gives him
10 dollar bill
Cashier says “i only got 8” so u give cashier 2 more bucks to make the 10 n then use the 10 they gave u n ask for 20
Wouldn’t the store have lost 10 not 8??
R did i miss something? Im extremely bad at math obviously lol
I walk in store
But $2 item with a 10 n store gives me 8 ones
I give store 8 ones n they give me a 10 dollar bill
They notice i only gave 8 so i gove 2 more to make it even
So now i have the 10 bill n they have the 10 ones because i made it right by giving him the $2 on top of the 8
I then point at the 10 omes i gave cashier n hold up the 10 they gave me and ask for a 20
They give me a 20
I gave them 10 ones in the end
So os it not they lost ten instead of 8?
@@kaykatt you are correct. the idiot that commentated is wrong
Bro am I slow or something I don’t understand wtf the scam is???
Am i the only one who doesnt see it?
Dont be a cashier lol
And also do be a grade 2 math teacher...
Fungal Cream No: I don‘t fuckin‘ get it!!! I live in Ukraine & they always do that. With every single fucking purchase!!!
To me money doesn’t belong to me. (it
is not mine)
So: maybe that is why I don‘t understand how it works.
Bavex01XPro I slowly get it.
Firt I dindt get it, but pay atention on the transaction. When the guy gave him 2 extra dollars, the transaction was closed, but he also gave the cashier 10 dollars which now has 20 in his hands, but 10 are from last transaction, so the guy got a 10 dollars bill for a 20
Anyone else who feels so ashamed for not understanding the math? Damn and I'm a masters graduate.
Seeing that math is racist now and that they are no longer testing for math proficiency, this might be a new hobby!
lmao I think half the people watching are cashiers and half of them are aspiring con artists
Clever trick. I guess this is why businesses don’t want cash anymore lol
This trick us as old as the hills. Where ever money has been used for trade.
In the 'Paper Moon' movie, with Ryan O'neal & his daughter Tatum, they set about swindling people set in 1930's Depression era - & this slick scam showed up when they confuse store clerks.
How TF!? I still don‘t get it. They always do that with me in Ukraine. With every Pizza order. But: I guess I can‘t calculate.
Why not just stop them next time and play dumb when they ask for another transaction. Say "wait, I'm kinda slow, let me get a pen and paper or use my phone calculator to keep track. I don't wanna change scam you by accident and lose my job"
if your a anxious wreck yeah yourself will get busted
Jeez if your going to take a video at least delete the full sound so I don’t hear two people talking at once 😂
Yeh that scared the hell out of me thought someone was talking behind me…
This shit is really confusing
Imma try that next monopoly game
Thanka for twaching me!
Worst example ever 😂
$2100 in one sitting😆 Legend
wtf is this video doing to my sound
No cash register can be opened at will or no one will help you change your bills since 1997 though
They buy a drink or something cheap and that is when the fraud is performed.
Deddy corbuzier do this
joe rogan brought me here
Do people actually fall for this? How can you not remember that you literally gave the person the money they’re trying to give you lol
Yes it works, its because it happens so fast and by the time you realize what happened (if you even do) it is too late, the person is long gone.
This just happened to me TWICE. I knew something was off but I couldn't notice it at the moment, and I didn't want to be a dick about it so i shrugged it off until I went on break. Then I decided to do some research and realized that I just got scammed
I knew 2 guys who were traveling across the country I live in and literally making $600 - $900 a day no BS doing this
I know exactly how it is done i've done it myself I actually failed the first few times then on my 3rd or 4th time I got an extra $40.00 lol
the best part is if they catch you then you just apologize and pretend you didn't mean for it to happen and give the money back and leave. 🤷🏼♂
Genius
Fuck I tried this I gave them the money cause I was so confused
I got you before you could scam me 😉 nice but you failed
What i gotta google the link? How about you put it in the description?
Why are only black people caught doing this?
