I have always maintained that as long as the victims of these horrendous crimes are poor, black people, nothing serious will be done to bring the crime situation under control. This and subsequent administrations will seriously make the required efforts to end this nightmare only when the murders and criminal activity start to affect them, the wealthy, the ruling class and the elites.

I went overseas but nowhere like Jamaica. Im glad to be home. I agree with you. We want a change in the laws to reduce the crime but the fear is, the shooting has become so rampant that we cannot protest. There is no guarantee that a change in government will overturn the situation. The oppostion hasnt done a single thing for Jamaicans. We need another opposition leader or another party. Where i live there are no murders or shooting, we just live as one. I am not ruling out migrating but i still believe all hope is not lost.
