🙏🙏🙏.....
Hi Kimberly Hill, Yes prayers going up for your Daughter :-)
Just prayed
❤🙏
I well pray for your daughter.
I’m almost positive you put water in the wide end with the narrow stuck in your plant. It will slowly keep your plant watered. I love it!
yes
That's what I was thinking
My thoughts too
Yes it is and I have some. You can still buy them.
The Plant Nanny is not an Antique. Even today Amazon & Temu sells them. They come in a six pack or more. They are to stick in a hanging or potted basket to add water in. Some people put them next to a plant I in their container gardens.. It is to slowly water a plant. I so enjoy your thrifty finds. Funny how we look at some item & can’t figure out what is this used for. Then someone kindly tells us & it makes since THANKS FOR SHARING
Tessie, you soak the plant nanny and put it in one of your pots. Then you screw in a bottle of water in the top, so that the water is pouring into your nanny. Your plants will slowly absorb the water. Janet
Tessie…that is a plant watered. You push it down in the soil of your potted plants and fill with water. You need to be sure the terra cotta is all the way in the soil to the glazed part. Good luck with your new treasures!!!:):):)
Tessie your Plant nanny is a plant waterer for your container plants. You stick it into the soil and then put water into the top. The water will slowly seep out and keep your plant watered - you just need to check the soil and make sure the plant nanny always has water in it. It will not make your soil soggy. Get find. I have several of them made in glass and it helps to keep the plant healthy.
You had a wonderful haul today. Enjoy and have a peaceful day 😊😊❤❤

Hope That You Have A Great Evening Too Julie😊

Hey Girl !!! That plant nanny holds a wine bottle. Fill with water and stick into the soil near your plants.
Yippeeeee...THRIFTY THURSDAY.
You put a bottle...pop, wine bottle, etc of water into the plant nanny...place in the ground and the terra cotta slowly dispenses the water
Hi Tess, I'm big on gardening here in Canada, and that terra cotta thing is a water wick! It's called many things but basically you put it in the dirt next to a plant, fill it with water, and the water slowly wicks out of the clay and keeps your plant roots moist.
Love the videos, keep up the good work! Cheers! TK
A "plant nanny" is a waterer for an out door plant or a potted plant. You soak it, then stick, it in the pot or ground and keep filled with water! Waters your plant so you don't have to every week! Push it into the dirt up to the glazed part! Great find! You need to invest in a more sturdy shovel! Saw it bend a little when you were digging the hole for the lemon verbena! Wish I could send you all my tools I don't use anymore!❤😊
Hi Tessie love where your sitting it’s so cute❤ you could drill a little hole on the bottom then put flowers in it❤
yes to put water in and stick in plants😊
Ya put water in it and put it in your potted plant it slow release waters your plants at the root level so bury it deep to about 1/2-1” above soil level
You sure find treasures at your thrift store Tessie. Really different types of things. It's great. Love seeing your garden, it is so pretty. You always do such wonderful projects.
It's an Olla. It waters your plants, while using less water. It can be used while on vacation :)
It’s for watering plants. Helps to save water. The unglazed part of the terracotta will slowly seep water into the pot, where the roots are. Push into ground up to glazed part, fill with water and cover with a rock. Do this fr plants that are very thirsty, or maybe a houseplant you keep forgetting to water!. Cheers.
I too paid six dollars for a basket last year. I needed a big one to keep my potatoes in and finally found one at Goodwill. Pricey but exactly what I wanted. That book has some adorable pictures in it. I can't wait to see what you do with them. Glad to hear you finally found your lemon verbena.
That basket is huge! Great buy. That book is adorable, I am a huge cat person and I saw a cutie in there.
It looks like a version of an olla (pronounced oye-yah). You put it in the ground up to the glazed part. Fill it with water. And if possible, make a lid for it like a little cork. Then the water will slowly seep out thru the clay into the ground The lid will prevent excess evaporation and/or mosquitos. I think it was used in Spain and other Mediterranean countries
Hi Tessie!! Thrifty Thursdays are my favorite!! Love that big basket!! Your Amazon book is so sweet!! I love those vintage bunnies too!! ❤️☺️
The terracotta Plant Nanny is a self watering system. Stick it into the soil. It will hold a filled water/soda/wine bottle as it gradually seeps into the soil.
You put a bottle that's been filled with water upside down into your Plant Nanny.
Happy Thursday Tessie ❤
Hi, Tessie. Happy Thrifty Thursday! Love that basket! You're right-that terracotta item is for deep-watering plants. You bury it, and it slowly waters the plants. 🪴
Tessie you always find the coolest things at that little thrift store, love the basket.
Plant nanny is used in potted plants .you push it into the potted plant than take a long necked bottle like a glass empty wine bottle and fill with water. Turn the bottle into the plant nanny and it slowly waters indoor plants while away. I discovered these at a home I use to house sit for. You will only need to fill the bottle once a week . And it will keep plants watered. I hope this makes sense to you. Have a great day Tesse.
That is a cute book you got for yourself. I like the color of the pages and animals . Your garden is looking pretty. A lot is growing.
Ollas are clay inserts for ground or pots, adding water to the interior, it slowly seeps into soil keeping soil from parching.
Who Loves Tessie's Thrifty Thursday time :-)
ALWAYS ❤
I do 💞
Love it! ❤
It might be a graveside flower container that fits in the opening that are on some gravestones.
Oh Tessie your garden is absolutely beautiful. Love your thrifty finds. Have a blessed day friend
So beautiful Tessie..it gets pretttier every day.💐🌴
Beautiful video Tessie! The lovely garden, lovely basket, sweet calming piano music and seeing your efforts in the garden, added beauty to my day! ♥
The plant nanny is a self watering tool for your plants. They slowly release water for your plant xxxx
Love the basket , would look beautiful with freshly picked flowers....your garden looks amazing... 👍❤️🌹
I Googled it and it is a water device for your plants. So you were right.
Your terra cotta piece is made to fit a wine bottle or other long neck bottle. Soak the terra cotta for five minutes, fill the wine bottle with water and stick it into the top of the terra cotta and put the pointy end in the ground near your plant. It is supposed to water it for a week so you can go on vacation and the plants will be ok. Evidently, if you don't soak the terra cotta first, it will absorb the water in the bottle too quickly. Love the gathering basket.
Hi tessie
I had to look up what a plant nanny was too lol. It looks like it helps your plants take root and helps keep the roots watered and healthy. It helps the roots hearty. Thanks for the challenge and making me research something I’ve never seen before. Now I’ve learned something new and I will be on the lookout for these. Great items. I absolutely love the spoon. Tessie you’ve got to be one of the most appreciative people I’ve ever seen. I love your kindness
I love Lemon Verbena too. I always find it at one of the Amish greenhouses
Yes, a beautiful book of animal drawings.
You put the plant nanny in the soil , next to a plant ..fill it with water and the the water seeps slowly out the pores of the terracotta and takes care of your house plants when you're away
Tessie the terra-cotta item is like a Mexican o y a which is to help water plants. This one I believe uses a water bottle. Poke a whole on the top of the water bottle with a pin then place water bottle with cap side into the whole .This will help water your plants roots . Burry the terracotta piece up to the neck. Hopefully this will help. Maia
Hey Tessie. You found some great treasure, esp that basket is just really gorgeous. Have a blessed day ❤️
cute things from thrift store as always! I think the terra cotta item is to water plants with. Your garden is beautiful. ❤😊
Plant nanny. Maybe asparagus blanched ?

Your Terracotta plant nanny is for watering plants. You fill it with water and it will leech water out to plant
Good finds especially that spoon. So cool. Your garden looks good. Ifn I dont see ya here I'll see you up yonder way. ❤😊
the Terra cotta item is a waterer. You can pour water directly into it and it will slowly seep out. How I use it for longer lasting is to invert a water filled soda bottle in it.
The plant nanny is for plant watering.
Nice thrifty Thursday love the homemade wooden spoon ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I had some of the clay waterers. You put it in the soil and put a bottle of water upside down in it. It will slowly water your plant for you
It babysits your garden plant and water flows into ground when needed
Wow! That was a nice combination of scenes. Lovely!
Yep, Its plant stake water...Not sure how it works without a hole in bottom, must absorb though the terracotta 🤷♀️
🐯Vintage Bunny Rabbits soooo cute
You amaze me. Your garden is gorgeous.
You can still buy plant nanny's, for watering plants
That is a terracotta plant waterer. What I read is you fill a recycled wine bottle with water then put the wine bottle in the plant nanny. Of course the plant nanny would be in the ground first.
Sooner late today but sooo happy to be here😊😊💝💝💝
😅the terracotta thing is exactly what you think. It is used to water a pot plant when you are away. Fill it with water stick it in the pot and water will slowly seep through the terracotta and water the plant like drip watering
Another good thrifty Thursday. Thanks for the video.
It's an olla. You stick it next to your plant, and it slowly waters your plant
