    Good to see you back. I always enjoy your content. You always offer a different niche over other channels in the 4wd/camp genre! 👍

    As a single dad who has had a bit of a mare of a year (like many of us) - reading for a couple of hours then having an afternoon nap is a very exciting prospect! Good to see you back out and about mate!

    Yep, short weekend trips are welcomed. You made me look up Byfield NP! I used to do water sampling of CSG wells around Dingo and Bluff, West of Rockhampton. Amazing country to explore

    You and Defender Mods are the only two 4wd channels I follow. And I drive a landcruiser. Must be doing something right. Enjoyed as usual. Thanks :-)

    Not boring at all, we don’t all need to be bombarded with extreme off roading, kit and gratuitous drone footage. Your knowledge and just laid back, personal manner is great viewing and you’re very knowledgeable and a great host. Thank you

    G’day from Jafffa Adventures. We recently did a Byfield trip (and cut a UA-cam video) and Big Sandy is definitely a decent run...and yes the video never shows how steep it actually is. Keep up the good work mate😎👍

    Prickly pears are an interesting thing, they basically took over large parts of Australia fam land until they introduced a moth that would kill them, But in recent years I have noticed an increase in prickly pear plants growing in the wild.

    Only a really big tide causes any problems on nine miles beach…you might have to wait a while for it to drop to cross freshwater creek sometimes, but it’s always a solid bottom. Can be good fishing from the stockyard end of nine miles sometimes!

    Hi Brett. Joe come with everything have on your rig, you still don’t have a simple awning for sunshade from the qld sun? You just try to park under a tree every time you stop for lunch? You can buy them for just over a hundred.

      I used to have one installed, but rarely use it. I carry my tarps on longer trips with some poles. Saves have all that extra weight and drag sitting on the side of my car 365 days when I've only been camping for 3 of them.

    Plebidonax deltoides or Donax deltoides is a small, edible saltwater clam or marine bivalve mollusc, endemic to Australia. It belongs to the family of either the Donacidae, or the related Psammobiidae. It is most widely known as the pipi (also spelled pippi, plural pipis or pippies) in the eastern states of its native Australia. In South Australia, it is called the Coorong cockle, Goolwa cockle, or Goolwa pipi, for the region where it is most abundant, or by its Ngarrindjeri name, kuti. In south-eastern Queensland, it is often also known as eugarie or (y)ugari, a borrowing from the local Yugambeh and Ugarapul languages.

    There are no poisonous cacti, so you can enjoy it :) Though this one is rather annoying to eat. I am talking about fruits just to clarify ))

    • @RoamingTheOutback
      @RoamingTheOutback  3 роки тому +1

      I found a fruit today and had a taste. Very mild, bland, and loads of large black seeds. I think it would be best to add plenty of sugar to make it tasty.

      @@RoamingTheOutback I remember really enjoying fruits from cacti that I found near Lightning ridge. It's name Cereus repandus, in my opinion it's even better than dragon fruit.
