Preserving old, historical structures and buildings, settling in those old buildings, apartments by renovating to contemporary standards and with best technological products of washing machines, dishwashers, dryers etc. have been giving European citizens richness in their economic stance, (also living without any deadly destructive earthquakes, typhoons, catastrophs) compared to other countries such as hurricane prone Carribean Islands, Florida, Kansas, Turkey (where 604.000 buildings have collapsed and killed lots of turks because of 7 and above earthquakes in 114 years time.)

Very nice video, fantastic views. But why do you reserve 75% of your video to the main square and the town hall building? There is sooooo much more to see in Graz! You missed a lot in this video. I am from Graz and i can tell you, you do not even show half of its great places. It's a shame! Please redo the video with more than the main square and trams. ;-)
Our garden in the formerly conservative district of St.Leonhard had been expropriated to build a bike lane through our garden. Hence we sold our property in the extremely-left Graz and left the country for good, and will never return.

I like Graz and have always found it to be similar to Ljubljana, it's roughly the same size, it has similar architecture, in the middle of old town there is a castle/clock tower up on a hill and both cities have a river running through the center. The only thing I didn't like in Graz was how the river feels unconnected to the city around it. The river with all the bushes and trees that block the views without any nice pathways feels very unordentlich.
Interesting comparison. We loved Ljubljana and this video makes Graz look amazing too but one of the things that was so charming about the old town of Ljubljana was the river and the cafes and walkways along it. -H
Graz looks good but I heard that racism is common in Austria. So sad situation for this nice land because thought and behaviours so more crucial than buildings.
Its the old folks and the media. People are very easy distracted by the media. Its not that serious than you think but its a Problem. The younger people on the other side are very open minded. The biggest L of graz is the major right now. Doing what he wants over the heads of the people. Every green spot gets erased and they building houses everywhere. The air is the worst in graz but the major keeps cutting thousnds of trees. Its sad...
Graz is incredible, I love Europe because is beautiful and full of story.
