aye! here’s some tips from a champ 1:
- sometimes chasing someone who back dashes with a front dash or side dash isn’t good. you can just walk to the side to follow them and reach them most of the time (at close range)
- watch what your opponent is doing and learn what they’re gonna do next
- utilize feints against professionals who can dash and infighter styles such as charge and ippo due to their inability to backdash
- ultimates can block break when the opponent’s guard is at 15% or lower
- dashing in blindly will sometimes get you pded or countered if you attack immediately after dashing, so watch your opponent closely and dash in when they whiff an attack
- learn how to read attacks

A really small tip for Smash:
Smash have a pretty good gimmick for block damage, his m2 is pretty fucking deadly for block people, so a tip is that
You want to just hit them with a m1 once then m2 them because they expect you to throw a barrage m1
And if they dodge the attack then use feint & you can do a small m1 then m2 or continue the barrage

A good way you can fight an opponent that dashes a lot, you can stretch your feint, making them think your throwing a heavy but your actually throwing a light, It can be difficult to time but it's VERY useful. Another thing that's saved me a lot with things like hammer and multiple styles is that you dodge back and throw a heavy and make them think your taunting them when your actually throwing another feint. One more thing that's handy is studying the styles, they have a certain movement type, like Hawk will typically throw a heavy the same way he threw a light, hammer will almost always hit from the left if they do a light then a heavy, and a tip for Charge users is to WATCH THE STAMPEDE you might think the low punches are just low damage but they actually sap your stamina. I know you didn't fight a Charge user but It's better to know sooner than later.
P.S. I forgot to mention that you can emote to study them if they're passive, It might just be something I'm good at but idk, try what you like and use it to your advantage.

You can break your opponents guard with your ULT, if its low enough, i have done it many times.

OK so some tips for reaching a higher rank (works with every style) don't go full agro u can just front dash if they are being passive also work on the pd's and to counter hammer just click f very quickly they think u block they click the ability and u pd it bcs the last m1 didn't hit also u can click your block off and on again if the ability stw triggers and always fight very strong opponents to learn (I am 20k elo so please listen)
