Hey Richard! It is AMAZING! I cant believe this video was from the last one. We wanted to be back there in 2020 for KNY before all hell broke loose - apart from the water fights, it's a fantastic atmosphere all over town!
It looks like a lot of fun. Full of energy. Wish to experience that one day but the new year weather in Cambodia is too hot for Cambodian Americans to bear. Hahaha!!
Hi Srok America! You are right, it is amazing fun and a great experience! We would never get anything like these celebrations back in Australia, and probably not in Srok Americ either! Don't worry about it being too hot - the water cools you down very quickly! Hopefully when the world is back to normal you can experience KNY in Cambodia. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy our videos 👍
Agree it was so hot this year, the water fights were a great way to cool off in the heat though! I'd like to see how we can make the celebrations a little more sustainable with the use of water, especially when its so dry.
Yep I will be back in April - it will be my third Khmer new year! Hope to make some more awesome videos - and have lots more water fights! See you there!
Marc's Mildly Interesting Adventures I’m so excited to know that brother 😍😍 If you come to Siem Reap city could you tell me please I want to meet you and let enjoy together bro. I’m living in Siem Reap
I Hope so too. We were supposed to be in SR for KNY 2020. I don’t know when we will be able to go back :( hopefully you guys can have a big water fight for us :)
😁😁 spot on!! Might not have been the cleanest shower but it’s so good in that April heat! Did you ever get involved in the new year’s celebrations on one of your trips over?
Cambodia have been using both words Songkran and Chol Chnam Tmei long time ago. I've seen the word "Songkran" in our national calendar since i was young.
@@supakpapakau2496 I meant we still use both words nowadays. Songkran has been used more often during official announcement by national TV and Chol Chnam Tmei is a more used by general population. Because Thai and Khmer have the same belief according the Songkran Myth of Kabil Mohaphrom and his 7 angels.
Supak Papakau before you open your dog mouth you should study more about Khmer culture and Khmer language fist some of your words that you us every day some come from Khmer language and that word we us more then 1000 years already

hi
Thanks for watching Chea Ceab - hope you enjoyed!
