Unlike the previous series, this one actually rewards watching each and every individuals POV. If two people were together, that was essentially the same thing, but now each perspective is unique due to the nature of the secret task. GENIUS.

Grian and Mumbo will always and forever be my favorite duo. Whenever I watch them I suddenly realise I have the biggest smile or even tears in my eyes from the silly jokes and the chemistry they have.
I love how Grian and Mumbo had similarly themed tasks, but it turns out in a way so that Mumbo practically makes Grian's task impossible and Grian makes Mumbo's task blatantly easy.
as somebody who is hard of hearing... i LOVE these subtitles- not ONLY do they exist in the first place, but everytime someone speaks, their name pops up- AND IT'S COLOUR CODED- i didn't even know you could do that! each person has their own colour and that makes things so much more easy to understand! previously i watched scott's one and i struggled to understand a LOT of what was going on because i couldn't hear or figure out what people were saying 😭 same with lizzie's which i watched before scott and grian i love subtiltes, and i have to say, these are some of my favourite subtitles ever ♥

If it's me I'd say as long as the person you tricked expressed that they actually think it's true at one point, and the person it's about doesn't find out by the end of the session- then it's a win, even if the person you tricked came to realize it wasn't true after the conversation

It was absolutely priceless when Scar was saying he could hear nerds and then quietly in the distance you just hear Etho say, "Are you callin' me a nerd?!" Something about the volume drop-off over distance just makes that kind of thing 10x funnier to me.

Task idea: Create a treasure trail/hunt with signs and the like that lead in a circle. Convince a player that there is treasure at the end and have them spend (3) minutes going in a loop.
Suggestion: Call 5 redstone components (dust, torch, repeater, ect) by their incorrect names infront of a Redstone expert on the server without them correcting you

Hard Task Idea: Convince another player that you have the same task that they did. It would be fun because you would have to figure out what their task was and then pretend to be doing the same thing around them for long enough that they ask you if you have the same task they did. It'll also be challenging because they'll know you're lying if you just told them your task was theirs because that would cause you to fail so you really have to act like it's your task and make them come up with the idea that it's what you have. Also, you would be in a rush to do it because you couldn't start till someone finishes their task.

I think a funny task would be getting someone else to express concern over your safety at least once. It would mean you’d have to do risky things and risk damage in order to complete your task

I just got into Grians channel fairly recently so when I was watching Secret like and Hermitcraft I always wondered why these two seemed to gravitate towards each other, but after I found out how close they where it all made sense and it just makes me smile

Grian, I've watched Hermitcraft for years. I believe since season 2. I love the Hermits and everything they're done; but, by God, you've brought a such a vitality to the Minecraft world. Whether by script or improvisation, I truly appreciate and have been uplifted by your endeavors across all the different series.
I love how Grian solidified puns as a bit with Mumbo so they both started laughing every time they made a pun, then half the server started following them around making it almost impossible to slip in a bad joke without someone laughing
Suggestion: in front of other players, pretend you're talking to another player of your choice that isn't there (perhaps act like they're responding, the other players are just too far away to hear). the task is completed once someone else also tries to talk to the player you're pretending is there.

I also have some too You have to build your first base out of your least favorite block and live in it for the entire session You can’t eat any meat or animal product entire session You can only use one tool for the entire session your choice You can only use and mine, one type of wood for the entire session You can’t move a single block her item in your inventory for 10 minutes straight. You can’t touch any grass for 10 minutes In my final one, you can’t make a single pun and if you see someone making one or hear someone making one scream and run away like a crazy person for the entire session. Sorry, my brain to full of things You have to have a birthday party and get at least five other people with you. Change your skin slightly and try to hide it so nobody else notices for the entire session . Make a zoo with at least three animals Build a statue of anything as long as it looks cool You can only talk to three people on the server anyone else tries to talk to you you cannot respond at all.
Increase the time to something like 3-4 minutes just to make sure they don't complete it in the first attempt, making it much more hilarious for both the one with the task and the one being eavesdropped
to hard to verify, remember each player has to determine their success within a time span of a session and for that you would pretty much need to confirm it with the other player or watch their video

Maybe better even: Turn the doors around, so that they are closed in the open state. That way a pressure plate would always open them when they get off it.
task: don''t sprint for a whole video if you don't think it's social, picture this, it's night, everyone is trying to avoid mobs, yet you are just walking, everyone has to wait for you if they want to go somewhere, and it adds extra challenge to the fact you can't regen without finishing the challenge
@@toastge you would have to name all panes different things so they don't stack, so maybe throwing 1 at a time while the other player is distracted doing something, like crafting or mining, could work, but it would definitely be a hard task
if there’s more than one open slot in their inventory, the panes would need to stack to 64 so other slots could be filled, which would make it obvious. the person would need an inventory with only one open slot, which could be really hard to find/get w/ how secretive the game is.
Honestly this concept is genius cause you really wanna watch another person's POV, even if it's just to know what task they have. Suddenly you're watching everything with a whole new context, from a not only different player's perspective but just a new perspective on the situation!
Yes! This is the only season where, from the get-go, I'm considering watching every single pov. I'm still trying it out, will pace myself for a few days rather than my bad habit of binging everything I can at once, but _man_ am I so excited for this. Idea: while you are around other people, you are only allowed to speak when spoken too for at least 30 minutes. (If you are alone, you are free to speak to your audience but once someone is in range, you can only speak when they speak to you first.)
The first part isn't even possible unless you literally trap him in an obsidian cage without a pickaxe, and he'd probably still find a way to lose hearts
task idea: this book is a hot potato and after 5 minutes you will fail unless you put it in another persons inventory where they will have 5 minutes to put into another inventory and this goes on until the end of the game where the last person wont fail but have to reroll for a hard task next game.

Grian, I've watched Hermitcraft for years. I believe since season 2. I love the Hermits and everything they're done; but, by God, you've brought a such a vitality to the Minecraft world. Whether by script or improvisation, I truly appreciate and have been uplifted by your endeavors across all the different series.

I love how Grian solidified puns as a bit with Mumbo so they both started laughing every time they made a pun, then half the server started following them around making it almost impossible to slip in a bad joke without someone laughing
Suggestion: in front of other players, pretend you're talking to another player of your choice that isn't there (perhaps act like they're responding, the other players are just too far away to hear). the task is completed once someone else also tries to talk to the player you're pretending is there.
I love how so many of these tasks are just gaslighting people into thinking theyre crazy.

Suggestions:
Do not touch water for the entire session
Sell three things to three different people
Scare three people enough to elicit an audible response
Get somebody to tell you their secret and fail their challenge
Id change it to only scare one person, maybe 2. And getting someone to tell their secret should definitely be a hard task if its added

You have to build your first base out of your least favorite block and live in it for the entire session
You can’t eat any meat or animal product entire session
You can only use one tool for the entire session your choice
You can only use and mine, one type of wood for the entire session
You can’t move a single block her item in your inventory for 10 minutes straight.
You can’t touch any grass for 10 minutes
In my final one, you can’t make a single pun and if you see someone making one or hear someone making one scream and run away like a crazy person for the entire session.

There needs to be a task that is just "Laugh at someone's joke for 1 minute straight", I love that some tasks collide with each other
A task idea I had: stay close enough to hear another player for a full minute without them realizing you’re there.
Increase the time to something like 3-4 minutes just to make sure they don't complete it in the first attempt, making it much more hilarious for both the one with the task and the one being eavesdropped

to hard to verify, remember each player has to determine their success within a time span of a session and for that you would pretty much need to confirm it with the other player or watch their video

1) Scare three people so that they audibly scream
2) Follow someone around and annoy them to the point that they Hit you, Ask you to leave, or try to escape from you
3) Hold an active conversation with one or multiple people for 5 minutes while saying less than 100 words total

Task Idea: Change all of the doors on someone's base, and convince them that they've always been that way.
Maybe better even: Turn the doors around, so that they are closed in the open state. That way a pressure plate would always open them when they get off it.

that's impossible they wouldn't be going afk in planned sessions
@@toastge you would have to name all panes different things so they don't stack, so maybe throwing 1 at a time while the other player is distracted doing something, like crafting or mining, could work, but it would definitely be a hard task
if there’s more than one open slot in their inventory, the panes would need to stack to 64 so other slots could be filled, which would make it obvious. the person would need an inventory with only one open slot, which could be really hard to find/get w/ how secretive the game is.

Honestly this concept is genius cause you really wanna watch another person's POV, even if it's just to know what task they have. Suddenly you're watching everything with a whole new context, from a not only different player's perspective but just a new perspective on the situation!

Yes! This is the only season where, from the get-go, I'm considering watching every single pov. I'm still trying it out, will pace myself for a few days rather than my bad habit of binging everything I can at once, but _man_ am I so excited for this. Be someone's bodyguard for 30 minutes. They should NOT TAKE ANY DAMAGE for 30 minutes. If they do, then switch to another person and restart the timer.
Suggestion: Trade up from a stick to a diamond (you must use the traded item in future trades)

2. Borrow 3 different tools from others and give them back (or a tool of the same kind) enchanted without them noticing
3. Lead another person for 5 minutes without a destination without them leaving
Secret task: get at least 3 people to guess what task you have, by acting Suspiciously each time. I think this would cause some hilarious interactions

Idea: while you are around other people, you are only allowed to speak when spoken too for at least 30 minutes. (If you are alone, you are free to speak to your audience but once someone is in range, you can only speak when they speak to you first.)

task idea: this book is a hot potato and after 5 minutes you will fail unless you put it in another persons inventory where they will have 5 minutes to put into another inventory and this goes on until the end of the game where the last person wont fail but have to reroll for a hard task next game.
Suggestion: Only use other people’s amenities (crafting tables, furnaces, chests, beds, etc.) for 30 minutes.
Grian spends whole Hermitcraft episodes doing this already
