Chriztel was not born a Croatian 🇭🇷 but she’s starting to love and grow as one among the people of Croatia.
The fact that she can speak Croatian and sings like a Croatian testifies that she’s embracing Croatian culture and traditions.
From her interview, she says she immigrated to Croatia only 3 years ago, after her mom married her Crotian step-dad. She loves everything about Croatia just as much as she loves her motherland the Philippines. She loves the Croatian culture, the people, and the nature is beautiful.
Can't blame her for the love, Croatia is wonderful and so are the people :) I'm sure people welcomed her nicely as well

@@draganavolaric1152 Dobro onda ... Pitanja identiteta su vrlo kompleksna i gubi ga svijet u cijelini. Kod nas se to počelo događati još u vrijeme socijalizma, a ključan faktor je tzv "građanizacija". Kada na to dodaš i globalizaciju, većina naroda se nađe u čudu pa traži spas u povratku tradiciji, obitelji, religiji, nacionalizmu ... ali ovaj put je to sve anorgansko i izvitopereno. Tako dobijaš nakaradnu nazovi kulturu i svi smo mi žrtve toga. Pošto je taj proces nezaustavljiv, gotovo pa je besmisleno prozivati neke Hrvate za gubitak identiteta.
Nitko više nije izoliran pa mislim da polako i Bušmani gube identitet, a gdje neće neki mali narod u srcu Evrope.
Bez obrzira na opisanu neminovnost, i sama pjesma i izvedba ove male Filipinke su lijepe i bezazlene pa je nekulturno imati ispade razočaranosti/mržnje ispod nečega ipak u osnovi pozitivnog. Čemu ti to treba (osim zabave u vrijeđanju)?
