  • Took a few shots coming back from McGrath with a load of feed on a beautiful day. Check out this flight over part of the Farewell Burn, the Big River and the Homestead. I let the video roll through the whole landing sequence so you can see the approach. Landing to the north. Enjoy!

    Where did you get the droop tips and patroller doors on the 108?

    • @morganbeasley
      @morganbeasley  Рік тому +1

      Droop tips are an STC that isnt available any more. Doors are a minor mod that is really easy to do. No structural changes.

    Wow! I can't describe it in english. In spanish we say: "sobrecogedor" maybe you can translate it.
    And a question: are you drinking Cherry Coke?? Here we can't find it since 90's.

    • @morganbeasley

      yes, I found it for half price in Mcgrath, it might be from the 90's for all i know

    Hey can your doors come off easily enough if you need to load something awkward?

    How did you make this happen? I grew up in Alaska, and worked hard all my life. I think I'm older than you. I'm still too poor to buy either land or a plane.
    Not trying to be sour or bitter, or... Er, salty?
    My dad drove a stinson 108-2 for a time as a sailplane tug. It had the original Franklin 145 and a climb prop. It did the job (sorta) but not a short-field plane by any stretch.

      I saved a lot of money, never paid rent, lucked into some lucrative work for a couple years and found a partner who supported it all. Money is still a stress for us and issue we worry about.

    Dig the patrol doors

    • @morganbeasley
      @morganbeasley  3 роки тому +2

      They are a huge help flying on skis and in flat light. Overall a huge improvement in situational awareness while crossing ridges or identifying a place to put it down in an emergency. Its a really easy conversion to put them in as a minor alteration. The door frame is basically ready to accept the acrylic window with relatively little work.
