well do you really listen to native dsd ? as far as i know almost all amplifier ca transport an audio signal up to 192khz 24bit dsd starts with dsd 64 2.8 mhz. so who do you do that,?
I still don't understand why there are no easy to use software to output 512 DSD. Even if you go to and pay 250 Euros on a software, you see that they recommand RME ADI-2 DAC that is 256 DSD. With all those brands offering 512 DSD and even 1024 DSD solutions one would assume they would make software. To be honest I could not find a sure way to output 512 DSD from a PC. Everything is try an error, this may or may not work with this or that. I am still thinking if I should build my DSD library based on 512 DSD and pay a subscription, or go for the 256 DSD.
@@DarklordofBarovia I also use foobar. But it can do up to DSD 256. Jriver can do 512 but even if it is Direct Stream it somehow manage to fuck it up. Jriver suck the life out of music. I can't explain it in technical terms but the sound have no excitement, no joy. So I went back to Foobar, but the issue still exist. There is no 512 / 1024 DSD player
Perhaps consider purchasing an astell and Kern portable high res player, you can also purchase a dock for them and just feed this to an all analog amplifier via balanced output.
@@puglife6291 that was a a 3 year old post. 3 years later I did found that DSD matters only in low end audio, while there is still a difference, it is smaller that the difference in mastering, and that investing in gears that matters like cutting out any USB from the chain, hi quality linear power supply, hi quality real glass optical cable and stupid low jitter source, makes more of an impact then 1024 DSD. Now is PCM and DSD 64 for me, as for the indicated source, it is not for me. In a world with everything is made in china, I don't see chinese products as being interesting or cool, so no chinese product in my chain as far as I can control it. I am sure there are some smearing of china here and there but everything must be made not in china.

The reality is that 99.99% of audio in the real world is 44.1 or 48k. That's not going to change in the foreseeable future.

What are you on about? Amplifiers are analogue. Even class D amps, id consider to be analogue.

Foobar did it for me - took me 10 minutes to set it up
