  • How to Manually RESET RV Electric Slide
The Two Tired Teachers encounted a problem on the first trip of the 2020 season. For the first trip of the season, we like to stay relatively close to home. That is the trip where we trip to get everything in good shape for longer travel.
One side of the slide, the left side when we were inside, was going out like it was supposed to, but the right side wasn't moving with it. In an effort to save us some money, Sharon decided to take a look under the sofa to see if she could see anything that might help with the problem.
Sharon found a little box that looked as if it were the "brains" of the slide. The problem was that it was almost at the other end of the sofa; she couldn't possibly reach it. She decided she would remove the arm of the sofa and see if she could wiggle under to get to the box.
When she had almost completed that task, she noticed three bolts with wing nuts at the front of the sofa. She undid those, removed the front of the sofa, and could easily get to the box.
The directions on the box said to push the button to reset the slide. The problem was there was no button. The next plan was to see if we could find the part on Amazon and have it sent overnight.
We went nearer the park headquarters so we would have WiFi. Amazon had the part, but instead of being around $50 as Sharon had hoped. It was $299. While she was on Amazon, she looked at the part. It, too, said to push the button to reset the slide, and it didn't appear to have a button.
Following the directions on the box, Sharon took a wooden match stick, pressed the button six times, and held it on the sev enth time. The lights flashed when she did that, and we had hope that she had solved the problem.
When she went to the control panel, the slide opened properly and we had no more problems with it. Sharon probably saved us around $200 by resetting the slide herself.

We left the panel off the base of the couch. Lots of storage under the couch. We have baskets that match the couch under there. Just be careful that nothing jams when putting the slide in and out.

Thank you. Our new 2023 Sunseeker classic has two slides. We are traveling home (1000+ miles) from our purchase. The bedroom slide was binding on our 4th stop and your video helped reset it. Now it works normally again.

You Can reset it by inserting a screw driver where it says "push the button", 9 times and hold till it fast flashes. Then use the switch to operate the slide.

The slide on the 5th wheel was a hydrolic slide. When we bought the Micro Minnie, we asked what we would do if the slide malfunctioned. The guy showing us the features of the RV had no idea.
We're supposed to be rainy and maybe stormy for the next few days. Stay safe, Phil.

One of the reasons we started the channel was because we knew nothing about RVs when we got our fifth wheel. At that time, we were both still teaching and were relatively certain we could organize and share things we learned along the way.

I sold my house and was ready to leave in my travel trailer for full-time RVing and just needed to pull the slide in and it was really struggling. I have the Extended Service Plan with Good Sam's but they couldn't even get me in to drop it off for another month and I have a $200 deductible right off the top and they always seem to find a way to charge me more. Then Lord knows how long for the repairs and I don't know what I do in the meantime, unsell my house? I thank you for this video I want to go out and try that. 🙏🙏🙏

Why yes, they do have the Schwinteck Slide System. Ladies, thanks for the slide tip. I’ve been living, 4 to 5 night a week for the last 6 weeks , in my exact same coach (2020 2108 TB). I modified it on day 1, 40 inch Roku TV, big propane tanks, a fantastic fan in the front vent, 2 six volt batteries. On day 5 I had the Gel Coat color sanded and waxed. I have a 28 gallon Rhino portable septic on the rear ladder. I love to make simple meals outside because I loathe cleaning all the crumbs, subsequently detailing the kitchen. Because I depart right after shower, the fantastic fan makes good work of venting the coach before I lock it. I leave no moisture in the shower before I walk away from coach, more emergency departure detailing. My goal is to tread lightly in this coach, always having in Model-Home ready. The salient point is Tread-Lightly if you want to avoid problems and wear. Did I mention I cut the Fantastic Fan right when I use blow dryer? Well, I surely do. I don’t want to visit the fuse box with any frequency. I’m pretending I’m living in a very small foundation based home. So far.......it’s working

Ours is actually a 2018 Micro Minnie 2106 FBS. They were just coming out with the TB when we bought ours, but we wanted to make some other changes -- getting rid of the oven and stove -- putting shelves in the bathroom closet, and putting a crate for Sharon's dog under her bed. It sounds as if you're taking great care of your Micro Minnie. Congratulations!

I fixed it. The old controller had a half teaspoon on steel filings in it. Amazed that it worked as long as it did. Was probably some bone head drilled some holes into the frame and swept them into it. I let them know so they might look out for it in the building process. Working great now. Thank you for you help.
