The reader of this audiobook speaks so well. His enunciation of every syllable is perfect😭 😭
It's missing the last 2 sentences.
"a thousand waters-and the deep and dank tarn at my feet closed sullenly and silently over the fragments of the "House of User""
@@bosiedouglas8993 bruh chill it’s a story. I wouldn’t consider you having a life by typing that 🙄
Had to read this for English, really didn't expect to be this creeped out.
This book was assigned for english class and I was like "how the heck am I supposed to understand this-" and I was trying to understand it by siri reading it to me and then I found this... I think its safe to say that this reading saved my english grade quite literally because my test is on this book. I shared this recording and it helped my friends as well. Thank you so much for posting you saved me! =D
Thank you . I had a hard time reading this without you
i had to read this for one of my classes. nah im just gonna listen to it.
Am in love with this audio ! The reader's voice is so beautiful, his reading is so clear and easy to grasp and his tone and performance conveys the creepiness of the words perfectly ! I would listen to him reading any other book !
I have been looking for another excellent narrator of ghost/gothic stories. I have one British narrator Simon Stanhope. Now I've finally found the other. Yourself. Thank You SO much. So beautifully narrated and soft and very absorbing..
I’m listening to this as i lay in bed at night and i can hear a storm in the distance, safe to say i’m scaaaared
I have a test on this story in third period today. Thank you for this audio! I love Poe’s work, and your voice is beautiful.
I feel that Poe is mostly describing himself when he describes the house and is childhood friend

@@paramaghosh3585 it was actually his cousin if that makes it worse. I have heard tho that he did it to protect her from another man who was actually interested in her and they actually had a sibling relationship but idk how true that is so take it with a grain of salt.

Thanks for this! Great reading of story.
What a genius... In word....and texture.... ....in form!!!!..... I n delivery!!!!!!
Not sure why the recording cuts off the last sentence. Other than that, it is a nearly flawless reading of Poe's story.
I can't explain but this is me right now.
Nice audio.
Its proprietor, Roderick Usher, had been one of my boon companions in boyhood … yet I really knew little of my friend, and I told him: “I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want…. I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills …”
thank you so much for this wouldn't have read it otherwise
Bravo! I sped up the recording a little because I'm a fast reader and 46 minutes felt a bit much for me, but I surprisingly really enjoyed this poem. I was not looking forward to it, as being homework for my English class, but I felt myself be so absorbed in the ending... I haven't read many truly good horrors written, not filmed, but this is definitely one of the best.
Brilliantly written like all of Edgar Allan Poe's short story novelas.
Listen to this first, then read it. Makes more sense.
This is an amazing reading.

And extraordinarily accurate and precise reading of classic gothic literature.
With good expression for those who can't pick up the tone when reading it themselves

The colors of the rooms......reminds me of the limslight....in N.Y.C....during a "Mr Bungle" show..."YOU FUKKS"...... in 1992- 93.....
I guess the tumultuous shouting sound got him 🤷🏻♂️
Yo if anyone is still here can you give me a quick recap of what this is about for English.
To bad it stops short at the end by one sentence... the climax of the whole book

The narrator must be Liam Neeson.
Who is reading this story? He sounds like Liam Neeson.
I think the narrator is Peter VanZant from Dateline NBC

Hey! What's good? Saw you were a fan of Usher and thought you might dig my music. Check out my new single on my channel. Let me know what you think! Hope you enjoy. -Zach
I listened to this because Lovecraft was such a big admirer of Poe. But honestly, this is overwrought rubbish.
If short on time you can put it on 1.25 speed and it still somewhat makes sense
Your a legend ibdidnt even think of that thx
I like to put mine on 2x, I hate reading with a passion
@@derricklyons5231 Why even listen to it at that point
Thankyou, time crunch for writing a paper on this that’s due tmr 👌🏻
