Mighty Chuck! I deeply loved MHC when I was a kid, back in Italy, and you guys were shipping my monthly comics to me. I deeply love MHC today that I live in the US. Chuck, you have always been an inspiration to me. Keep on doing these videos and please create a Q&A session where people will be able to send you questions on the market, on specific comics, on MHC, etc.

Your passion for a well ordered, systematic comic book collection is unmatched! It's awesome that you have a business like used comics that can be this orderly.

Hollywood, California had several used bookstores in the mid-1970s. In 1975 I had a chance to buy Amazing Fantasy #15 for $25; it was high up on the wall behind the cashier. I bought a Shadow pulp for $25 instead.

I loved Barney Bear as a kid...so funny that you talk about it here...thanks for taking the time to make these informative and passionate videos about the comic book world. I grew up in CO and have fond memories of your stores.

Can you talk about the chipmunk mascot of milehigh? How'd he come to be? Scrooge was apart of my childhood in Duck Tales. Chuck you've been around comics all your life. Does a collection ever end or does it keep going? People have been saying your a high priced greedy guy. Well I remember in the 90s you were really cheap. Id but issues a buck a piece. Now stock has decreased so I don't blame you. I just buy certain issues I need now. Planning on purchasing an order from you soon. Your right that condition doesnt always matter. It's what the comic experience brings out of us.

I remember in the old days of San Diego Comic con, you could order books from Mile High store and they would ship them down to the convention so you could pick them up at the booth. It was convenient.

It would be great to see comics such as Barney Bear at the local comic marts but all the dealers are only selling Marvels and DC etc, those sort of old tatty comedy etc never turn up (as you say, never going to make a huge amount on them) - would love to see more Dells / Charltons etc at the shows

Tells me that over street may be significantly inaccurate.

A price guide, by definition, is neither accurate or inaccurate. A book full of guesswork is going to be hit and miss in terms of real world application; it's just an average tallying of recorded sale prices.

@@deborahdesanto2313 He price gouges. I just saw a video of his store and I've been collecting for 10 years or so and just learned about this guy. I've kept my eye on comic creators not dealers, but his store was suppose to be the greatest. Well it's huge, no doubt, but the prices.....hell no. A youtuber is walking around filming his store and I see a Superman vs Spiderman in VG for 270 bucks. In VG it should be more like a hundred and some change, maybe 110 or hell maybe even 150, but 270 is insane. Then I found out apparently he price gouges the hell out of various comics. I got Superman vs Spiderman for less than 100 bucks at my local comic book store in better than VG 4 years ago. You can get it off Ebay for about 30 to 120 bucks.

@Aten Akehnaton . I don't think calling it gouging is necessarily fair. Is it really gouging if he's always priced on the high end?
I think people should make informed decisions when purchasing comic books. You need to do research on price and quality of product a dealer offers. MH is not a place I would likely shop at because of this.

@@robertt9342 Yeah I would call it gouging. The thing is, it's a comic, a luxury good, so ultimately, as you said, it's on the buyer to know what they're getting.
