I agree God is adaptive and I praise God for being an adaptive, loving, merciful Leader. However, God has no need to "repent or be shamed" in order to be gracious.
Dr. Heifetz, your talk was very stimulating. At the end of your talk, you made some comments about God being an adaptive leader. You mentioned some passages in the Bible and after reading Genesis 18 and Exodus 32 it is clear that God is a gracious, merciful God. I do not agree that God "repented or was shamed" and therefore changed His mind about destroying sinful people. Instead, I understood His relenting as evidence that He's a loving and gracious God. He wants us to use our power of petitionary prayer (like Abraham's and Moses’s pleading with God) and communicate our wants and needs. I agree God is adaptive and I praise God for being an adaptive God and Leader. He will listen and adapt His plans based on our requests, fervent prayers, meditations, etc. He is an all-powerful, all knowing, merciful and loving God.
Evolution of the human being?
He must be joking!!!
Unbeliavable.
