It's not really artificial intelligence, it's a data theft program that nicks work off real people and produces a knock off version. Trouble is that it's taken from so many sources that original artists cannot sue. It is indeed worrying how quickly it spread and how easily some people are fooled.
"Trouble is that it's taken from so many sources that original artists cannot sue" and that's different from every artist learning to draw by looking at other works of art?
As a writer and someone who commissions artists often, AI is legit the worst thing that was ever invented, its all theft people refusing to think or do things for themselves the environmental effects...There is no upside...AT ALL, none in the current world that i can see at the moment. Like there are GOOD voice actors you can find for like... 10 bucks...Royalty free music? Most of the time just use classical music, most Orchestra's have already made it so you can use it with out issue (found this out while trying to make a gaming video and it popped up "This is owned by someone else but they allow other users to use it for free") Like there are a ton of things and tools you can use to support someone elses time and not cost an arm and a leg. I mean there are TONS of videos of people hiring cheap voice acting to say lines from an anime and see who can get the closest and they spend like 100$ for like 15 different people its INSANE. And the problem with AI helping with things in Photoshop, its all stolen from artists work ALL of it, there is no ethical use of AI in the current world because ALL of it requires someone else to have done it A LOT first...
Interesting ride matey, the one thing I always think about with newer technologies advancing into the public domain is how much further down the line is the military establishment , W e the public are way behind with whats actually capable, When it comes to UAP,s check out a thing called Project Blue Beam
Ai art is now eating itself due to people reapeating prompts with little changes .still use leanardo but it’s all my own then it goes on to a paper pad after a couple of other apps ,then finished result done ,I’m sticking with my bandit 600 at the moment but if something decent comes along I’ll pull it ,cheers
Used AI image generators a few times. Nothing serious just messing around- Beavis and Butthead working at a Petrol Station, Old Dog walking in Scotland etc. Never posted them online though. It has its uses, just not useful to me
It is definitely getting a lot more difficult to tell, especially for landscape photography. The speed at which AI iterates is also accelerating so the problem will snowball. But then it is not all bad - I don't have to freeze my arse off sat next to a tripod on a hillside waiting for the right light to hit a bit of the countryside if I can sit in the warm and tweak a few prompts to get something almost the same! 😂
to anyone else it might look the same but would you really get the same sense of satisfaction doing that compared to actually going out and capturing something great? I think unfortunately thats going to be the difference, the "arts" including photography which I enjoy will become people doing it for their own enjoyment, but it will become difficult to make money from when swamped by AI generated competition that most people cant tell any maybe dont care how it was created
AI is gonna be bad for all of the things we love. Technology has already ruined human interaction and I'm scared this is going to exacerbate the situation
I actually like the early stuff because it is often so surreal. Like a mad painter going bonkers. I would be more interested in working with that and being creative by correcting the direction of that then faking reality. Furthermore I’d love to see software that can convert 2dimensional projected views into a photorealistic 3D representations That would really fill a giant hole in my arsenal. On the other hand. Real AI is still far off. That’s why it makes stupid decisions when left on its own and it only is artistic by making such mistakes. AI generated music is a good example. Mindbogglingly jawn inducing trash.

Bro I use it but the one thing I never do is put a artists name in ,it’s sketches by me and end result is my imagination , it’s a tool ,

back in the day it cost 2 pounds to fill a yamaha fs1e 1986
It was 100 pound and you had a fantastic Saturday up the bing .
*Wow you went to a Tesco that's something new, don't think I've ever seen you go in there before.* 🤣🤣
Problem TV channels are using AI as well now so the line is becoming blurred even more.
