I don't have access to anything other than x-acto knifes and razor based knives. Would it still be possible to build this?

Might be tough since the handle is pretty thick and was cut with my bandsaw and scroll saw?

Could work. As long as it’s long enough to get through what the bandsaw does.
No rules, if you have something that can do the trick, totally go for it!
