Talise has expanded from her East Canadian raisin' to become a universalist musician weaving her unique interpretations of other cultures' ballads sweetly.
I've been playing Shady Grove for years but never heard the tune quite that way. I'll have to check out Gracia's version. Several years ago my friend Seth and I were at the Alaska Folk Festival in a tavern restaurant. We played and sang Shady Grove and a young lady came up to us and said "My name is Shady Grove. Love your version." She's a reporter in the Juneau area. 😀
As a fan of our banjo acoustic mandolin and guitar fore father's this is absolutely one who could have brought all of them together to perform with you you're special fool we love you i am watching down the line your videos and im stoked thank you
Great! The vocals are melancholy too and goes well with the tuning, and the banjo rendition is a little different too. Keeping it alive, thank you for that.
Amazing! I just discovered your channel from some other songs, but was especially overjoyed to see you did a version of this tune, always been a huge fan of the Garcia version. You should listen to his playing of “Shenandoah Lullaby” and see if that’s something you’d be interested in playing, I’d LOVE to hear it!
The perfect setting for the best rendition of this song I've heard so far. Thanks Talise.
Thank you Talise for helping me start my morning off right!
Beautiful play as always

Shady Grove is probably the best names i've ever heard for a person
Wow
That's precisely how you gain a new subscriber. I love Doc Watson's version but this rendition is in the Goldilocks Zone. I mean it is JUST right!
