What a spot for a bivi Gerry , magical views in the morning. It's strange how man leaves his mark on a hill but over time his discarded machinery slowly blends in to the landscape. Great video , thanks for sharing. Mick.
Another beautify video Gerry. Donegal is a rugged which is natural and you're captured it again with this video. The weather didn't look or sound that hospitable for an over-night bivy? Some fantastic shots, really crisp. 👌👌👌Thanks Aidan
Love it Gerry, lucky you, stunning scenery yet again and great videography and documentary skills, keep them coming well done... still on the noodles..... :)
It's hard to beat Donegal for remoteness and natural beauty, Gerry. You are definitely hard core camping out like that. I will have to do this climb one day but I tried to do Errigal almost 2 years ago and couldn't get out of the car because of the gale force winds and driving rain! You got a great 2 days. Regards, Ashley
I did wonder without the benefit of helicopters gerry how they got that machinery up that mountain. Of course they would have taken it up in pieces. Hardy folk for sure. Well, a full view gerry over soup. It was good to hear you had a good nights sleep on that tiny bit of green bedding there. The views and moments amid the grandeur were, as ever, inspiring horse included. You do it every time. Have a great week. Mark
Cheers Mark, i think manual labour would have been the way, as you say perhaps in pieces. A different time me thinks with alot less of the creature comforts of today, where more physical effort and walking was required for life and work. You have a great week too :-)
Plenty of room - it is just like having another sleeping bag over your proper sleeping bag. My head is outside of the bivy looking at the stars. I have only once had to cover the bivy over my head and that was because of midges :-)
Can’t wait to do this, you’ve provided the perfect motivation for this American, thank you
Marc, it is a stunning track to the summit of Muckish and you would really enjoy it (in decent weather)👍😊

Aiden, it was grand wrapped up in the sleeping bag and bivy with some shelter from the wind and no rain. We both know what a fantastic area it is :-)
Beautiful video Gerry, amazing, clear views from the top and some impressive footage of the descent along the track.
Cheers David, the views were brilliant as was the trip :-)
Some stunning shots there, you really did get some perfect light, thanks for sharing 👍
Cheers David, it was pretty cool on the way up as the cloud cleared and the dropping sun was shining :-)
Great views, the weather looked great too!OMG that narrow minors path looked steep and tricky ,MMM maybe one day i'll give that one ago! ATB Ana
Cheers Ana, not that steep or tricky, just looks it :-)
Magical views, thanks for sharing this with us, great video greetings.
I'm just back from Gweedore. I've climbed Errigal a few times but never Muckish. Brilliant footage Gerry! Thanks.
Cheers John, Errigal is a fantastic mountain and so is Muckish, though with a different character and probably a wee bit quieter 😊
Great stuff, Gerry - Love how calm it was up there and what cracking views :)
Cheers Derek, it is some mountain :-)

Another great video... I like and subscribe to your channel 👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻
Great footage again Gerry, I still can't get my head around how you sleep in that bivvy though is it not very claustrophobic?
