If I do another build will do water cooling. Since this is trolling I will just do air cool via fans. At medium power for over an hour that motor does get hot
Pulled 34amps at full power. eBay battery is well a gamble and does not have the capacity I had hoped. Could have built a lifepo4 pack for my $ but it was a gamble. At trolling speed it would be pulling 10a or less
awesome build, i plan to make something similar with dual hub motors from a hoverboard and did you throw out the og motor or do you still have it, i have a very similar one, i would buy it of you in any condition for parts
i would not repair it i would just keep it for parts like spare head, rings, carburetor parts, Reed valves, just things that are hard to get, take long to ship or economically don't make sense to buy new, i currently have soldered together main jet holder thing because it cracked@@omieyouknowme
@@phoenixrc0074 that motor was submerged for weeks maybe months. There was nothing to salvage except the nuts and bolts that held it together. I could not split case open even with heat and sledge.
Looks great

The old motor was seized, repairing it would have cost more than this entire prot
